THANK YOU! Not only did I appreciate the tutorial and unboxing, I have never thought about the cat café. I think that’s what you called it. Took a screenshot! Hope that was OK! Thank you for sharing! I now have a new idea as well for my cat that does not like to leave his water dish where it is.
Just ordered one! I have three cats, have been working at home for the past few years but now work back in an office. My 18 y/o cat is getting persistent UTI's. I hope having a constantly cleaned litter box will help my old girl.
Your cat is likely not drinking enough water. Most people put a bowl of water right next to the food just like it is done for dogs. It has been found that cats don't like to drink next to their food. I highly recommend placing a couple of additional bowls out in various spots and see if he doesn't start drinking and peeing more. I hope your cats live long and happy lives.
I've had this for about 2 weeks now. I have 3 cats so the waste bag gets filled quickly. I do place it on sleep mode from about 10-7a. I believe when its sleeping, it will not rake the litter. My cats are pretty much sleep during those hours so very minimum to no activity so I'm hoping that will prolong the life of this. They do still track quite a bit around the litter dome. They took instantly to the litter. It's as if they couldn't wait to use it. It may be time for a deep cleaning. I have a couple regular boxes around my home. Those have the pine/wood pellets which works well for smell but once broken down, the saw dust is a pain when cleaning. So now trying out Pretty Litter. So far, all is well. I hope it stays that way.
Question? Have you updated this video after having it a few months? Mine started acting up right after the 90, good thing a have the warranty. Believe me, I keep it clean. Every other day I manually scoop the litter just in case. Those little rail guards in the inside do not like to stay in place. First thing to go out was the ring light when the I’ve light comes on. There are other issues but that’s another story. I’m sorry but I can’t recommend this litter box. Especially for $400. Think I’m returning it. More trouble than a regular litter box.
We have had zero issues with ours except, yeah those little red things do fall out of place. If you put a little piece of tape on the back side they will stay though
I’ve had this litter box for a month. It’s been working well. I want to know how to change out the litter completely though. Or is that supposed to be something unnecessary now?
My mother got one of those. Using the company's own bags for litter makes it unable to close due to the plastic bunching up and I noticed you were using different bags. Any chance you could tell me what they are? Thank you.
Wrap the bag around the bin and that will solve the bunching problem. Pay particular attention to the sides of the bin because the door won't shut closely if the bag is all loosy-goosy. I've found the bag stays in place real well if I wrap it around and under the bin as it's quite large.
I ordered the ELS litter box two months ago. When I got it my cat really liked it however a week later the thing stopped working. Talked to Amazon and they replaced it. Got new ELS and as soon as I opened it the bar that holds the rake was broken. Returned this one and said never again. So last week I ordered Litter Robot 3 and so far everything is working great even the app is great. ELS is made in China and the Litter Robot is made in the USA enough said!
@@Vampirita447 Elspet is a dang scam. Most worthless one I have ever bought and then they charge the crap out of you if you try to use their 90 day return policy. Basically your out $200 for restocking, cleaning and having to pay for the shipping.
How can you monitor your cats urine output...and feces...you'd never know if he/she had a health issue... And what if you spent all that $$...and your cat wouldn't use it???
It actually still needs to be cleaned, esp if you use a regular clumping litter. It stos working if you dont which i found out the hard way. I use a crystal litter and it works great but it still needs cleaning, just not as quick.
I have two robots and have not had to manually clean the robot, but for my cat who spray pees (😢) at the back. Our traditional litter boxes had been rigged up plastic bins that were large with real high walls (or else!!). I do keep an eye out for trouble and haven't had any❣️ I'm really pleased, and I know my cats are, too.
Do you mind doing a video on the app for this liter box I bought it and for some reason it’s a little confusing to me. How do I schedule it to clean every day or does it just clean by itself without me cleaning it . Also I have multiple cats and I can’t seem to tell the difference between them on the app.
I bought one from Amazon and it has not worked since day one. Pretty crappy product for 500 bucks 😒 Not getting any satisfaction from Els Pet, just excuses and stalling. Trying to return it, but they want me to pay the 200 bucks for shipping ! Kind of weird, they sent it to me in Alberta from BC. They want me to return it to Ontario ! WTF ?😕
Well, my corn litter was doing great, neat chunk and odorless. Now this, I had to sip through the litter for leftover small pieces of 💩, because the rake seemed to chop them. With corn litter, I just need to pick up 💩 and tossed right away, no odor. Now, the machine stinks and I have to learn how to disemable. I didnt really need to clean the litter box with corn litter for a while, and I used uv lamp. What was I thinking?? now I have to clean this machine, worse.
On sale for $339. But yeah. Just think of the utility cost. Your time is worth how much? $25/hour? How long would this $339 device take to pay you back? I'll bet my wife spends an hour month taking care of cat litter. That's 339/25= 13 1/2 months to pay back and this thing will last years. It's worth every penny.
Mine came with a piece loose on the inside. It was a little curved part with rubber flaps. Any idea where that's supposed to to? And does your step also have a hole underneath that goes straight to the floor? 😂 Maybe those are related.
Whenever my parents agreed that I could get a "new" pet, it was always with the expectation that the care, all of that pets needs were put on my chores list. This included cleaning up the cats poo and urine. Your life, your house, your rules, and your daughter. Responsibility is a key lesson for kids to learn. Every kid, no matter how busy, has 10 - 15 minutes to clean a cat box every day. Excuses. $600.00?? Wow.
The UV light has to be a gimmick. There are UV water sterilizers for camping/emergencies. You have to have water that doesn't have a bunch of particles in it or the little bad guys will be shielded by the dirt particles in the water and it won't kill them. In a litter box?!?! Ya, that's not going to have any effect past what the light directly shines on.
Some cats need time to switch to the robot and others are good to go after they realize it's their litter. I have two cats (one of each aforementioned type 🫣) and one robot on each floor. Both cats love those robots!
Two huge problems here. 1. You buy almost everything on Amazon and yet there are probably a million people in North America that would not shop through Amazon if they were the last company in the world. 2. This thing costs $800 USD. This device is probably made in China therefore you could probably buy it in China for $50 or less. Would I buy an automated cat litter box - NO. God Bless Joe Scott Muddy Dog Ranch
I bought two 16 months ago, through Amazon, at $400 each. I knew I wanted the extra coverage I'd get purchasing through Amazon in case there was a problem. I have not been disappointed a single day by either robot.

I am also getting a cat very soon and will be ordering this! The most labor free litter box I’ve ever seen! Thank you for sharing!!

@@SSLFamilyDad that pleases me that you have had no issues. I’m going to pick your brain 😊 what cat litter do you use?
I also have had no issues in over 16 months with the two I purchased. I use Tidy Cat Multi.

That poor cat wasn't getting his litterbox cleaned-out every day before the machine? He must be really happy about the improved quality of life now.
They probably don't want to deal with his worm infested poop. Hmm i bet they don't worm their cat either.
Pretty cool

Does litter robot 3 have the uv light?? Because I’ve seen that it’s top rated but I really want the uv light
It's all made in China lol
I have not had a single problem with the two ElS Pet robots I have. Me and my cats love them.
My els is awful

The robot cleans automatically after your cat uses it. The set timer is 20 minutes after use, but you can significantly shorten the time manually.
So there are some working out there? Mine came from Amazon not working ;-(
I have two and they've been solid running for over 16 months 😍

My cats would be afraid of that
Hell, I’m scared of it...
How did you get the app to work mine keeps crashing

Wow.
I agree but then when they move out? Cats live for 20 years or more so one way or another you are going to be cleaning the litter box.
How's it working now? Still happy with it?
Yes!
I have two that have run flawlessly for 16 months now.
Like using bathroom in the club...Can you add strobes?
Lol
Still working good?
Yes we love it!
Updates?
Still liking it?
Two for 16 months now. Me and my cats - YES❣️

It is just to sanitize the air, it is supposed to prevent odors after the rake goes through and stirs up the litter
Eewwee stinkie winkie!!

Did you guess how long it will take for the cat to enter and use it? Does the cat know because of the litter inside?
Input his old box near it for a day or two then saw he was using it and removed the old one. He knows the litter so if he sees it he will use it

Elspet is a terrible product
You better worm you cat. Mice and rodents carry parasites and roundworm.
Because it's your daughter's job?
I still see that the litter is soiled looking from the pee clumps not being carefully extracted. That sucks...
After running it for almost a month it has stayed perfect clean so far, I have just added litter each time I empty the bin.
Maybe he was not using clumping litter, therefore when the rake scraped thru the urine litter broke up and spread, not tossed out.
Could also need to increase clumping time? My robots (16 mos old) have not left particles from large clumps - urine or stool.
