IDK about the Falafel being served in a flour tortilla...sort of vlands out the taste of pita bread that its traditionally served in but if I remember growing up in Marfa...international type foods aren't found easily in Marfa.
I really enjoy the remoteness and landscape of the Marfa/Ft Davis area. I've always thought though that the type of contemporary art featured there has an "Emperor's New Clothes" feel to it. Since all the cool and sophisticated people think it's important and insightful, the rest of us just squint, nod our heads, stroke our chins while thinking "something must be wrong with me, I just don't get it".
Thank you, this was great! I looked up real estate online for Marfa, and found it ASTOUNDINGLY expensive! The cheapest building lots, which were about 6,000 sq ft, were asking $70,000. There were even a couple of homes there listed for over a million bucks. Sure would like to visit there!
Yeah, I was out there in ‘14’ staying in a Mongolian Yurt at El Cosmico. I walked into the communal area, hoping to catch a little news. When I mentioned FOX News, you could have heard a pin drop, it was suggested that I leave, outnumbered by some 20+ backpackers, well…Definitely lacking the ol’ Texas hospitality.
I've only spent a few hours in Marfa....need to take some time to enjoy a few days next trip out.
And they say Austin is weird? This place takes the cake!

Great video, love Marfa and surrender area. Great video Chet and team, really enjoyed the astronaut 👽👽
The planes look better than the self proclaimed art.
That railroad shot-please confirm that you or videographer were not walking down the tracks. Love this channel.
Why do they need to confirm that?
Chet with eyes wide open. Looks like elmer fudd. 😂😂😂😂😂

Went to see the Marfa lights but all I saw was Bud Lights.
Prada VALENTINE

Yep, definitely a long haul from Marfa, a change in the place name is due.
The falafel would be vegetarian also.
I wonder if Marfa still has the annual Marfa Mystery Lighrs Festival....anyone know?
Yes is still happens
"Sam Houston"😂😂😂
I wish that you could of experience the Pizza Foundation, it's the best pizza of all of West Texas.
I'm by no means an art expert, but that was a stretch.

Forget Portland, OR; keep Texas weird.
Go to Pecos home of the world’s first rodeo!!
And 285
Shouldn't this be S3E9? :)
Wow! So pretentious. Now i get why neighboring communities dont want to be marfa’d.
So folks in town definitely are. But most aren't.

Keep on 'dissing Fort Stockton. Marfa is on regular rotation, weirdo. Especially for anyone with a Harley. Come see us.
Is there anything else in Fort Stockton these days other then the McDonald's and Wlamart?

I was going to send this to my friends and family, but the two minutes or so that you spent on the Marfa Lights were terrible. I am disappointed.
Stupid boxes not art
Agreed!
