I love this case because it is relatively compact and good looking. Classic yet modern. I have chosen this case for my new AM5 build. I have Discreet cooling so no radiators in the case.
Im planning on getting it for my next am5 build as well, how does it perform in your experience for am5?

i have a 360 radiator on the top installed since 2 years i own the silent base and it works great. i never tried to install the on the front, but i want to try soon
Great review. I can imagine people specifically asked for a Silent Base version without front bays and fancy experimental stuff that probably drives up the price. This isn't cheap though, we'll see how it goes. I like BQ! unique case designs. Interesting how the mobo tray doesn't go up to the roof, makes me wonder how BQ! would make an meshify or completely open case.....
Would have loved to see a decibel comparison with a generic non silent case.
Also, I realize this video is over a year old but do you have the song name and artist?
Thanks Leo. I was looking forward to finding out more about this case. But I see now it doesn't have an optical bay, it doesn't come with Silent Wings 3 fans, and it should have been an inch taller. I think I will pass. Thanks for the time lapse video.

Thats why I am considering be quiet! Silent Base 600 Silver Window for my new build, any other suggestions?
How did you remove the front dust filter? Pushing up or down? I tried both but there is a lot of resistance and I don't want to break the plastic
I noticed you installed the PSU with the fan up, any particular reason? Does the case require that extra ventilation maybe?
With this case it is probably six of one and half a dozen of the other. The case is filtered at the bottom and the PSU shroud is heavily perforated so it feels like you have the PSU eitehr way up. Incidentally the PSU fans turns pretty darn slowly and proably makes little difference to case airflow.
@@KitGuruTech may be it's bad for PSU cooling ? better install with PSU fan down ?
Can the power supply shroud be removed entirely?
i am a little bit confused about HDD location and measure between them. Is it hot during work?

Thanks for the rewiew. I was wondering why have the psu fan facing up and transfering all the heat to the case? There are no ventilators on the buttom?
There is ventilation on the bottom of this, and it has feet so it is raised. Also confused why he put the cpu fan on upside down and has the fan on the back side.
Any news on the shadow wings 2 fans?
I've been looking forward to be quiet cases that were shown at computex being released. I don't want a rgb case, that's my preference. The other thing with a case i like this the option for more than 2 or 3 3.5 inch hdds. It is really hard to find a case that holds 4 hdds and no rgb. Thing I don't like is the top seems to have no dust fliter which is annoying considering how well thought out the other filters are.
If you need case with lot of storage, i'd find older case that has lots of drive cages and put old hardware in it and run it as NAS.
Seems like rgb no rgb the case trend going forward would be like this, where the hdd cage would be placed at bottom instead of stackable.
It drive me nuts why it's so hard to find a reasonable priced case with 6x 3.5inch hdd. My storage needs is getting bigger and bigger every years goes by and now case manufacturer thinks we only need 2-3x 3,5 drive.
I've been shopping for a case lately and even needing room for three 3.5'' drives and one 2.5'' has been pretty limiting... And I'm also a little concerned about the unfiltered top opening. Might put an outtake fan under it or just block it.
One question. What a RGB motherboard and a RGB graphic card is looking inside a case without glass panel? Isn’t aesthetically just dumb?
On the other hand it would make the video a bit dull. When the panels come off there has to be something to see, otherwise you might get bored.
I was like "damn why spend the extra money on RGB" while preceding to spend the extra money for a silent build

@@robertleeluben .... um... mistake from him... case fan and CPU fan are puling air in different orientations... he had the motherboard oriented different in the cooler installation... the "bequiet" logo is upside down... in the beginning of the video the cooler is in the "right" orientation... and hopeful the fan to....
mistakes happen... he probably noticed it and fixed it...
I notice that you have clocked the cooler 180 degrees as the wording 'be quiet' was upside down lol
Would like to you review something like the Louqe Ghost Case or DAN Case next
Always interested to hear suggestions - the DAN A4 is available in the UK however Louqe looks more obscure.
This new(?) 21:9 Screen design cuts off what’s really interesting. Sorry to say that.

People who like optical drives have been thoroughly shafted these last few years.
Nothing new maybe, but the front panel pull up solution instead of the old school rip off what every case uses a big deal on its own. Even the define 7 era uses that rip off thing and they are newer cases... another great thing with the bequiet is the unique hdd rack thing, its very good cuz this way u can just take out the whole hdd rack from the bottom, and u have plenty of space for psu cables, u just cant do this with another case this easy and seamless, and those extra hdd racks very good quality and more secure, not just plain thin metals like the fractal holders. I just say so clever things are present on this case (and overall in bequiet cases) they very underrated, i have a feelin that bequiet pays more attention of details than any other manufacturer in the market. Fractal doing good cases too, but i always have some complain with them opposite to bequiet. (like the new define 7 compact which has bad positioned crews in tha back, so u cant manage main cables so easy, and the front panel is an old school rip off method what is a big nono for me i just hate that to see in 2021...)
is the cpu air cooler not turned wrong?
No it's fine - the fan cannot go on the right hand side as it fouls the nearest module of memory so it is on the left in Pull rather than Push.
Have a look at the Alpenfohn Brocken 3 cooler on overclockers - it's offset so it can accommodate memory of any size but I'm not sure if it can handle heavily overclocked Intel CPUs. I like the cooler, it runs fairly quiet and was easy to install. Plus it provides a long magnetic screwdriver which was very useful for my build. All at a good price.
They should give the option of an all black case, that orange while fine, ruins any other combination anyone wqould like to make.
Every (?) be quiet! case is available in black or black with orange or silver.

damn, I thought it were 2 Silent Wings 3... Just saw the video 10 minutes ago while writing the comment... For this price it really should be come with some Silent Wings 3.

Isn't that cpu fan on the wrong side? Very unsusual, I have also been quite suprised by the heat in several of the review videos, like 80-95 celcius, thats not normal for most. I think most gamers would want to stay between 60-75, at prolonged stress test maybe lower 80s for gpu.

I hate everything about modern PC design. I guess the industry has no choice except to appeal to the few customers that they have left today though.
installing a cooler on processor is ridiculous.
You don't know how much heat these things produce? Without a cooler they would, at best, severely slow down to protect themselves, and at worse catch on fire.
