Hey queen! Girl, you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I’d say I’m surprised, but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl, you make me so proud, and I love you
Hatchie is the queen of dream pop. Just a glorious voice and sound. As for the sound, much kudos to Joe Agius, Hatchies boyfriend. The effects he uses fills the use of a keyboard player. I assumed they had a keyboard player until seeing them live. That is all on Agius.
Agreed but I think it's the audio mix. The audio is pretty flat which hurts them a lot. Recordings for live shows tend to suck because they're mixed for the audience and not television.
@@awtprod I'd agree with you on that. Saw them in a small club in Freo the other night and there was plenty of punch in their performance (and the support act, Gauci). They may have had a lacklustre gig here, but I think it's more likely the mix that's the issue
Live recordings as you hear them on proshot video or live albums are entirely artificial creations from (hopefully) several tracks and mixing. They don't reflect what the audience heard, almost at all. Videos like these, provided by a festival are probably very "best effort" compared to the Front of House mix done in real time for the audience. It takes a lot of specialized skill and likely time to produce a live album or broadcast, and those skills or efforts aren't anywhere near 100% transferrable from kicking ass with a venue's PA system. For example, BBC's Glastonbury videos sound pretty muddled to a surprising degree.

This lady is on fire with her new single Enchanted. And you know her live performance is just going to get better and better. What a voice.
Just saw them open for Japanese breakfast. Such a good band holy shit. Had to see their set again
It is tradition to revisit this show once every few months. Hatchie is one of my biggest musical influences ♥
Stay with me is a very good song. Feeling emotional and dreamy. I became a fan since I knew Hatchie on a radio program in Tokyo in April.
Amazing voice, I love it!

Ian McCausland typical primavera sound 😓🙄😚
audio engineer does not deserve a raise...
Sadly it’s lacking the punch of their studio efforts
It is. Their recordings are fucking fantastic. However obsessed in this set was amazing. Not even my favorite by them.

It probably sounded fine live!! They sound way better than a lot of indie acts right now

Sunglasses is for weed cool
Fucking golden band, but far out the live version sucks compared to their actual recorded songs.
I;ve noticed that this girl loves The Cranberries, but he singing is pretty weak.
Brilliant tracks, mediocre performance.
love the Hats avatar
Is that Hats as in Blue Nile?
Brilliant tracks, brilliant live!
