I love hydroponic gardening, great way to grow in your home. I was happy with my Aerogarden but decided to purchase and try this one.

I just bought this product and found your video SO helpful. Thank you for making this easy!
You're welcome, I hope it grows very well for you.
Love the idea of growing herbs and tomato starters inside and a head of schedule. Now to get one and keep my cat from eating them.
So far these cats dont touch any of them, I just cant keep the one from eating my spider plants all the time. The darn cat needs an intervention from her addiction.
I have one and love it
Still love mine, got a new bigger smart system I am getting ready to unbox though.
My liquids in solutions a & b are both clear, no blue tent 😞
It has been a while since I have done this video. They could have changed the tint of it, I use a hydroponic fertilizer from Maxigro for over 3 years in all my hydroponics and also in my water propagation stations.
Gonna give it a go but for some reason the sponges mine came with are pretty small compared to the basket. Hopefully that doesn’t affect the growth
They will expand a bit while they soak up water and it will work fine.
Do the plants grow into the sponge? How do you remove the plant from the sponge, and can the plants be transplanted elsewhere after they grow big enough?
It will grow throughout the sponge like soil, you cannot reuse that sponge. I just remove the sponge from the basket then plant that into the soil without removing the sponge. Then I insert new sponges to begin a new plant.
@Jakereviewsall thank you so much I put the sponge straight into the soil the plant is growing well outside!
@@kasidysegovia9079 Awesome, and yeah sometimes I use hydroponic farms to start plants then replant them. I have some garden stuff going in one right now to get planted outside next month. New sponges can be found pretty cheap.
Seems good value for money. Like the idea of the fan. It is a bit short though at 11.5". I see iDOO have another model with 24" light. Good review
thanks for watching, a week later most of the seeds have sprouted so far. Depending on the plants that 24" would be more ideal, this one I will just need to keep them a little shorter.
@@Jakereviewsall I see the 24" unit is not actually pumped. It is merely a Kratky unit.
i have same product, started to grow 6 strawberries plants 3 months ago..... it come out the flowers but not the fruit.....quite disappointed... my friend used an aerogarden and got the strawberries.... will try an aerogarden next time....
I have owned a lot of brands including Aerogarden which was the first one I used. They all grow pretty much the same, comes down to care, the seeds used and feeding it. It needs plant food far more often than a potted plant.
Idk if you know this but strawberries tend to NOT produce fruit the first year. :)
I saw from a previous comment you made you use MaxiGrow. Do you also use MaxiBloom? Wondering if I can use MaxiGrow throughout all stages when growing (eg. herbs/lettuce/cucumbers)
Yes, I have mentioned maxi grow in a couple of videos for sure including my most recent one a couple of days ago for a new farm. I use it and its been great for me for a couple of years and a bag last me forever. I never tried the bloom one myself, herbs it works great. I mostly only grow the vegetables outside and I dont use the maxi grow on the outdoor garden. I used it on my indoor potted plants as well mixing in bottles. I bet it would work great for all of it. Are you growing the cucumbers in a hydroponic?
Idoo's come with green stickers that you put on the pod after planing. Theres a small hole in the middle where the plant can shoot from. (I guess) Do I need to use them? I see you didn't. They go between the pod and cap. Thanks. Just played yesterday and need to see if the stickers help.
I couldn’t say if the stickers work better or not since I did not use them and everything grew fine and crazy.
Hi. Do you need the light turned on 24/7?
no, it has a timer
@@Jakereviewsallhey thanks for the reply! So how many hours a day do they need the light? Does it say in the manual?
@@Morethanamonday I do not remember the settings for the lights for this one but the manual did state it.
What fruits and veggies can it grow
I mostly grow herbs in these smaller ones but you can grow whatever would fit, dwarf tomatoes, strawberries etc but I would use a larger farm for that type of stuff.
You said you might use your own fertilizer. How do you make it?
Oh I did not mean I would make my own, I meant I use a different brand. The plant food I have been using now for a couple years is the MaxiGro from Gerneral Hydroponics.
Thanks for replying and clearing that up for me.
not sure why everyone expects these kits to include seeds, if i was to buy this from interstate they wouldn't even allow the seeds to come with it ( regardless of type of seed ) and the product might be held at customs office because of the seeds.
Some do expect it and some do indeed come with seeds such as the Aerogarden pods. I prefer it this way so I can choose my own.
Some models come with seeds
Great video !
Thanks for the visit
@@Jakereviewsall Just one question, do you turn your fan/water on germination stage?
Only 11 inchs high tho damn too bad
Do you have go check the water PH level?
I have never checked the PH level with any of my hydroponics. I add in tap water and use some plant food and that is all.
@@Jakereviewsall thanks for the reply
Did you end up getting tomatos ?
How noisy is it mate?
so so, you can hear the fan turn on, I know it does not bother me but I run fans 24/7. The only other noise would be hearing water drips when the pump is running but it's not loud.
Sort of like a computer case fan

One commen: Instructions specify "purified" water for bottles A&B.
a lot of times instructions specify a lot of things..... I have never used purified water with any of my farms or foods.
Not much of a review without at least growing something.
because this was the unboxing and setup, there were follow up videos on the growing process.
