Why do you think Hera took out her wrath not on her husband but on the women he seduced?

Hera wasn’t mythologized in stone and ceramic portrayals in the Neolithic to do petty or unfair acts when she was the Great Goddess, Queen of Heaven. Hera was venerated before there was a Zeus. These stories of petty irrational behavior by most women in myths were introduced in late Bronze Age early Iron Age history to diminish female goddesses and priestesses and to prop up male dominance. Social systems transitioned from matrilineal kinship groups to patriarchal hierarchies built on slavery and subservience of women to men in families and stripped of power in politics and governance they once had. The new myths of women squabbling over who was prettier, and Hera doing ridiculous petty things and Zeus naturally being a jerk were commissioned by those in power to cement that reality.

Scholars and philosophers have actually answered this question. There's two layers to it: one cultural and one theological. A lot of the myths where Hera is wrathful towards a lover of Zeus are believed by scholars to actually have been teaching tools used by the Greeks to teach ideas about gender. Namely that male sexuality is inherently predatory and that modesty is the only way a woman can avoid attracting the wrong kind of attention. Hera turns them into things other than women to take away their womanly shape for their own good. These stories are not really indicative of how Zeus and Hera are meant to be characterized but rather are using Zeus and Hera as the typical male and female: men are predatory and women need to encourage others to be modest. That accounts fot at least a part of these stories. The other half is that Hera theologically speaking is an initiatory Goddess whose wrath is actually a driving force to development. Note the various people She has antagonized: Semele, Herakles, Dionysos, Io, Ino and Melicertes. There's a pattern here. Every one of these people becomes a God (or in Dionysos' case, an Olympian since He already is a God). If not for Hera, all of these people wouldn't be who They are today. Because of Hera They are Gods. This falls in line with Her role as the Goddess of Marriage which is a rite of passage for the young woman and as it happens marriage just so happens to be a symbol of the end result of the Greek mysteries (at least as far as the Bacchic Orphic mysteries are concerned which interestingly again all of those figures I mentioned are related to those mysteries). So really Hera's wrath is necessary and need not be directed towards Zeus because He doesn't require it. That's just not the purpose of Hera's wrath.

I find it so sad that most of what people talk about Hera is how she retaliated Zeus infidelities. Not because they are not relevant, but because this interpretation of the goddess is very shallow and misogynistic, a character assassination that comes from hatred towards wives and their goddess. And yes, Hera wasn't really the goddess of womanhood, you wouldn't see her associated with prostitutes, or concubines ie, nor is she that much relevant to Pandora, she was more the goddess of wives, brides and aristocratic women. Hera was, as far as we know, the first god (male or female) to have a regular temple in ancient Greece. She is also associated with fertility with Zeus through their marriage (in the Iliad when she and Zeus make love flowers bloom around them), someone else (don't remember who right now) also says that she was the goddess that gave birth to the souls, hence her connection to birth. ALSO, she could possibly be a city goddess, or fertility goddess more important than Zeus at a time when he was probably coupled with Dione. Also, her cult in Samos was very special and has references to a possible maritime quality to the goddess. At Samos, they used to tie her statue to a tree as a reference to a myth where pirates tried to steal her cult statue, but the statue refused to leave the island. Her connection to the sea could also be seen in Sapho's poetry or the Aeneid. If I'm not mistaken, her early temples tended to be close to the shore or next to Poseidon. She is also a goddess of mercy through her daughter Hebe, who'd grant immunity in her temple. Hera was also a goddess of beasts. Many of the monsters in Greek Mythology were her pets or had been raised by her, which could one of the reasons Hera and hero are somehow related words. Another reasons for Hera to be connected to heroes could be the fact that Hera also represents the prime time of one's life, specially when she takes her yearly rejuvenating bath. AAAAAAND she is also a warrior who kicks Artemis butt in the Iliad. She is not an equal to Zeus, but dam close... this video could have gone much beyond the sexist woman-crazy cliche propaganda against her.

Well thats your interpretation. The incestuous behaviours, mutilations, and abducts/rpe are far more concerning.

Hera had to make an awful contract with Zeus. He sudduced and raped all the women in this culture. Hera had power before her brother. I believe Patriarchy had a lot to do with painting Hera a nagging wife. My opinion is she can give birth without a male is far more important than any of Zeus' shannanagans.

Hera was worshipped long before Zeus came on the scene. Hera never needed Zeus. The goddess gives birth without a male consort. That is unusual and I wish you would do deep dives about her instead of the cut throat parts. Hera is magnificent. She is the most beautiful goddess and the Queen. She deserves much more respect than you have shown here.

We love Hera, and I'm not sure how we showed any disrespect towards her, but thank you for watching and for your feedback.

The market is very unstable and you can not tell If it's going bearish or bullish. I advise everyone to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses. When these reports are bullish take some off to the side lines, when news gets bearish start buying. "Keep it simple simple" that bear/ correction was the best thing that happened me.But all thanks to Mark Medley for his amazing skills for helping me. Trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 9 BTC when I started at 2.5 BTC in just 5 weeks of implementing trades with signals and insights from Mark Medley, I would advise you all to trade your asset rather than hold for a future you aren’t sure about..
