Hey this was a great video. Super well produced, best I've seen yet! Thanks for all the information and the fun game (especially for a fellow Hearthkyn player...)
@16:50 How is the sarge able to charge if he is in Conceal? "An operative cannot perform this action if it has the Conceal order or if it is within Engagement Range of enemy operatives" Even if you used guerilla warfare for 1AP you would not have been able to use Stealth Assault after right? Plus you can't use Stealth Assault while in engagement range you needed to declare that before the charge action. So if I understand this correctly you could use Stealth Assault(1CP), then Guerilla Warfare(1AP), then Charge(1AP). That puts you in but 1 AP left to Fight not two? I've played 6 games of KT using Intercession and was looking to explore Phobos. I may not have the rules interpreted correctly but that was kind of lame and sullied the rest of the report for me
Let me clarify what happens here, the sergeant charges both models at the beginning of his activation (we didn't flip the order from conceal to engage since he died before we could put a different one down, but he definitely was engaged to perform the charge), in our actual gameplay stealth assault was declared for the fight and in the video you are seeing the result of the sergeant hitting with two successful hits immediately. So it's a switch to engage, charge, fight with stealth assault, fight again, die. Hope that clears it up! -Brett
Stealth assault is declared on a model that starts its activation in a conceal order (as the sergeant has done) and then he is switched to engage to perform the charge action. -Brett
@Six-SidedLegion but even if that is true, as I was not there off camera, your sarge doesn't have the AP nor the ability to fight more than once? I've read this all over several times and discussed it with the other local players. I do not believe you have done this interaction correctly and your replies have eluded to this as well
So the strategic ploy shock assault was used this turning point meaning each model can fight twice. If you check the beginning of that turning point you can hear Ethan explain that part during the strategic phase. I also now realize you mentioned guerilla warfare, and that's not being used here at all. The only actions being done are loot (for free with vanguard), charge and fight twice. Hope this helps! -Brett
Those were purchased from Epic Basing. I believe it was two different packs of plants. They have a lot of different options you can order or STLs you can buy and print yourself! - Brett
I think I would have gone full shooty vs the dwarves. Yeah, reivers eat them in melee but then they die. Bolters can shoot and hide, get healed, shoot some more next turn.
Could played phobos better, took double minelayer, marksman, vet, reiver leader n warrior, give the reivers gravshutes n nades move em up pop smoke n shoot thro smoke n plant mines while there's cover
I have played Kill Team for a little bit. And I have both of these ! Love the paint jobs!
This is perfect timing for my momentary Raptor fascination!

Just getting into warhammer, and starting with the hearthkyn as first army. This video helps a lot to understand strategy. Thanks SSL!
Love the narrative intro
hmm, I can see some big Mountainside TT inspiration here

@Six-SidedLegion no that still doesn't add up. You started in engage? How did he use stealth assault then ?

Where did you get the plants on the Phobos models?
