I actually really appreciated a lot of things that they did with this game. There was a lot of opportunities for reading the compass, and you could learn many of the symbol meanings... As a His Dark Materials fan this game was actually a guilty pleasure. I am well aware of the faults but I would play it over and over again even if I know that Will and the upcoming war against heaven Asriel was planning was never going to get a game. Funnily enough it had scenes that were taken straight from the cut ending. Outside of the books everything else from the franchise was rather mediocre. The HBO adaptation is the only one I would call a faithful adaptation and even then they messed it up at points but at least they didn’t censor key plot points on religious grounds and is actually completing the trilogy. 😂 Love this game, but very flawed I totally admit that.
