DV here as well, hope you are well brother. I fell in love with cadillacs when I was a small boy and my Italian grandpa would drive me around to all his "pickups" around Buffalo and Rochester. Ik he was more than likely involved in a family style activity but he was the kindest person to his family and loved us all being at his house. He passed during covid and I wasn't allowed to go to his funeral. It killed me not being allowed to go. So once I got my CTS4 I put his obituary card with his picture in my front windshield facing out. Now my grandpa rides around in my tuned Caddy! He would have absolutely loved it in person, he never got to experience a caddy without a couch in the front that can handle and scoot! 😂 Semper fi brother and may you have peace in your mind and no pain in your body.
The 3M wheel works really well, definitely worth it for removing adhesives. I used one to remove the adhesive tape from a spoiler I had on my car and it came off real easy and didn't ruin the paint
I have a 2014 CTS 4 V 2.0T I've been wanting to do something with my badges and chrome trim. I found your channel and is giving me great ideas. I could use some of those new badges. Thanks for your dedication.

Any tips for separating the colored portion from the chrome? Not able to separate them using all of my strength, tried everything short of a screwdriver but worried about marking up the finish

Any tips for making the crests colored pieces more Jewel like, like blue topaz jewel, and shiny ruby red, and the shimmering gold.....I don't know what crafting type of trimmable jewel like plastic pieces/sheets, or does anyone make a jewel like vinyl, I just HATE how dull the stock colored plastic crest pieces are. The newer smaller front fender crests are very jewel like and made of metal w/enamel and they just POP......Thanks again!
@Crock72 did you end up figuring it out? Looking to do the same and I'm pressing as hard as possible on the colored sections with no luck, emblems started to bend and concerned about breaking
You may be able to carefully pry it off. If it’s like the CTS it is just clipped in. But there’s always risk of breaking tabs. I know it’s possible though. Safest way is pull the bumper.
Oh I’m sorry I didn’t look closely enough at which video this comment was on. Good idea for a little change on those emblems. But since they are one piece you may need to hand paint them?
Great video! I would never do this to my Cadillac because I'm chicken sh*t lol, but it's nice to see brave people customize there car. I'm taking mines to a professional shop
Just stumbled upon this video and thinking of doing this myself. I see that you painted the frame, but what did/how did you get the underlying emblems a different color? Did you use that from the official cadillac monochrome badge?
Still holding well with the 2k clear (make sure you watch Shadow Chrome 2) One emblem had a crack in the clear and a fingernail size piece chipped off for some reason but the other emblems are holding well
Not sure how the solvents would behave around the clear coat? I think alcohol is fine tho. Ive used a rubber wheel (Amazon) and had really good results. Heat gun from safe distance, fishing line and rubber wheel. Awesome video. Looking for this new super car of yours too.
Hey man I have a question, I have a Cadillac ATS V, my large Cadillac badge is on the grill of my ats v and not on my trunk. Will it come off the grill just like here? And also go back on the same way? I’m just worried because there is much less surface area. Thanks for you help!
Hey. Since your the only quality UA-camr that does Cadillac mods and has really good videos for Cadillacs do you think you could try to figure out or find a way to upgrade the onstar for vehicles that have a 2g network. I just bought a platinum edition 2013 Cadillac xts and one of the main reasons why I purchased it is because it was advertised as having remote start access from your phone but since it uses 2g and is on Verizon networks, Gm is making the brilliant move of disconnecting any vehicle from having remote access that is using the 2g network on December 28th this year (2022). I was beyond disappointed and frustrated because I live in Wisconsin where a remote start is essential. Please please please make a video about this I’m subscribed and have shared a lot of your videos on Cadillacs to a lot of my friends and it would mean the world to me if you could find a solution like you did for the cue system here. Thank you
Thank you Will. You will still have remote start from the key fob if that’s any consolation. Alpha Mods is working on a 3G retrofit. Not sure if they will be able to make it happen but if it does I’ll be sure to post about it on the channel.
Hey Daniel, any advice on removing the V badge/block on the side of the 2016-2019 CTS-V (the V badge that sits on top of the side fender vent)? I have some gloss black painted ones and I am wondering how hard it is to take the OEM badges off without wrecking something. Trim tool? Just pop out with force? Thank you in advance!
Owners manuals are free to access. Here’s a link to the CUE system. Page 58 is what you need. As for finding Bluetooth settings in your pixel it should be easy to find under the settings app or plenty of UA-cam videos showing how to get there on most android based phones. www.cadillac.com/bypass/pcf/gma-content-api/resources/sites/GMA/content/staging/MANUALS/4000/MA4289/en_US/7.0/19_CAD_Next_Gen_IM_en_US_U_23270627B_2018AUG28_2P.pdf

Hi Daniel...always love your informative videos. I just got the black badges with colored flag from Savage Cadillac, which look amazing. Is there an easy way to get the front grille badge off or do I need to disassemble things to get access to the back of the grille? I don't mind if I have to break the clips.
Push them through, pry at them. They are plastic welded at small points so its easy to break those points. If you have trouble, heat up the tip of a phillips screw driver and melt them.
You know I’ve never seen it done. However I can definitely imagine it getting done. Pull the color insert out and set up some lighting behind. Maybe use the adaptive cruise emblem. Not sure it has any light transparency but it might.
As always, you gave us an amazing, informative video. If you ever want to do a Sears Point video with another "Trifecta tuned" V-sport, let me know. I would love to pick your brain as well as share a bbq hamburburger while we wait...:)
Pull them off like I showed you in the video and do it! You can probably get away with ordering sample vinyl from metrorestyling.com. Pick the colors you want and apply. A wrap shop would probably do it for $50

Maybe some heat from a heat gun on the back. Or leave in the warm sun (I know winter is coming).

I got those Greyish/Silver ones on my XT5. I'm going to paint them to match the Emblem Colours on the Steering Wheel.
