Surviving Australia's Bushfires & COVID-19 in Mount Beauty & Greater North East Victoria

What a start to 2020. We moved back to Australia expecting we would find jobs within a month, but then bushfires hit. Basing ourselves in Mount Beauty in the Kiewa Valley, we had to evacuate due to the fires twice. One of those times was to an army base near Wodonga. We thought a short trip into town would be harmless, but we almost didn't make it back due to a fast moving grassfire.
We eventually found some time to relax in the Ovens Valley before COVID-29 hit and everyone went into lockdown. Thankfully, being on the edge of the bush meant that we could still walk regularly to keep fit. Though it was a rough start to the year, we still managed to make the best of it.
