You have (currently!) 15 likes on a comment that has left me baffled. Is it me, failing to grasp the concept that these 15 others not only understood, but gave you a nod of appreciation for? Or is it all 16 of you, asleep at the wheel? You do get that this is not SRV, right? Is this a grammatical issue, and what you meant was either "covers OF SRV songs" or "covers of songs BY SRV?" That's still misleading, because this wasn't his song. Lord you are good. I’m thinking of Stevie, Joe Walsh and Don Felder right now. Thank you for posting this. The Eagles are my favorite band ever. I saw them in New Orleans in 1994. I never got to see SRV. I think this is exactly how he would play it. I remember when he died. I was in the lobby of the law school I attended. I was the only one who knew who he was. The TV was on CNN back in the early 90s it was a trusted news source. I was dumbfounded that no one knew who he was. I said only one of the most talented guitarists ever.
I saw Stevie twice. First was in Salem MA at an outdoor show on a wet night. He was still doing the trio with “Whipper” and Tommy Shannon, 1984. He looked pretty trashed but played like a house afire. At one point he sat on the edge of the stage and began playing Little Wing and all those beautiful Hendrix-y chord things he did. He couldn’t get up. Two roadies came out, one on either side, picked him up while he was still playing, and placed him at his mic. He broke into Voodoo Child without missing a beat. The next time I saw him he’d sobered up and had Reese Wynans on keys. That was at the time In Step released. He was even better when sober-much better, in fact. What a tragedy, losing Stevie. He was an other worldly player and performer. RIP, SRV. We miss you.

Great job on this video guy
RIP SRV
Solid GOLD. Stevie is looking down and has a great big smile and that glint in his eye.
Epic…. Magnificent…. Blew me away with all of it… tone, style, feel… wow…. Thank you 👍👍
Love it, its blues night at the Hotel California
Totally agree 👍🏼
Close your eyes and you can visualize SRV playing this exactly... outstanding!
That includes the sweat and stank face….
Is no one going to recognize the outstanding timing talents of the drummer? The guy never misses!
Hahaha, that's what you get when they're programmed.
The drummer is simply a computer
@@LaszloBuring I caught that right away... your playing deserves a human drummer. Outstanding interpretation on this piece, sir.
It was sooo quiet in Texas that day. Stevie was the greatest.
Jaw meet floor. That would be Stevie approved!!!
Brilliant. Stunning. Authentic. This is an absolute masterpiece. If I didn't know this wasn't SRV, I wouldn't know this wasn't SRV, God rest his soul.
All I can say, is this guy brought me to tears. Brilliant!!
Absolutely brilliant performance!
I am currently living on this anchorage but my days are numbered. Watching this short just now, I almost cried. It's a way of life that at times can be extremely difficult and dangerous but nothing will ever compare to the freedoms I have experienced living on the water. I don't mean dock locked in a harbor. I am a half mile from shore. Good job Patrick. This anchorage is the last of its kind and they are taking it away.
Unbelievable...1 of my favorite songs, combined with a legendary guitarist. Sounds like it was meant to be. A perfect blend of styles. You nail it.
Amazing talent. Thank you
I would love to be sitting beside Don Felder as he watched this video for the first time. Great Job! The song is The Eagles, the Style is Stevie Ray, but the Talent is all YOU!
Yeah, Felder would LOVE this for sure. Henley would sue someone tho ;)
@@HocusPocus6969 In a heartbeat.
Fielder is a prick and said I own it,stay out of my world!
Thanks for keeping some piece of Stevie vibrant and new.
I walk past the spot I heard the news of August 27 1990, every day.
If I have to be at work on a slow, rainy Monday, I might as well be on UA-cam finding Glorious GEMS like this! Spectacular.
This performance will be a classic in the future.....
and the future is now.
the future was yesterday and tomorrow will be the past
His hands are amazing. Strumming and picking at the same time. Brilliant !
This needs to be on a album
AMEN!!!
It is ,TEXAS FLOOD .
This damn near made me cry! So freaking good. I miss SRV, he died when I was in Iraq. I never got to see him perform a concert.
Por dios !!!!! Que bella es la música congrats buddy. 🤯👏👏👏👏
I can hear Stevie Ray saying "That's pretty cool! Let me twist that lick a bit"! Awesome piece of work.
I could listen to that all day - If I could play like that I wouldn't need therapy
You can play like that. It just takes 20 years of 3+ hours practice.
And then you'll want therapy.
Just fantastic. Thanks for putting this up.
ahAhahaha🎉

A closely guarded secret for many decades, ladies and gentlemen, behold the Little Wing of Hotel California! Bravo sir! True genius.
whoever's playing bass on this also deserves some love . . .
Me! Hahah

That’s Double Trouble, so bassist was Tommy Shannon

Brother. Words don’t suffice. Brilliant.
Excellent work keeping The Master's spirit alive!
RIP ~ SRV
You manage Stevie's style and tone perfectly, not achieved by many
I MISS STEVE!!! An honor listening to Laszio. Thank you so much. God Bless!
One of the best guitar players EVER ! He gives my body the chills . Play on Stevie .
I was scrolling through UA-cam recommendations and was about to close this video and get to the next one, but then it caught me to the point I forgot what I was about to do. Thank you for the great music and for the inspiration. It’s well past midnight now and as much as I wish, I can’t play along on my harmonica, respecting my family sleeping
Freakin' amazing job! I get to hear my favorite songs as performed by my favorite guitarists. What a treat!!!
Supporting your efforts is more than worth 10c per day. Bravo brother Laszlo - jam on and keep 'em coming 🎸🎸🎸
Thanks for the support Jim!
I think your interpretation of SRV's style and how he would have covered this song is 100% accurate. It drips with Stevie. Exceptional talent that shows a mastery not only of guitar but of differing styles. Very very well done. Thank you.
Never heard hotel California by SRV,run cold chills down my back....RIP brother we miss you 👍☕️☕️✌️🚬
I have to add myself to the long list of grown-ass men in your comment section who are crying because YOU sir have somehow found SRV's mojo! You are amazing!
😲😢😲😢😲
Please don't stop playing
On repeat I don't! Just sayin'
I agree
I still remember exactly where I was and what car I was driving when I learned of his passing. I had to pull over and I just remember being numb. Im almost 60 years old and this brought back a lot of memories. Well done sir!
I remember too. I was on my Lunch hour in Rochester, New York. August 1990,
I remember too. I was in the Student Union Bulding at NMT shooting pool and listening to 94Rock. Had tickets to see him at the Paolo Soleri in Santa Fe in late September, about a month after he died. He was and still is in a 3 way tie for my favorite guitarist depending on my mood (SRV, David Gilmour, Mark Knoppfler)
Excellent job on this cover, really impressive.
Giant kudos for a great SRV interpretation of this song. I can almost see him shaking his head in approval.
Single take, I'll bet. For the amazing musicianship, the accuracy over the entire recording time is equally impressive! And, without equal. Wow.
The blues turn me on - upside down and all around - over and over again. This sounds so passionate…Oh,…My,…
I can't. The sound, notes, tone, feel... I close my eyes and see SRV just being SRV! Incredible.
I did not know my life was incomplete until I heard this. Thank you.
one of the premier muscians of the last 100 years SRV his influence is still entertaining us, still changing music!!!
Man that was amazing!!! Great creative mind to put that together and great skill to pull it off. If I would’ve heard that without knowing that it wasn’t Stevie Ray Vaughan I would’ve said wow Stevie Ray Vaughan did hotel California. Awesome.!!! great performance
Absolutely ass kickin' man. At 68 years old I have played this tune more times than I can count but never like this! Rock on brother!🎸👍
