This is one of the best homes I’ve seen in a while. The layout is practical and contemporary. Everything is well thought out, with room for both entertainment and privacy. I love the idea of having laundry areas on different floors and each bedroom having a full bathroom. The main bedrooms are together, which is ideal for a growing family. The natural lighting is great, and the home is equipped for future needs, like electric cars. It’s also built to accommodate multi-generational living, frequent guests, or for short term or long term renters. The large tubs are nice, though some people find it hard to keep the water warm.
I love that some have an inherent talent to see things like this so clearly. I knew it was a bit plain, but had no idea what would work. Thanks for sharing.
I really like this house. I especially like the fact that every bedroom has its own bathroom. the outside is cool. looks like a nice backyard. price is not bad at all for what you get.
So far, this house is FANTASTIC!!! As spacious as this house is, it is still warm. Many, many great features...mostly the stone work (exterior and interior), floors, windows, bathrooms., laundry, etc...just such an excellent house! (Slight con: Yes, they could have done a bit more with the backyard deck situation...)
The modern kitchen with those stainless steel appliances is a chef's dream. And the backyard patio looks perfect for entertaining guests. I love the open floor plan and the abundance of natural light.
The curb appeal was on point IMO. It left me wanting to see more. Every outside angle was beautiful. Very open entry leading to the stairway, living room, and dining area. This is proper staging when an owner is serious about selling. Overall, beautiful home. This looks like a home from a cramped housing community (i.e., The Châteaus at Lake Green) on a nice lot of land. $2.6M with the traffic noise and minor changes... I don't know, maybe?!?
Beautiful home. Great feature walls . The open kitchen, the flooring is great ( you could hardly hear you walking on it) , the master is nice ( I didn’t like the wet bar. It could have been a work space) . The basement is very functional. On the front of the home, why did the builder cheapen the porch with the railing . It should have been Trex . The brick facing and siding on the sides . 5000 sq. Ft. 2.6million.🤔 . When i saw the second floor deck. I knew it was over 2 million. I thought given the back area a separate garage was possible and not an attached. Nice home it shows beautifully.
Hello Jonathan. 1. Glad to see the builders are using smaller soaking tubs. Those very large soaking tubs I would not be able to use. Not suitable for people that are around 5'2". Would require platform steps and rails. The soaking tub is nice for a quick soak, the hot water will cool very fast, the larger the tub the faster the hot water will cool unless it is a heated tub. 2. Missing a living room for entertaining special guests vs using the family room close to the kitchen. 3. The floating platform deck that low to the ground could have been better planned. 4. I know I am old school but if the primary laundry room has space a wet dry closet with a drain and exhaust fan would be handy to hang wet/dry clothes as not all clothes go into a dryer. It would look like an enclosed shower but very narrow. Always wanted one vs me hanging these items over a utility sink or in the bathroom shower or tub area. As always thanks for sharing.
I like the house. Every bedroom has a on suite. No need to fight to use the bathroom in the morning. Very spacious. The hood in the kitchen looks ridiculous. The backyard is big. You could add a pool! Thanks for showing us a wonderful property.
I agree about the hood, it seems out of proportion and blech. My heart broke with the possibility of that stone wall and that tiny, skinny, scrawny little fire.
I love this house! Would totally pay the asking price for this one Oh and the tub, I would absolutely use it all of the time. Where I live now only has a shower in the main bedroom bath. But when I had my house and had the big tub, I had my candles, all of my bubble baths and books and magazines to read. I used it several times per week.
Very nice house 👍🏼 I would change the stone in the livingroom, kitchen backsplash and some of the light fixtures but thats it. Not crazy about the price but it's the location 🤷🏻♀️
The exterior is definitely an acquired taste but I wish it was full brick. I just wish it had a larger porch and deck. I love a big porch and back yard deck I would definitely have to put money in the back yard
I love the tub in the primary bedroom and would use 2-3 times a week, soak my muscles in a nice hot bath! Love all the outdoor space as well. If money was no issue, I would buy it!
Gorgeous house. The only thing I would change is that mini kitchen in the primary bedroom. It would be better utilized as a seating area to me personally.
Nice house, I like it. I got the price right for a change. I agree with you on the stove hood they should have done more with it, maybe covered it with the same stone that's on the fireplace wall. Two things, dining room color and exterior color. The black exterior brick is ok, but I think I would change the house color to some shade of white. Easy fix.
I look at leaving the stove hood as a blank box is a great way for the new home buyer to add a special touch to the home. I think that's a great opportunity to add my own pop. Lol
It’s a nice house. Wide open spaces. Small kids could definitely roller skate, bicycle and play tag in that space. The kitchen hood looks like one of these things just doesn’t belong here, lol. When I was younger, I used to take long, luxurious baths in my soaker tub. Now, it’s almost a storage space.
I don’t see the practicality in having such huge homes anymore- like who rly needs a 7 bedroom house??? I guess if it’s multi-generational: both sets of grandparents etc. otherwise most families consist of 2-3 kids on avg.
This is a beautiful home. They put wood on the island as an accent. I would've carried that detail onto the hood. Because the kitchen is in a cool tone, it would have warmed it up a bit. Its not a deal breaker.
For me the black stone on the front and side is hedious.. I love the the look of the house but i don't think the use of black stone was well thought out...but the house won me over the more I saw of it....
I absolutely love this house over all. I love the colored accent walls on the bottom level. I love the black brick on the outside, the bright burnt orange is a bit much perhaps off white or gray would have been my taste! Love the modern touches like the vents, I love showers with benches and hand held shower heads as well. Don’t like all the plates trees, 🤦🏽♀️lol, would change the color of siding maybe gray or white against the black rock. Love this house I would buy it. Thank you sir sharing
This is a nice home perfect for entertaining. The misses for me: 1. The location of the in-law quarters 2. The hood- I would just rather see a nice hood and use the space round it for shelves or extend the cabinets, otherwise that kitchen is on point. 3. The wet bar in the main bedroom- I would make that smaller not to take up the whole wall or tuck it in the closet area. Thought it was a bit under-whelming (like they ran out of money) I still like the back yard, it's a blank canvas you could do lots of things with to put your own spin/touches on the property.
Hi Johnathan! This house is amazing, nice open floor plan and plenty of room. It doesn't give you the feeling of being closed in. The only side back is; that overhead range, as you stated, it is too boxy and they should remove it and replace it with something that is more modern that goes well with the home but make it black instead because it will offset all of that white in the kitchen. Also, I am assuming there isn't a pantry, if not, they should have that as well.
@@kevikev2.0 Hi! No, I don't believe that is the Kitchen Pantry because that's what I was referring to when I was talking about the kitchen area. Thanks
This is a LOT of house, beautiful for a big family. I like yard so it appears to have a good bit, which i like. The hood was a miss now is it 2.6 worthy 🤔🤔 possibly with it being brand new, completely finished basement oh and I liked the bar area in the master so I would say if you got it....why not for this particular home.
I like it because of the unique layout. I would change a few things about it so not worth the price tag for me. When I think of a brand new 2 or almost 3 million house it needs to be stunning. 😂
I agree with you on the kitchen hood. it needs some custom decorative element or trims to spice it up. When I saw it, I thought it was one of the upper cabinets unfinished. Also, the light fixture near the hood vent seems pointless to me as it takes up space that could be used for other cabinets. The sink on the kitchen Island is too small in size. The living space looks too small (9:20). A price of $2.6 Million is a hard to swallow pill for this house. Price aside, I would buy this house because it has the potential to turn it into an AIRBNB or rental investment. Also, that's a huge lot size one can do a lot with. The only issue is the loud sound from the surrounding highways. The use of black stones with the world and other material creates a unique character to this house. I love it.
I like this house but I prefer an older house. If it was the only option, I'd have no issue purchasing it. The red paint on the outside is a plus for me too. 👍🏾 1:57 It looks like they probably built the deck that way, so the basement windows could receive as much light as possible because a deck at the main floor height would definitely shade them. ☀️ 4:20 Jonathan skipped the pantry😏‼️ 😅 7:31 I would clad the hood in a wood the color of the floating shelves or plain stainless steel. 15:43 They probably planted all those trees to help buffer the noise from the road. 🚗
I love the house but have a few issues. The first issue is having the formal dining room at the front of the house, I rather have this room connected to the kitchen and I didn't see a pantry. A house of this size should have a pantry. I like the black brick on the exterior but the red siding and yellow on the front of the house doesn't look good. It's funny because red/ yellow and black can be matched well but it's not working on the exterior. Johnathan I'm part of the not fan of open shelves as well. 😅😅😅😁😁😁
Seems like a lot of wasted open space. The foyer could be half the size and still feel open. Same with the main bedroom and bath. Re those beverage fridges, does anyone know whether they are self-defrosting?? Because, if not, that's a horrible frequent task with easy flooding (speaking from vast experience with mini-fridges).
We just completed a small house, old home remodel/addition to suit us in our retirement years. A deep bathtub is not safe or practical for old people: cleaning, climbing in and out Personally, I don’t like the black cabinetry
The exterior color combination is weird. The black brick is cool, though. The kitchen backsplash and light fixtures are too busy for my eye, but the kitchen is otherwise nice, except the stove hood, as you pointed out. Overall, for an overly large house, it’s pleasant. I wouldn’t buy, though, as I like older homes with character :)
Again. I am not a fan of 'White'. So the pops of color, like the brown in the dining area, the blue cabinetry in the bathroom, and the wood accents (because you know that I love wood!) are a plus for me! They could have done a bit more outside for the price they're asking. The house is iight. Not terrible. Just not for me. Can you please blue out your license plate in the future? That big free-standing tub looks very uncomfortable. The back has no contours. If you're my height, you'd drown; if not, dead from tripping while clambering out of that thing. Bathrooms are one of the highest locations for bad accidents in a home. Pendant light over the big shower? Maybe I'm not seeing that right. That would be against code for safety reasons? What's that weird wall in the lowest floor living area? It's so blank! It's making me ill how little these builders and buyers care about energy efficiencies. It's all about a quick sale. $2.6M and no energy efficiencies? Way over priced. With climate issues, the house is a white elephant, 20 years out of date.
I would be very pissed about the water spots you leave on the shower door glass & tiles because of your obsession. As for the soaking tub I would need it to be farther out from the wall to be able to clean behind it.
I think I might be the only one that absolutely hates this house! 😂😂 It’s not sure what it wants to be-is it a farmhouse? Is it contemporary? Is it mid-century modern? Is it a lodge? Too many design aesthetics making it look jarring. It’s a The kitchen made me gasp in horror. 😆 The layout is nice and the functionality is there… it’s just ugly (to me).
It is just a big house. No personality. Bathrooms are run of the mill, the hood over the stove is hideous. The most attractive part of this house is the front exterior. No I wouldn't buy. The asking price is not outrageous for this size of a house and the grounds, but it is just plain vanilla inside and out.

A copper or brass hood would have been amazing

Hi Jonathan, love it. Would be a copper tub in the master suite, and fence around back deck. Love it.
Jonathan, I'm the youngest out of 13 kids, I grew up poor in New York City. This house is what dreams are made of. Beautiful house 🏠 I must say. 💯

BUT YÒU SHOULD FLUSE THE TOILETS,AND RUN THE FORCETS
