About the victory screen, I think it would be funny if the losing team where able to throw tomatoes/various fruits at the winning team to further add to the humiliation. Great devlog! Excited to see more in the future.
Better yet, have the type of punishment that you can take out on the winning team be random. Sometimes it is throwing tomatoes, sometimes you are sliming them, dropping them through a trap door or what ever with each person having a button you can press to do it with. Adds a type of excitement to see what will happen that time, possibly furthering the fun of the whole thing, while distracting from the loss. Some might even WANT to lose. =P hehe
I've been looking for this channel for so long but couldn't remember the name. Finally it got recommended again! I love the tropical animals. My fave. It's like watching Booga Booga Land with my nephew in the summer but in devlog about videogame. 🎉🎉
"I wanna see the map making!" "I wanna see the character design process" nah i wanna see the placeholders. I want a peak into your sense of humor, that loading screen placeholder was HYSTERICAL.
One of my favorite parts about destiny 2 is seeing other players in the loading screen, so I think showing other players in your squad running in the tunnel would be a great addition
Thank you guys for 9000 subscribers! I'd also like to say theres a part where I accidentally say "p*rn" when I actually meant to say "SCORN"! oops! Be assured, we have not hid anything bad within zoo strikers 😉
Thats good to hear, I kinda went ham with the editing on this one, but I can never tell if the jokes are funny or not! Maybe I used the fart with reverb too much haha
I think for the end scree, the winners would dance and all that on a stage, but the losers are in the audiance and they have a little target that they can move and when they click it would throw food like an apple core or a banana peel
I'd love to see more level design/environmental art process for the next blog. Also 100% agree with vertex painting not being used enough in indie games, AAA still use it for masking things like foliage and other odd stuff you'd never think of.
The narrator's voice from the start just makes this even better. The fact it sounds like one of those official game's narrators telling about what games are just makes this brilliant.
We use a ton of animators too! Make sure to set anything that isn't always in view to cull completely! And if you wanna go the extra mile, we also implemented a proximity check toggling animators on/off. Did wonders for our Switch port!
Honestly I would love to see the customization part worked on a bit. I already have an idea for a bug skin to be a rhino beetle. And I just love the idea of customizing your character even more than from the normal animals sounds cool.
Aside from looking like such a polished project and having so many really cool concepts behind the game, I also really appreciate your music choices for the videos (I'm sure it's been said before) ! God, the mix between masayoshi takanaka, all the different "wii" games' menu music, mkwii online lobby music, donkey kong country and all the other stuff you've thrown in these devlogs communicate the feeling of the game perfectly. Congrats on getting jobs, and I'm very excited for the next video :)
Holy crap, just found out about the animation component too, because of this video lol. Did some profiling on my project a while ago and the animators are eating up quite a bit of performance. Thanks a lot.
Yea theres all sorts of ways to help keep animators from using so much performance, even just keeping the animators off other than when they are interacted with and stuff like that
I was looking forward to playing this game with my daughter, but she is very good at finding hidden things in games. So I guess we won't be checking this one out after all. If this was just a joke, it wasn't a very tasteful one imho.
@@CodyReader I'm fairly certain it's just a joke, Steam wouldn't allow it to be published without an adult tag after it's been validated by their team.
I absolutely missed this devlog and in the time since discovering said series. I've gotten a job and have afforded the means to upgrade my setup to a point where I can animate/render in Blender on a Display Tablet. It's a 3070 PC Setup and I'm still getting used to the fact that I built myself. This absolutely like reinvigorated my passion for game design.
Super happy to see a new devlog of Zoo Strikers! The game looks fantastic and that loading screen is so stylish. I really like the idea for the end of the match screen! As regards what I'd like to see in a future devlog, I would be very interested to see more of the character design process, the characters from this game are simply awesome :)
don't know if you're familiar with the Digimon Movie, but your loading screen is basically the internet tunnels from that movie and I absolutely love it
in the loading screen you can just see the character flying in the tube that would be a cool loading screen and im thinking of an animalcrossing typ flying animation:)
so happy to see this devlog come back! Would love to see more environment art and your process on that, I'm more of a 2D artist but I just love the way you make stylized environments in 3D!
Looking amazing! I'd say to add a little more oomf to the jump, maybe have one frame where the player crouches before jumping, though i'm not sure how that would affect gameplay.
I like the start screen but hmm maybe your main character swinging on vines in between going in different tubes would be fun. Perhaps he could use a Banana Boomarang that doubles as a trap weapon like on Mario cart and a health boost. So that when he eats it to boost health he can throw the peel behind him after. Perhaps he might slip as well if he encounters it or instead he does a flip or something.
WOW! Thank you all for 10, 000 Subscribers!!!! What the heck!? For the 10, 000 subscriber special I will show you all how to eat a really big pizza!!!
big pizza
Love it! 👍🏼
Dude can’t wait!
When pizza

@@merccc1 love it!
Let us Throw rotten bananas please!
For the victory screen, it should read the winner’s IP address back to them
Thats hilarious! 1/1000 chance to happen to balance it out though
Why not security number?
I've been looking for this channel for so long but couldn't remember the name. Finally it got recommended again! I love the tropical animals. My fave. It's like watching Booga Booga Land with my nephew in the summer but in devlog about videogame. 🎉🎉
The exact same thing happened to me
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss you’re back!!!
I want the “Im hungry” voice clip to be a 1/1000 chance to happen when you see the victory screen.
LEDGE JUMP. I guess you really can reinvent the wheel 😳
"I wanna see the map making!" "I wanna see the character design process" nah i wanna see the placeholders. I want a peak into your sense of humor, that loading screen placeholder was HYSTERICAL.
everytime I see your work I wounder why im even trying. xD
with that said love evey bit I saw!

could you please talk about the shader and texture, how or the process you make those 3D materials
@@jakejake6029 Definitely!
@@MikMikBrody hey I'm imma need the name of that monkey that winks at the camera in the intro
Freudian slip go brrrrr
Love the idea of the “humilimations” btw that should be the name.

Woah, this is cool, you’re cool, I’ll be subbing
Yay you are back Amazing video btw
After months, finally you back
Im crying, the victory screen humiliation sounds revolutionary. I need to add that to a multiplayer game someday.
I think for the end scree, the winners would dance and all that on a stage, but the losers are in the audiance and they have a little target that they can move and when they click it would throw food like an apple core or a banana peel
Wow I really enjoyed this devlog! Thank you!
that hidden message at the end was so worth.
definitely
WOO he's back!
love the game! just subscribed
God finally😁😂✌️
Underrated youtuber
what a great video.
I love the donkey kong music and references so much
thank you, editing the video wouldn't be fun without them!

Yea! I'd love to make some sort of resource page that compiles all of what people have done with vertex painting
350+ days later!! lets go
Your content is super well made
love your humor
you got me on the ending screen! looking forward to play this
Loading screen has is basically from Our War Game and I love it

Loading Screen, i like it
Love what you did with that loading screen.
This game looks like it could be AAA, but with an indie soul
I would like to see more design note. Seeing more of how you reach your decisions is interesting and informative.
New to this channel and i love it!
THE RETURN
yay develogs, thank you for posting
Glad you didn't vanish forever :D I love your game and the frog game looks awesome too!
The tunnel loading gives me summer wars and Digimon the movie vibe
1:03 This hits hard, it is honestly nostalgic, he is watching us from the finish line :)
I like this style of devlog with the narrator! Also really like the idea for the victory screen. I laughed out loud when you described it! Good video!
Amazing video, love the transitions, the pacing, the music, the voiceovers, EVERYTHING! Can't wait for the next one! Subscribed

it would be cool to see the characters flying through the tunnel as if they were in a glass tube that transports them, futurama style
Super mario 3D world
odd squad
how is that not getting millions of views

Hilariously awesome devlog as always! 😂 I think it’d be dope to see more about how you setup “actions” for your character controller!
Glad to see that you are still working on this!
finally a new devlog !
Gotta say I love the format of these devlogs. Feels like watching a DBZ episode lol. Keep up the good work

I’d like to see more of character development and or weapon development
hello at the end lol
