I think my greatest entertainment wish would be for Overlord and Log Horizon to be taken on by this studio. They really are raising the bar for anime quality.
So just a few fun facts/other things, the duel Eris has as they leave the Doldia tribe is anime only but it's a nice touch. Geese wasn't locked up after helping save the village, but for some reason he was in the anime, he actually becomes drinking buddies with the Chief and Rujered during their stay there which is why Rujered is completely fine with Geese tagging along. 35:39 The bartender was almost replaced with Geese in the anime because the studio didn't want to make another unique design, but the author of the LN INSISTED the line had to be delivered by an unrelated third party, and it makes the line so impactful. 38:29 Unrelated to the point you are making, and don't quote me on this, because I'm only up to LN 4 which where they are is in LN 5, Rujerid gets challenged like this about halfway through their journey on the Demon Continent, for some reason they seem to have moved it to this point, I imagine because it flows nicer with the idea of saving the Superd's reputation. 50:26 Aisha is actually very intelligent and mature, she's much more like what Rudy would have been like if he behaved like a "normal" child and the anime tries to portray it(especially with how she speaks), but it's kinda hard unless you know Japanese. 55:27 The anime doesn't portray this particularly well, but when Orsted grabbed Rudy's chest and Rudy started coughing up blood, Orsted didn't crush his internal organs or anything like that, he just scorched Rudy's lungs so he literally can't inhale on his own, so he's not able to do anything other than wheese. So when he casts that wind spell in front of his mouth, he's actually shoving oxygen down his throat in order to keep himself alive, very painful, but it works. Rudy also cannot use healing magic chantless because chantless casting relies on the feeling of using the magic and having some sort of scientific understanding/proven reasoning for how a spell works, like water is condensing water out of the air, fire I'd assume is literally burning mana and oxygen, Rudy doesn't have an in-depth understanding of how healing magic works(or healing wounds in general), if he had medical training he would probably be able to do it chantless. Finally about that fireball, he's envisioning a nuclear bomb in that scene, that's how much power he's putting into that. 1:00:00 I don't know if this is in the LN I only read the manga for this scene so far, but before the next one happens Rudy is invited to a retainer meeting and made a retainer(one of the 3 remaining counting him) for the Boreas family, and Ghislaine is quite adamant about Eris just running off with Rudy and being happy rather than any other option she has. 1:02:22 Sidenote unrelated to yours, the song is very obviously a new drearier rendition of the Traveler's Song AKA OP 1, called Traveler's Song - Homecoming, which that subtitle makes it even MORE depressing and fitting than it already is to begin with seeing what happened to the beautiful land we saw in the first cour. 1:06:37 COMPLETELY RANDOM FUN FACT, This sequence I believe is taken from the extra chapter at the end of the first LN, and it's just a short story about basically what you see here, but Zenith does tease Rudy quite a bit more and tells him how happy she is he was born.
I started reading the light novel after the season ended and i must say i dont regret it. It is sooooooooo hype to have more storys revolving rudi and friends to read and the plot points are so genius. I really cant wait for season 2,3 4, 5 i dont care how many but pls do em all
One thing I think you missed during the fight with the Dragon God that made Rudeus' actions stand out even more: he literally used magic to force air into his crushed lungs in order to stay conscious long enough to fire off that giant purple fireball. The attention to detail in this anime is so amazing.
Another attention to detail is in the fact that earlier in the story it was mentioned that the only magic rudeus can't cast incantationless was healing magic, hence why he had to force air into his lungs rather than healing them with healing magic.
There's backstory for the woman in bikini armour in LN. She and her sister were teleported somewhere and they were violated by group of bandits. She recovered from the incident after paul saved them but her sister didn't. So she wears that bikini armour to gather all the attention and keep it away from her sister who is still traumatised.
Yeah but sadly due to the medium and Paceing of the anime they can't show things like that. There are lots of things that are skipped that i think are Vital to the Future story, I hope these things Will be adressed later or in the form of a mini series The example of the bikini is not Vital btw but a really Nice detail to make the characters more real
@@dimitri0404 What vital things did they leave out? I read webnovel long time ago and don't remember, you can spoil but use spoiler warning for others.
@@Laszer271 spoiler warning on skipped ln(lightnovel),wn(webnovel) and Manga content + a bit of Future content -Eris meeting cliff when she goes goblin hunting -ziniths' familly in the port town of Milos continent. He sampled rice while travilling to the fittoa region. This is related to shirahoshi's influence. Rudeus' training in the beast King's Forest cause it shows how much his mana can do and shows him sort of learning to fly(more like a jump). He used this ability when escaping with his sister. -the dog in beastking Forest. He kept escaping and going to rudeus. @@dimitri0404 Makes sense, thanks. The last of your points could still be shown in the future as it was in the lightnovel slightly after the anime ended if I remember correctly. Some of the rest could be shown in retrospect too.
during the Orsted fight, i just love how they really demonstrated that the magic in Mushoku Tensei is rooted in science. Rudeus, being someone with modern knowledge, clearly implemented those knowledge a lot better than people of that age. How he sharpened the stone bullet to a point, spin it real fast before shooting it off to achieve maximum damage. Then the fire ball changing color as Rudy made it hotter and hotter. If this were another typical fantasy anime, it'd have just been bigger rock, bigger fire ball, and different fire color for the sake of being cool with no substance to it. p/s: also in ep. 21, during the training fight, Eris' smirk as she avoided Ruijerd's spear deserves a win. It's only showed for a split second, but holy hell it's so Eris, so in character, i love that the animators did that. 2nd p/s: episode 23, other than the last metaphor, there are a bunch of metaphors and imagery at the beginning as well, done so tastefully
Agreed, I just find it annoying how some of the modern isekai fans trash Mushoku Tensei saying "it's iNfErIoR to other isekai out there" and then turn around to say "SAO is a masterpiece". Like damn even we know Mushoku isn't the first isekai ever written but you can't take away the fact that it was a major pioneer to the genre and wished more people would put more respect when watching the show today, because if it had failed then who knows how relevant isekai would have been today, so please be a little appreciative, folks! 😤
@@martinthomas2520 Bruh that’s like the most minority opinion I’ve ever heard The general consensus of modern isekai fans is that this show is a fucking masterpiece
i do like making simple things bigger, what i really dislike are some nonsensical powers like black lightning or a rainbow strike or dark matter bullshit, that cant be explained and is just there to be cool. atleast making something bigger is realistc and is stronger than a smaller version (in some cases atleast)
@@jdoggivjc if we count Cour 1 than yea 86 is really good but if we factor the whole season (Cour 1+2) than I would say that mushoku tensei has a better debut but again both show are great and should not be judge
1 hour and 8 minutes? Just saws how good Musoku Tensei is (And just for the second half) Also, 450 wins divided by 23 episodes, that gives us about 20 wins per episode...20 WINS PER EPISODE!?!?!?
Seriously it's Incredible. I have only seen a few episodes of Mieruko-chan but I seriously can't see that comparing to this as far as best Anime of the Year(it beat MT on some big poll site) except maybe because of some people hating this. Yeah it's got uncomfortable stuff but that's 2 minutes of 23 episodes and it's SOO damn good. I wish more people would realize the show is more than 2% of it's content
@@addidaswguy Only cuz people's hate on Rudeus... Honestly he's one of my fav protagonist currently. Mieruko-chan won Only cuz she's "waifu" and doesn't touch "complicated" subjects. It takes no chances, is a comfy anime.
yeah. Watching a show about pedophilia makes me emotional as well. usual rage or wanting to throw up though not those happy emotions people get when they decide they don't want to have moral standards anymore.
I actually cried because his trauma and the emotional overcoming and how real it was. If you've ever been beaten down, just wanting to fade away or end it all but then remember the one little bit that lets you walk away and move on and over, that final episode captured it.
Nobody goes into a fantasy land to fuck children and be happy of it. It's not a good story and there is nothing realistic and mature about it. It's just edgy teen drama without the maturity. The focus on sex is stupid, and there is more on the rest of the story, it doesn't get better....
Isn't there actually 4 languages in Rudeus world? I think it was mentioned in one of the episode where he were in the library with Eris's dad, after he knows that there are 4 languages.
30:56 He actually threw up because of his PTSD of being bullied in his past life. Imagine going through that then hearing his sister call him a 'bully' for what he did to Paul, marking him as the same as those people who pushed him around for who he is.
Its crazy how they managed to give us so much story in such a short time without making it seem rushed while also keep giving us character developments and awesome scenery shots
Personally one of my new favorites as well. The brutally honest depiction of depression and anxiety, and how hard it is to overcome them is simply incredible. As much as you're an "ANIME" channel, I'd like to love to see your reactions to Castlevania or Arcane. Castlevania is definitely an anime in all definitions except it's made in the USA, whereas Arcane is an animated show that very clearly wears its anime inspirations on its proverbial sleeves Keep up the great work! Cheers mate
Enjoyable all the way through to the end, as always. It's been a joy re-living this beautiful anime alongside your commentary. I hope we will meet again for another season of Mushoku Tensei. Peace!
This anime and review are so good, I HAD to leave a second comment just to show my appreciation. Also, I really hope to see Rudeus and Sylphy meet again ( she seems to be in some kind of Academy? maybe Ranoa that Rudeus wanted to go to and the reason for taking the job of teaching Eris ) it would all fit in too good man
I have to say after a friend convinced me to finally pick this show up and watch it it made me feel things I havent felt since I watched Re:zero. I have a nasty habbit of watching shows about characters who overcome themselves and the world around them because in a lot of ways I see these characters in myself. I guess it's a form of confort food in a way. I myself have recently come out of a period of hardship the past year and still recovering but shows like these are wat help me make it through and help me push myself through. I cant even begin to put int words how awesome these shows are in the fact that the carry the message that you as a person are stong and can make it through. I really cant wait for the next season if we even get one and same goes for Re:Zero.
as a novel reader, there is one thing that i can spoil and its not a spoiler at the same time, Mushoku Tensei never stops developing its characters, it has struggles and happy moments too but it never stops making its characters develop and come forward, if anything, i really suggest you to check some interviews with the author, they shed some extra light in his own intentions when writting the series and its simply incredible the humbledness and how grounded the author is, also notes how kind of a person he can be
You should overcome things in real life instead of being inspired by the work of a pedophile. This story is designed around the power fantasy of the writer which makes it ridiculous. If you're young, then it's a phase but you will look at it thinking what the fuck I watched.
In response to where Lilia and Aisha were teleported, the light novel additionally explains that there were a number of victims that died as a result of where they were teleported to. Some were embedded in rock, some among the clouds and fell to their death, some probably deeper than Lilia underwater and drowned, some in monster nests, some taken advantage of and put into slavery. And even as of light novel #22 (Season 1 ends at #6), we have no idea what the true cause and full effect of the Displacement Incident was.
This anime hands-down has the most gorgeous and diverse sceneries I have ever seen. I adore how much credit you gave for every scenes, it makes me so delighted to see that much appreciation to deserving artists and animators.
@@Sky_Liang0104_..__.. The main purpose of the show is about the pedo fantasy and the designs reflect that well. You can see the loli demon if you haven't see it yet. There is way too much focus on sex to be taken seriously. But I agree the studio did good work with what they have. The animation studio also made the genderbend anime with a lot of very loli designs. Looks like they have a theme.
If there's one thing I really appreciated is how the anime handled revealing Rudeus' backstory. In the LN, they dropped Rudeus' entire backstory in chapter 1, so you had context for everything Rudeus was thinking from the very beginning. However, I really liked how the anime didn't do that - they slowly reveal things throughout season 1 (both halves) as it becomes relevant to what he's currently facing in his new world, so much so that you didn't get the full picture of everything until the final episode of the season, where you realize just how horrible his previous life had been, not to mention just how brutal his death was. I was (for the most part) anime only on Mushoku Tensei until the final episode, so all of this really came as a surprise to me.
Ngl the 2 final episodes i cried my soul out. It's been a while since an anime touched me like that. Starting from the goodbye of Ruijard, it was sad but also wholesome, it didn't break me but it put a lump in throat that it was hard to swallow. Then when Eris abandoned him after that "beautiful" scene, honestly in my anger i called her a bitch(although when i heard her explaination i was kinda relieved) and when Rudeus cried for the first time in the anime i could almost feel his saddnes myself. But what really broke me was that what brought him back from that dark place he was in was the incondicional love of his mother. *And i almost cried again watching the video thanks to your commentary*
42:20 The LN reveal at the moment that man-god used Rudeus' eye of foresight to show him the scene with Aisha. He got sick because he saw so far ahead in the future. Rudeus also wondered if man-god told him to go see Kishirika Kishirisu in the port town and get the eye just so he could show him that scene.
y'know during 46:00 i was thinking "wow i can clearly listen to the explosion, what a great volume quality" but it was also a plane passing close by my house LMFAO
32:42 - That's only Millis continent on the map. The world map is much bigger, and I wish they shown that too. 32:48 - I only got this from a rewatch, but you can zoom in on a particular scene in episode 6 and you will know who Geese is and why Paul knows him. 58:06 - The patch on the hole of Rudi's robe from where Orsted put a hole on his body deserves a win too. That's attention to detail by the animators and a lot of animes tend to just forget.
OK, hold the phone, I just noticed this thanks to Anime Wins. When the old man gets his head cut off... you can see it roll into view in the window on the right. Start right at the 20:00 point.
I just got done watching the entire season for a second time. I have not ever rewatched an entire show before other than maybe FMA: Brotherhood. but this show is something special and i truly find myself tearing up at quite a few points. But honestly this is my favorite show of all time! And this video was amazingly well made and a complete joy to watch!
Your attention to detail in what you notice is great makes every bit of time spent watching this worth it. Especially with an anime with so much detail you’d miss it without someone like you to point it out. Thank you for this quality content.
A whole hour of just beautiful reactions from you and amazing narration, if someone were to ask what youtube creator i favor over everyone i would have to say you. Mainly for all the efford and love you put into these videos
Honestly, when Ruijerd left and Eris left right after, I felt the same as Rudeus, I don't know what kind of dark magic they used to make me so attached in just 23 episodes, but damn do I crave more of this
Oh my lord, i was litterally rewatching both jujutsu kaisen and shield hero episodes, because I absolutely love your reactions and commentary on them. And boom! Got dropped this gem, when I saw I started giggling like a school girl and rolling in bed. Best new year start !
Time out, at win 348 @37:45 I'd like to add that if not for geese rudy would not have met paul in milis. Geese deliberately followed their trail and got caught by the Doldia willingly and guided them. The wink confirmed this as after their reunion geese set off "to a place where the search party has never been to". And paul's immense gratitude and newfound vigor.
this isn’t going to be a long comment but you did a great job describing the parts of the show that shine the most along with showing us the impactful scenes that made this season so amazing. thank you for the video and the tears
Great video, as always! Really appreciate the effort these must take! Regarding the win at 25:25 re: difficulty animating horses, that's actually a fairly significant plot point for much of an episode in Shirobako towards the end of its first cour (if you are not aware of it, it is basically an anime about making anime, and it is really good - PS: if you do check it out, whether for a video or in your own time, highly recommend the OVAs too, which are the pilot episodes of the anime series' that the featured production team make). Also, re: 1:01:38 about the hair cutting, from what I understand, it is a big symbolic thing (especially in East Asian cultures/media for girls/women, but the "Important Haircut" tv tropes page suggests it is more widespread than just that) to cut one's hair short just before heading off on a big character-related personal journey of some kind. I think it is supposed to symbolise letting go of past attachments, at least until returning from the journey, or something like that. The most notable example I can think of in animation is probably in Mulan (1998) (haven't seen the remake, so unsure if it is there too). re: 1:04:35 - I KNOW RIGHT!? LIKE, WHY NOT SAY THAT IN THE LETTER!? (I know it's because Eris and tsun-tsun and awkward with expressing feelings, but dammit! TT_TT )
Regarding Erys' letter, let's not forget that Erys is basically still an elementary student and she hasn't been using written language since the disaster which is probably more than 2 years. I'm honestly impressed she managed to write that much.
about cutting the hair, it also represents new beginnings, growing your hair takes long time and all, so cutting it short symbolizes a change and a new start, which is applicable to Eris setting out for herself, as she's been overly reliant on Rudeus and Ruijerd protection and now had the strongest eye opener she could ever had in both them getting bodied by orsted without doing a single scratch outside of rudy, and her realization of how small rudy is compared to her and yet the difference of burden both have, as rudy was the pillar of their group
I've recently discovered your channel through your Bocchi the Rock video and I have so say your content has and continues to be a delight to watch, especially since you seem to have a good understanding of the medium, storytelling, pacing, animation and the like. I was compelled to comment here as Jobless Reincarnation is one of my favorite series to date for many of the reasons you yourself have stated in the video as well as some of my own personal past trauma and anxieties being reflected in the story and how well it's handled. The pacing, story, character development and animation but to name a few aspects are what sets this series above others and it's great to see others recognize this. Also, no matter how many times I re-watch this series I can't not cry during many of the emotional scenes. Thank you for the content and I wish you well in the future. Regards ChaosWulff
This anime is probably on my top three, ever. N i have been watching for A WHILE. The characters, every character, seem so human. They all got their faults, they all got their issues, traumas, which theyve all had to overcome. Im terribly sorry man, but you cant take this animes hand in marriage, as ive already proposed. Love it.
Rescuing Zenith about to be one of the toughest things for Rudeus....ever, the fact she got there by the teleporting incident....yeah he better get his training arc started now
Not true. Grooming and fucking kids is not realistic. At the end he get to marrying 3 of the kids he fucked. Let's face it, it's not a story around redemption but about power fantasy.
I love this anime. I had so much fun living through it and I hope that it gets the recognition it rightfully deserves. Amazing video and I loved the reactions. It was like we were the same person feeling the same thing
I ADORE watching these videos because they allow me a second perspective on a show I already enjoy, but it gives me a quicker way of “rewatching” the show, without the time commitment of a full series. Keep up the AMAZING work, you’re fantastic!
32:45 the map in the back ground rather is for one of the many continents in this world 55:20 although it wasn't mentioned in the anime the lightnovel stated that rudy had poured in all the remaining magic he had into a basic fireball with the image of a nuke, this is possible because of rudy's ability to use magic without incantations; Normally people automate their magic output by using incantations however what rudy does is he makes up a script on the fly leading to him being able to pump in as much mana as he is able to into a single spell, this also lets him get better control of the spells enabling him to make the figures we have seen P.S. season 2 has already been announced
I absolutely love Mushoku Tensei and really loved the first half of the season that you made a Everything GREAT About, thanks for the great content and can't wait to see what you make for 2022!
I keep it short: Inspiration is rising, desires overwhelming, Feels of astonishment, splendid, gorgeous, unmatchable - I'd like to say that the style you are writing is superb. Actually all those words are discribing not just my appreciation of such a detailed analysis, but even to the series as well))) Remember the words "even an adult get ticklish if you mention magic" from the first episode? Well I am not sure how to make it, but I'd like to make a game similar to the style of this series *thats how much of a limit breaker this all is!!!*
Philemon notos greyrat is the same head of the family mentioned back during the Rudeus birthday episode who won the power dispute between Eris's father and took her brothers, nice detail I didn't originally notice.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the different shades on the trees, 24:50 from the rain/flooding for the past 3 months. Its a small detail that most people wouldn't catch or think to include.
God damn you, this season made me cry so much and now this video is making me remember the scenes and cry again, how dare you make me feel emotions, take my like and leave
Hands down one of the best or even the best isekai Anime I ever watch, Love your videos. Nice way to recap what happend, so I probably rewatch this video when the next season comes out.
20:39 i just wanna point out, the way tersena introduced herself is exactly how a beginner in japanese would say: my name is "something something". And i like that detail. watashi no namae wa tersena desu = My name is tersena o namae wa tersena desu = My name is tersena I could be wrong because i´m also still new in japanese but I would say, that the bottom sentence is more native-like
Thanks for your hard work on these videos. Mushoku Tensei will always be one of my favorite stories and you really helped squeeze out a few more drops of appreciation for it. Thanks especially for gushing so hard about the landscapes and city shots, I was definitely taking them for granted.
I ABSOLUTLY ADORE all your content i watch every episode with great joy ani even tear up with sad scenes again with the amount of sadness you show while narrating LOVE IT
I absolutley love these videos. Jobless rencarnation is my 3rd favorite anime of all time! I'm glad you're enjoying it so much!!!!! Keep up the awesome video quality. Your animation team must be putting some long hours in :)
@@AnimeWins Yep, I know it's all you. And the fact that these videos have such high quality really speaks volumes on how dedicated you are to this. Keep it up man.
Great video, thank you for sharing it with us. I totally agree with your insight. I think it has already been said a lot of times, but I recomend all who see this to read the WN and/or the LN. They are on another level and will greatly improve the whole experience.
I had the first video suggested and just thought I check if the video for part 2 is up... and there it is, posted just 40 minutes ago! What an amazing way to start the new year, Mushoku became one of my favourit shows so this video is gonna be a real treat.
What I found extremely interesting any never considered is that people that get teleported at seemingly random, is why did anyone think they would just get teleported with their feet on land? Lilia and Aisha got teleported to the bottom of a lake, what if people got teleported to the middle or bottom of the ocean? What if people got teleported into midair? Hell even possibly out of the stratosphere maybe even further. I absolutely love the writing in this series, this is top 3 fiction worldbuilding.
If you been paying attention to Eris the whole time, you know she sucks at communication, the letter is 100% how she is at trying to convey her feelings about anything, Rudy being shocked is understanding, in that they had a night of intimacy, then he's shocked to realize she just left him after that, was a huge blow to his processing of her message, after so much time he knows shes bad at comminication, bbut he didnt think that way, he read it as you would read any message. It's all just a misunderstanding on both of them, cant wait for S2 to be animated As a veteran of the series
There's a slight mistranslation in the note Eris leaves for him at the end. They translated it as "we're not well matched right now", but in the LN its translated as "we're not well balanced right now" which makes a lot more sense in the next episode when you realize she left to get stronger on her own to be more "worthy" of being with him and being able to protect him as well as he protects her.
One of the best surprises in the recent years. Loved the anime and once again loved rewatching it through your video. Keep up the awesome job and I hope season 2 comes fast
Good Job! loved watching this. These were my first ever videos of "anime wins". I didn't know these existed and I'm very happy to have stumbled upon them. I also learned a new English word; poignant. New English words are hard to come by, at my English level that is. So good job on that front too. Always a pleasure to listen to well written and rich language.
47:13 for anyone who was wondering what was happening here, first off watch the show, but if you can't, basically the glasses guy was infatuated with the Roxy statue Rudeus made and it was his prized possession, he said that he found a "bump" under her arm and sanded it down as an imperfection. Rudeus then explains that it was no mere bump but was actually a nip slip where the statue shows her naked but being embarrassed and covering herself up but in her hastfulness to cover herself, she doesn't quite cover her nipple
One thing Im surprised wasnt mentioned was at 34:25. I know you already mentioned Eris's reaction to seeing Rudeus so sad, but in this scene it was amazing seeing how quickly Eris caught on to the change in Rudeus, and immediately connected it to the new voice in the room and immediately got pissed off and confronted Paul. It genuinely hits me how nice that scene was.
i dont comment on videos all that often but watching this and the first one made me feel like ive watched the anime again. cant forget the awesome commentary.
Season 2 and 3 are in production, they made a whole studio just for 1 anime, it's getting the royalty treatment. If they do adapt everything it'll be 7-8 seasons :)
Paul is possibly my favorite dad in all of fiction. He didn't take his early life seriously, he makes mistakes and gives into temptation, he struggles with how to raise his son and he is prone to alcoholism and depression. Yet despite his flaws, he's willing to consider when he's in the wrong and tries to make amends for his mistakes. The man would literally give his life for his family. I haven't seen a more realistic or relatable parent in all of anime
Oh my god, I am so sad I can't watch Jobless reincarnation right now. This was an amazing video and I know there will be more amazing content to come so I am looking forward to it. The level of detail you put into your videos is also amazing.
Thing is... we're still covering child Rudeus. The novels cover his entire life, from birth to his death. We're still at volume 6 of a 25 volume series, at only 2 turning points. So, there's a lot to look forward to
Well done, you found most all the details I saw and some I had missed. Honestly, I don't think it's possible to catch them all nor enough time in the world to explain them all. This anime is a modern work of pinnacle art even when it's dealing with some tough subjects. Well worth watching an hour and 10 minutes to remind me of all the wins.
This is one of those shows that really reminds me of why i love fantasy so much, so much depth to the characters, lore, world etc its unreal, great video as always POG
I just watched this half anime for the first time and noticed smt. The OP that plays when he arrives at his destroyed hometown, is the same OP that played when he grew up there in a minor key. The music design of this anime is incredible!
rudy after being alone and hurt because everybody leave him Rudy: today i have lost more than you could know... Loving Mother Zenith: I love you Rudy: ...but now is no time to mourn. Now, is no time at all.
Great work! Absolutely loved your commentary on this series, it's so good and I'm glad there's others who share that opinion, considering how misunderstood Rudy is by some people, he's not meant to be likeable at first and this story shows his growth and I absolutely adore his redemption, similar to Shield Hero going from truly the bottom, striving to be a better person day by day! Such a wonderful series, I'm so excited for the OVA and hopefully a 2nd season! 7-12 of the LN volumes are absolutely fantastic and we desperately need to get there with the anime!
love your content, alot of things you say i thought the same way. thanks for this episode and all the other contect you make. you make my new year ! THANKS
If the next season gonna have 2 parts aswell me(novel reader who hates reading in general) im gonna fucking cry for 2 reasons. That fight is gonna be too amazing and the outcome is gonna crush everyones expectations.. just from kisirikas vision it is so well made. Fuck even the last 2 episodes were making me barely control myself and omfg that anime original reunion with aisha
Also please if you wanna read more about mushoku tensei please stay away from the manga and actually start with the *Ligh novel* instead of the web version. It actually explains things better also gives perspective points of other characters in more detail... Ahhh wish i can live until the whole anime finishes
@@minecrafterIVI I agree the only time I use the manga is for a review and to look at some of the art. Ironically the manga is how I found out about the story but it's best to just read the LN for the best story experience.
thank u very much, it's a pleasure to recieve such a good video like this in the first day of our very start of the year! Oh and Mushoku is lovely and welldone anime, top 5 animes i love, for sure!
The source material really went more in depth as to why Eris chose to go that way. It's sad that there wasn't a way to properly convey it due to time constraints. They chose to emphasise on other elements, but I can't fault them for it.
0:40 I am quite bad at assessing the reasons why I like/love an anime/series, so I like that this channel exists as it brought/brings explanations for why I like/love a series also your take/point of view is great and it tends to make me want to (re)watch the anime (which kinda makes my anime-backlog that I want to watch (again) just longer and longer :P) so it kinda sucks that those numbers are being tied to your sense of self worth as they really shouldn't be, but sadly changing that is harder done than said
I love the way you dealt with ep 22. Many people try to bring down a story just because they don't like certain things that happen. They never realize that alot of effort is put into the story, and stuff like that is thought about in advance.
This second season has made feet more emotions deeper than I ever thought was possible. Absolutely incredible. It is honestly rare that a show like this -- especially an isekai -- can make me feel this type a way and teach valuable lessons that I will always treasure.
In the last scene where he picks himself up and decides to go, his inner voice changed from his old self before he was reincarnated to the voice of rudeus.
During the 10th birthday, after Rudy went too far with Eris, this happens again. Inner "I know what women want, I've played dating sims-" Rudy "this is why you died a virgin..." It doesn't come out and say it, but it's a huge contrast highlighting just how far Rudy has grown compared to his Japan self.
@@burny7216 yeah it's also a reminder of who he is and that he wants and did fuck children... More than that it's not a good story. The protagonist can't be excusable and there is no maturity, only horny content for pedos and teenagers
These beautiful comments really make the effort worthwhile I swear.
amazing video!

One thing I think you missed during the fight with the Dragon God that made Rudeus' actions stand out even more: he literally used magic to force air into his crushed lungs in order to stay conscious long enough to fire off that giant purple fireball. The attention to detail in this anime is so amazing.
Not to mention to create his fireball he was thinking of a nuke...
@@thefrenchestfrenchman8355 by the way purple flame means the temperature is above 71000 degrees F
@@briankent And seeing the fireball change colours as it gets hotter was another nice touch
@@ArtiomSigma and if you watch closely, there is a scene that ice on the ceiling evaporates as the fireball getting hotter
This author is just too damn good at story writing. Really. We don't deserve it.
Yeah but sadly due to the medium and Paceing of the anime they can't show things like that. There are lots of things that are skipped that i think are Vital to the Future story, I hope these things Will be adressed later or in the form of a mini series
The example of the bikini is not Vital btw but a really Nice detail to make the characters more real
@@dimitri0404 What vital things did they leave out? I read webnovel long time ago and don't remember, you can spoil but use spoiler warning for others.

-Eris meeting cliff when she goes goblin hunting
-ziniths' familly in the port town of Milos continent. They allowed Ruijerd on a ship and it was our first introduction to her sister.
-the similarities from the food in this world with rudeus' world.
And the importance of the dog.

-it wasn't in the wn and I don't know if it was in the Manga but volume 7 of the lightnovel where he was An adventurer for sometime and received the title guagmire + Slayed a stray dragon.

Crazy how they made 2 languages up for this show. I guess that's what's possible when a show has a studio specifically made for it.
actually currently there are 3, the one people tend to miss is the human tongue, only shows at ep1 or 2 when rudy first born to that world
@@briankent oh, you're right. I forgot about that
And they will show another language layer on
Isn't there actually 4 languages in Rudeus world? I think it was mentioned in one of the episode where he were in the library with Eris's dad, after he knows that there are 4 languages.
@@dashie-nyan yes, but we are talking about how the studio made 3 different new languages for the cast to speak

Personally one of my new favorites as well. The brutally honest depiction of depression and anxiety, and how hard it is to overcome them is simply incredible.
As much as you're an "ANIME" channel, I'd like to love to see your reactions to Castlevania or Arcane.
Castlevania is definitely an anime in all definitions except it's made in the USA, whereas Arcane is an animated show that very clearly wears its anime inspirations on its proverbial sleeves

Really glad you enjoyed!
What can I say the author is a genius writer
@@AnimeWins also Idk if you are joking or not but your comment could be counted as a spoiler
I really cant wait for the next season if we even get one and same goes for Re:Zero.
as a novel reader, there is one thing that i can spoil and its not a spoiler at the same time, Mushoku Tensei never stops developing its characters, it has struggles and happy moments too but it never stops making its characters develop and come forward, if anything, i really suggest you to check some interviews with the author, they shed some extra light in his own intentions when writting the series and its simply incredible the humbledness and how grounded the author is, also notes how kind of a person he can be
The new season is confirmed for 2023
You should overcome things in real life instead of being inspired by the work of a pedophile.
Especially the lolies designs ama right
@@ggadams639 im not a fan of lolies so idk what you were trying to convey lol
Good for you, but it's not a good story. Good storytelling, but not a good story.
Truly a masterpiece, one that will go down as one of the best of all time.
Nobody will remember it outside of the anime community simply because it's way too stupid. The focus on sex is absurd and pedophilia is not respected.

55:20 although it wasn't mentioned in the anime the lightnovel stated that rudy had poured in all the remaining magic he had into a basic fireball with the image of a nuke, this is possible because of rudy's ability to use magic without incantations; Normally people automate their magic output by using incantations however what rudy does is he makes up a script on the fly leading to him being able to pump in as much mana as he is able to into a single spell, this also lets him get better control of the spells enabling him to make the figures we have seen

Very many thanks to you for making this huge video! Jobless Reincarnation is one of my top anime ever watched too
I had the first video suggested and just thought I check if the video for part 2 is up... and there it is, posted just 40 minutes ago!
A lot of people miss it, but Rudeus and Eric actually did get teleported into the sky. In ep. 9 Rujerd says they fell from the sky and he caught them.
I mean it could be translator fault and in the japanese ver is like that
One of the best surprises in the recent years.
What scares me is that the final episode felt way too much like a wrap-up. I really hope we get a continuation
Bruh there is like 19 vol left to adapted
You lived to see Evangelion 3.0+1.0, you can wait for Mushoku Tenseis next season.
Couldn’t agree with your opinions more! I’m glad you did this one and can’t wait for more!
Thing is... we're still covering child Rudeus. The novels cover his entire life, from birth to his death. We're still at volume 6 of a 25 volume series, at only 2 turning points. So, there's a lot to look forward to
too bad it turns shit
Thanks for the relaxing video in the new year
The scenes where he talks with god are funny when you know who their voices are in Gintama.
Thank you @animewins it’s gives me pleasure to know that someone genuinely loves this show as much as I do
Good shit, ive been waiting ages for this, thank you
Well done, you found most all the details I saw and some I had missed. Honestly, I don't think it's possible to catch them all nor enough time in the world to explain them all. This anime is a modern work of pinnacle art even when it's dealing with some tough subjects. Well worth watching an hour and 10 minutes to remind me of all the wins.
I've been looking forward to this, and by the looks of it (specifically the length) you agree that this is a very good second half, gotta love that
Perfectly encapsulates why I like this anime so much, great video!
This is one of those shows that really reminds me of why i love fantasy so much, so much depth to the characters, lore, world etc its unreal, great video as always POG
You cant just give me this greatness 1 hour video analysis at midnight I'm never gonna sleep early T_T great job Mr.Anime Wins person!
I just watched this half anime for the first time and noticed smt. The OP that plays when he arrives at his destroyed hometown, is the same OP that played when he grew up there in a minor key. The music design of this anime is incredible!
rudy after being alone and hurt because everybody leave him
Rudy: today i have lost more than you could know...
Loving Mother Zenith: I love you
Rudy: ...but now is no time to mourn. Now, is no time at all.
This show has some of the best world building i’ve ever seen in an anime. Watching it feels like I’m actually there.
it's quite good, especially compared to other isekais, but the other parts are not great. All the sex stuffs are proofs of the author true motives.
THANKS
Imagine just going on your casual life, then like 1 mile of grass falls on your town because of the mana calamity also teleporting the grass
It says a great deal about the quality of story telling that watching recaps can bring joy and tears.
I will say, Jobless is easily one of my favorites as well for all the reasons you covered in this awesome video. Keep upnthe great work brother!
thank u very much, it's a pleasure to recieve such a good video like this in the first day of our very start of the year!
Yeaaaaah, was so hoping you'd do this one but I never expected it this soon. Hope you get tons of views.
I usually don't watch long videos...
But man...
I have to make an exception for your's... ❤️
Keep up the good work!

I am quite bad at assessing the reasons why I like/love an anime/series, so I like that this channel exists as it brought/brings explanations for why I like/love a series
also your take/point of view is great and it tends to make me want to (re)watch the anime (which kinda makes my anime-backlog that I want to watch (again) just longer and longer :P)
so it kinda sucks that those numbers are being tied to your sense of self worth as they really shouldn't be, but sadly changing that is harder done than said
I love the way you dealt with ep 22. Many people try to bring down a story just because they don't like certain things that happen. They never realize that alot of effort is put into the story, and stuff like that is thought about in advance.
One thing I noticed was Eris' hairstyle was the same hairstyle when asking for favor lol probably because she was surrounded by beastkins
This second season has made feet more emotions deeper than I ever thought was possible. Absolutely incredible. It is honestly rare that a show like this -- especially an isekai -- can make me feel this type a way and teach valuable lessons that I will always treasure.
Amazing video man, really well put together and the amount of love you have for the show can be seen
In the last scene where he picks himself up and decides to go, his inner voice changed from his old self before he was reincarnated to the voice of rudeus.
During the 10th birthday, after Rudy went too far with Eris, this happens again.
Inner "I know what women want, I've played dating sims-"
Rudy "this is why you died a virgin..."
It doesn't come out and say it, but it's a huge contrast highlighting just how far Rudy has grown compared to his Japan self.
@@burny7216 yeah it's also a reminder of who he is and that he wants and did fuck children... More than that it's not a good story. The protagonist can't be excusable and there is no maturity, only horny content for pedos and teenagers
