This has quickly become one of my favorite songs of theirs. I'm so glad you're doing the older stuff. 👏🏼👏🏼 I'm the same way with lyrics. I usually don't look at them unless theres something that I can't make out that I feel like I'm missing.
I really love these first two EPS and the singles because they lay a lot of groundwork for the three albums that follow. There is a lot of symbolism and callbacks in the melodies and lyrics As vessel takes this emotional journey through the music. There are some things that I don't pick up until I've listened to the song for the 100th time and then realize that a particular phrase or chord Is actually a tie-in to a previous song that then helps wrap up part of the musical story All while adding new elements that will eventually hopefully maybe be resolved. Not everyone is going to be a super fan right out the gate if at all. As with all forms of art. Take what you need. Leave the rest and what speaks to you will speak to you.

Yea it’s to much a distraction for me 😭 and tbh most people don’t even care about you reading the lyrics they wanna see how it made you feel.
