Whitney was discovered by Arista singing at some club in the SoHo area. Madonna got her big break at a then well known dance club called Danceteria, located around the Chelsea area. Mariah lived in Manhattan when she did backup vocals for Brenda K Starr.
She actually changed the game in sooooo many ways, she made performance art mainstream, couture a part of music, she did what David Bowie did, lil Kim did, Radiohead. No one should EVER sleep on this queen, she changed the music game and pop culture from the second she stepped in!!!
I used to skip school to stay at home and do this show in my bedroom when I was 13-14 instead of being bullied and humiliated. It was more beneficial to me then all that pain. Thank you for everything Gaga, you've taught me what it is to be fearless and that being myself at all times was the best policy . I came back to this after all those years as a 27 year old corporate sell out 🤣 and it hits so hard to finally see where all that determination comes from. For many gay guys from my generation this was our survival mechanism back then.
People don't talk enough about how cinematically great this tour DVD is. Yeah it's not like a total full on high-budget movie-like film such as the Reputation Tour, Homecoming, or Sweetener tour, however it's just so perfect for a live event! It feels raw with its saturated colors and non-edited vocals and ambient arena sound, it's a perfect live-recording! Doesn't need to be groundbreaking, it's more the talent and the budget of the actual show itself that's the groundbreaking factor and live films like this help show it for what it is 🔥

I came here to see/hear her call out Lady Bunny during "Teeth" 😅 But I stayed because it is so amazing to see her evolution from this early moment of her career. To think this was Gaga before "Born This Way", "Shallow", all of Chromatica- just insane. Not even to mention before her film and television projects. After seeing her on the Chromatica Ball tour this summer, it's amazing to see how much she's grown and truly polished as an artist and performer. I love her so much 💜

I’ve been to 2 shows of this tour in the Nederlands. 1 in gelredome & one in ahoy. This tour in a moment in time to be lucky enough to ever witnessing it. It was amazing and I never seen in after. It’s fair to say it’s her most iconic tour ever done. I wonder what she got in mind for her next tour. Chromatica was nice, but it can’t top monster ball or btw ball. I hope her next tour will bring or give us back a little more of this. Hardcore touring!

I looked for you, but can only find the DVD. I THINK you can upload it to your iTunes library and just listen instead of watching it. I just don’t know if it’s possible to separate the songs out, like with a CD/individual songs on iTunes, though. I actually just ordered the DVD, so if you respond to my reply in a few days, I could let you know if it’s separated into time-stamped “sections.” I’m just guessing, but in the absence of that “scene selection”, option on DVDs, I think you’d maybe have to listen to it in its entirety and/or scroll to what you want to hear? 🤔 Either way, once it’s uploaded to your iTunes library, you should be able to just listen to it while driving or at the gym, for example.

I looked for you, but can only find the DVD. I THINK you can upload it to your iTunes library and just listen instead of watching it. I just don’t know if it’s possible to separate the songs out, like with a CD/individual songs on iTunes, though.
I actually just ordered the DVD, so if you respond to my reply in a few days, I could let you know if it’s separated into time-stamped “sections.”
I’m just guessing, but in the absence of that “scene selection”, option on DVDs, I think you’d maybe have to listen to it in its entirety and/or scroll to what you want to hear? 🤔
Either way, once it’s uploaded to your iTunes library, you should be able to just listen to it while driving or at the gym, for example.
