Among the Sonic Villains, Zavok is the most worthy of respect. Even though he is pure evil, he fights like a true warrior.
After reading the IDW comics which take place after sonic forces, Zavok is now one of my favorite sonic villains.

Actually he’s not pure evil. He cares for his fellow Zeti deep down. And he does show some honor.
Seriously, he's design looks sick, but he's clearly being overshadowed by other characters.

Sonic Drake The Hedgehog The only comparison to bowser is the spiked bracelets and the horns, but Zavok resembles an oni or a demon a lot more than he does Bowser. Plus their personalities are completely different. Bowser is a good-hearted guy who wants Peach and isn’t the brightest. Zavok is a manipulative scheming villain who values his honor above all else and wishes to constantly improve himself in battle.

@@greenD7244 Sonic The Drake Hedgehog might have been referring to Zavok's battle at 3:39, which is a near copy of Bowser's boss battle from one of the New Super Mario Bros. The stage theme (lava), Zavok's fireballs, and Zavok jumping into the lava to become a giant version of himself reminded me of Bowser immediately. Idk if that's what they meant, but the comment isn't entirely wrong 🤷🏿
Out of all of the non-Eggman Sonic villains, Zavok is probably the only one with any real charisma. Sure, characters like Mephiles and Infinite are fun to watch, and Merlina wins sympathy points, but Zavok is the only one who respects his opponents, pursues other goals in his spare time (he joined the Olympics to improve his skills, not for any evil purposes), and is almost always in control. Plus, his voice and design are awesome, his theme is epic, and his boss fights are actually unique (Giant Bowser knockoff nonwithstanding) and challenging on your first try. I feel like if Sonic Lost World had better writing, Zavok would've been the best Sonic villain ever.

Metal sonic is the best villain. Unlike all the others he comes back.
He's basically Bowser cannon fodder. Everything about Infinite's and Mephiles's background and story are WAY more interesting.

Correction, Zavok is the non-Eggman Sonic villain with the most future POTENTIAL. Chaos was a FANTASTIC villain, but that is because the plot of that game was built around the tragedy of the character, and by the end of the game the conflict was solved so he is a one and done deal unless they force some bullshit and cheapen the appeal, same goes for the whole Gerald Robotnik thing with the colony ark that is already done with. They left so much room for the Zeti's to do shit in the future that I really hope they take advantage of.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I quite like Zavok, design and voice wise. Well maybe not design-wise, but its fine, because I never understand why people thinks his design is bad, he fits the world of Sonic, he looks like a villain you’d get from a franchise like Sonic, and since they’re going for a more light hearted and comedic route for the story he perfectly fits in, its just really weird whenever Sega insisted on treating him seriously, cause honestly, i cant
This is coming a year late, but how is it that you can’t take him seriously, if I may ask? Is it his “team”? Is it the similarities with Bowser? I personally think he’s got some real potential as a second recurring antagonist, one who isn’t inclined to work with Eggman (forget TSR, that made no sense). He’s an outlier of sorts. Not only should Eggman worry about Sonic and friends, but he’s also got Zavok who wants revenge against both him and Sonic. Zavok’s quite cunning too, and his magneto-kinetic and techno-pathic abilities render Eggman’s army of machines ineffective against him. What do you think?
Endemus He’s just not threatening, then again the same goes for Eggman, but its already unfortunate that Zavok was introduced in a lighthearted game

Honestly, other than Eggman, Metal and maybe even Eggman Nega, there aren't too much great villains in the Sonic games tbh. The Zetis aren't too special, but they're somewhat than most villains like say the eraser guy from Secret Rings. Tbh only villains I find even remotely interesting other than Eggman, Metal, Nega and the Zetis are Merlina, Chaos maybe, and Infinite (though Infinite feels more like a whiny brat than an actual threat with his attitude tbh)

I think this is the most underrated character
I really like the idea of riding on mechanical dragons and they look so great to me. The third time you fight him, he should use dragons instead of ripping off bowser. Who agrees with me.
The fights against Zetis are better on 3ds (except Zor who is dull in both).

Am I the only who thinks he looks like a Pokemon? Also, I don’t know why but there’s something about him that I like. I can feel a bit of a vague presence on him. The guy captured Tails, turned him into a cyborg, and almost caused mass genocide on the world. I feel this guy alone has much more potential.
