There will never ever, ever, ever be any duo like the Every Brothers again. My goodness how I love listening to their harmonies. I thank GOD for this devine gift from heaven.
I've been a musician for over 30 years, and my middle name is Everly.. my mom named me after the Everly Brothers and I've been a fan ever since!! these guys are second to none!
Your Mom had good taste and so do you. The Everlys were the best!! No one has ever come close to them. I love that your middle name is Everly - fantastic!!
I fell in love with them when I was only 11 yrs old...In my 70ties now. So grateful to have these wonderful gentlemen a part of my entire life. Pure talent..pure hearts.
What a great duo and my favorite band. They had their ups and downs but never quit their fans. We have lost both Phil and Don , never to be replaced. Sad sad day for rock and roll
There will never ever be any one to equal the fantastic Everly Brothers!!!!! I grew up listening to them and I still listen to them over and over again. They were not only fabulous singers, they were drop-dead handsome, too!
The Everly Brothers were without a doubt the best harmony duo ever. Their are two voices blended so well it was as if it were one voice. So very sad to lose Phil way too soon. I'm so glad I got to hear them live several times.
@@kamilhybiak807 Yes, students of. Imitators perhaps, but that's it. Totally different class of music. I agree with the original comment posted. In fact, I truly believe that Don Everly is possibly the best singer that popular music has ever seen. Phil was great too, and his harmonies could ONLY be his to compliment his brother. BUT I always look forward to Don's solo vocals in their best songs. His voice is sublime.
I remember in ‘58 when they got their first No 1 hit - Wake Up Little Susie!!! What great music my generation had to grow up in - Elvis & the Everly Bros.!!! Their music is timeless, even now 60+ yrs later!!! Love these guys!!! ❤️🤗🥰❤️
Have watched a bunch of their live recordings and this is among the best. Phil was very energetic and Don mixed in some lyrical interpretations that were new and fresh. Together they made magic.
I was 10yo when they stated back in the 50’s. Just bring back so many memories of the times back then, a simpler one. Now in my 70’s and still listening. RIP Everly Brothers!
You know, Albert Lee said they inspired his to become an artist after having seen them singing "Kentucky" at a show in Australia. He ended up playing with them, a real dream come true.
this song by paul McCartney is one of their very best..had it been recorded in the sixty's it would have been a number 1 mega hit for them...think of Alabama and the Gatling brothers .. both had great harmony's tailored after these 2 in creditably talented guys...
Memorable song I could’nt forget thru life I really love the song Let it be Me reminds of my loving hubby who is now resting in heaven.I love you Daddy.
These two guys were sure handsome although don still looked good and sounded good on a video I saw him perform, beautiful voices the harmonies were great, rip Phil you are deeply missed,
Thank you so much, EBI, for uploading this video especially because it includes one of my favorite songs, “On the Wings of a Nightingale.” I was very fortunate to see the Everly’s at two different venues during the time of their reunion concerts when Paul McCartney wrote this song for them. I am hoping a CD version of the EB’84 album will be rereleased as I only have a vinyl copy purchased at the time of those concerts. In addition to “On the Wings of a Nightingale,” there are so many other great songs included on the album such as, “You Make It Seem So Easy,” written by Don. Thank you for honoring Don and Phil Everly!
I saw them here in Johannesburg before the boycott of international performers stayed away from our shores. One of the best concerts I can remember as the top, besides Cliff & The Shadows in 63. Brilliant harmonies from these two.
When my husband Danny was still with us NB I took him to see Them in Birmingham. There will never be another set o singer's like them ever again. So sad that one part of the duet is no longer with us? I treasure the memories with every beat of my heart? Everlys you NB were the best and the hearts of rock and roll?
Maybe because it reminds me of my youth, but I have never heard two people sing like that again. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to one of their songs. So Sad, Temptation and Cathy's Clown are my favourites.
I watched them with my girlfriend perform in the mid 1970s. She said they reminded her of the Beatles, and I told her they had inspired a ton of groups included the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and others. She was younger than I so she didn't know.

Phil always seemed more animated than Don. Like he enjoyed performing a lot more.
Pity Don didn't go for the high notes in Wings tho as he had done that on another UK show around same time
