I knew this was a good idea! Ive been telling my family we should do this to our deck instead of powerwashing and bleaching. Im glad i have this video to show them now
Was just told by a builder who really understands the nature of wood to spray down my cedar deck with Pool Shock and let it sit for 24 hours then hose it off & there will be no need to sand before applying new coat of stain. Gonna try it soon
@@susanhill3100 I cleaned my deck with a power washer a month ago and the wood looked like fur, I started sanding a few days ago and it's been a pain because the wood still looks like fur, but I noticed the higher the sanding number is the better in my case, 220 at least! Lucky my deck is small.
@@NemSeiPow Thank you so much... My deck was power washed years ago and was fine... Honestly, would just like a new one now... Not gonna happen anytime soon tho 😭 I hope you can get yours looking good...
I'm not sure if this is a fact but I was told by many people in the trade of sanding floors. And they said to never blow out the dust out of your drum sander but to always vacuum it out.

You should never powerwash a wooden terrace.

how was it budv
I’m a professional cleaner and that’s not my preferred method. Allot of people use it and it works, I use it from time to time too.
Can you use this kind of sander on uneven deck boards?
What grit was this?
Would power washing first help to make the sanding quicker/easier?
We do not recommend pressure washing as it can damage the fibres of the timber 👍🏻
@@QuicksandFlooringHmmm I did not know this🤷♀️... So, never power wash a deck?...

Middle part of the wood looks hard to get to…how’d u sand that out? I’m sure many of the boards have cupping
Where can I purchase those senders machine ? Ty
Just curious what masks or protection do you use for nose , ears and eyes
What happens when the sander hits a screw head or a nail head?
I was thinking a same ?🤔
It sands the protective galvanized coating off and now it will rust in the near future
Great vid! Was this cedar or pressure treated wood deck?
Schaut nur nach halber Arbeit aus das ist ja noch nicht fertig !
It's not worth the money or time ,deck stains don't last long ,not worth all the cost ,🧐🤔😳🥺🤭
Please wear a mask especially when working with airborne mould...
Just come do my floors and stop showing these videos
