Fantastic Cover by You as Always 🙌, of One of My Favorite Disturbed Songs, that brings back So Many Memories~ along with Overburdened! David’s Vocal range shines through these tracks exceptionally well, as do the Guitars! 🙌🎸🎤✨🤘🖤🔥
I recently started pondering the idea of a tribute band but not knowing which to choose: Endo or Disturbed. I feel the latter would most likely have a bigger draw, though I'm not sure if my vocals could handle David's constant use of vocal fry. Anyway, this watching this video started the mental debate for me and, even though I seem to remember you saying you live in Jersey (?), a guitarist of your quality is what I'd want on board. If you're not familiar with Endo, I suggest checking out their song Simple Lies.
I always forget to ask but why don't you play live anymore? It's not just you, tho... A lot of these cover channels, everything is pre-recorded. Idk how Dan does a lot of these transitions live. He must use a harmony pedal, or something.
You get better audio quality pre-recording as you can double-track, quad-track, add in different layers/different guitar parts, have dynamic EQ, etc. It adds more work but the results are better. When you do it live, you're pretty limited to what you can do and I did it that way for a long time and probably would still be doing it that way if it weren't for the fact everybody else pre-records their covers nowadays and the quality of covers on UA-cam has gotten crazy good for that reason. In order to keep up with the new standard, I had to also jump on board and do it that way too. As far as how these bands perform their songs live, they use backing tracks most of them to fill in all the extra parts that they played in studio and can't recreate live otherwise. This song has 3 guitars going at the end, Dan at most can only play 2 at the same time with an octave pedal to create the harmony but then there's still a 3rd guitar doing the rhythm chords underneath which would have to be playback if there isn't a 2nd guitar player to play it. In the old days, Dan would play the lead live for this song and the rhythm would be on playback, but more recent live versions of this song he does the opposite; he plays the rhythm and the lead is on playback.
One of their best songs...love the lead part through chorus...very underrated songs among their singles...you nailed it perfectly
