New follower here from LHL. My family came to California from South Dakota. We still have relatives in South Dakota living on our great grandparents farm. Their house didn’t even have indoor plumbing until the 80s. So nothing you need to be ashamed about. They’re old farmhouses, a piece of history!!!
@SteinmetzFamilyFarms 🙋 who else came over to SFF from Longhorn Lester's? I've been watching for the last few weeks & I love this crazy trio, Jason, Lauren and Jeff are real everyday people, each have an incredible sense of humor 😂 I wish I would have known about your channel before now, however I'll definitely be bing watching your past video. Thanks for the laughs, great video content and sharing your precious babies with us❣️
I love revisiting 66 Lake Rd. Many memories I will always cherish, the good and the bad. Yes, the bad are difficult when I think of the loves that were lost, but I love them still and keep them close in my heart.
All those wagging tails says it all😂🤣🥰 I absolutely love the house. Memories and more memories. Written and cut and built in that home. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello Jay and Jeff , looks cold outside, I also came over from Lester & Jami channels , Yesterday the tour of your farm was awesome, Lauren did a great job . will be seeing you soon
Thank you for sharing your beginnings! Some of the most beautiful homes are empty shells, void of love and laughter and family. You filled that farm house with those, it sheltered you and provided you with the space to be able to start it all. If oniy the house could speak, it would tell of all the families it protected snd sheltered, your family is a part of it's story.
9:00 The great goatlet lineup! Is there any greater show of pure joy than a lineup of goatlets, sucking their milk on one-end and shakin their tails (at near lightning speed) ? PS I absolutely LOVE those childrens' rooms. PLEASE reair those, or reedit and air, on UA-cam PLEASE!!!
I really enjoyed this video going back to the old home place for y’all. I love the up stairs. It’s all so beautifully made. This girl from Mississippi is so glad I found your page from Longhorn Lester’s.
Scrap linoleum would have saved from ruining the floors but you live you learn right ❤ we all have our times when our dreams are bigger than we can accomplish. I love old houses❤ the rooms you redid are amazing!
Please don't be embarrassed about the OG house. Our home was built in 1864. We bought it in 1975. The last room was done in 1999. Little by little, room by room we fixed it the way we wanted it. My husband and I did it all, except the carpeting. I would still like to have new cabinets in the kitchen but just can't justify the expense when these are working just fine. After my husband died, my daughter helped me strip the wall paper (1999 addition) and paint the walls, cabinets, and we put in hardwood floors. Nephews did that for me. I love it still. Hubby said there would never be a painted wall in this house. Always wallpaper. Well, God rest his soul, there are now 3 painted rooms. Probably not to everyone's taste, but we made it our home, for 50 years in May. And I can't imagine living anywhere else.
Hi there . Am one of Lester watcher since Covid. You had really cool ideal for those rooms that were remodel. It does take time . I'm sure with the expenses nowadays there's even more time that passes. Chuck is doing well so far . He's a really handsome bull . Hi Jeff .
Thank you for sharing this season of your life with us, Justin. So many beautiful memories that make a home special. I loved the baby goats eating and waging their tails. Our home was sold after our divorce of 24 years. Man, I miss the laughter, sleepovers, pets. I miss it all. My boys are in their 20’s now and I hope they remember the good times we had. I blinked and now It’s like that was another lifetime ago. Sending prayers to you and yours!🙏🏻🏠
Justin love your house !! First time seeing it being from Lester’s channel that would be my dream home old farmhouse very cool. Sweet memories for your family for sure
Justin those baby goats are so precious. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you thru Lester. I love the blood, sweat and tears y’all put into the old farm house. I love old farm houses. They have so much character. We love Chuck and so glad his journey will continue in Texas with Lester and Jami. Love y’all and Jeff. Take care and stay warm. It feels like springtime this week in Oklahoma.❤❤
I started following you just shortly before Chuck had his way with you Jay and so I hadn't seen what the house and property at Lake Road was like before. I fell in love with the babies all lined up at the wall drinking their milk at the same time. It was so gosh darn cute!!!! Lots of wonderful memories made. ❤️
Thanks for taking us back in time. So many memories from on the Lake Rd farm. Happy and sad. The baby goats in the house. The old Army tent. Hope's birth and Justin bringing her back to life. The Koi fishpond. Hannah catching the bullfrogs. There were some big ones too! The sound of the train! Many of us will always have these fond memories. ☺❤

I saw a glimmer of hope and excitement in your eyes here that's been missing. You and Lauren should be so proud of yourselves. ❤🤟🤟 both
Discovered you when you were talking to Lester about taking Chuck down to Texas. Thanks for sharing your beginnings. I live at the other end of Pennsylvania and have a really small farm. My husband worked for a general contractor. We bought our house almost 40 years ago and redid the entire inside of the house. It’s about 200 years old. Huge beams and stone walls in our basement. My husband lost his battle with cancer 21 years ago. I’m still living on my small farm and wouldn’t give it up for the world. You actually have to live this farm life to appreciate it, and what people like you have gone through. Your family and way of life is an inspiration. When I watch you on UA-cam it’s like watching family. Looking forward to more videos.
Love the look. Rustic/primitive style. The recycle of the barn. It's nice to see where you started. I am working my way through your previous videos as a newbie to the chanel
Jay, it all begins somewhere and what really matters is making memories. You now have a lifetime memory of your beautiful experience at JL North and a new friend for life. Side note….. I’m in Tampa but live in Rhode Island and there are no Cumbys here!! God I miss CF. Watching you take a sip made it worse lol. ❤
Looks like a lot of fun. I do remember when you took the hood to the suburban and was pulling it on the back of the 3 Wheeler. And everybody was falling off. That was fun too
I love old houses, I would give anything to have and live in an old house, remodel it. It’s my dream. I live in AZ in a finished house built in 2013 brand new when we bought it. But I prefer old houses like yours.
Thank you for sharing your previous home with us. I Am one of Lester's Horney's 😂😂😂. You'll have to ask him about the name if he hasn't already shared.

Memories I wish people would do that.Do a wall. How tall? Your kids git's the coolest thing ever. I've never seen a house that is like Maize secret departments.
