These woofers are legendary.
heck yeah! :)
An online retailer replying to someone who is watching someone that bought a ton items from that online retailer, hmm, interesting.
Yeah. Something's fucky.
By the way, it's "an* online retailer", not "a online retailer".
Probably everyone in this comment section has some sort of relation with parts express, such as they have heard about it in videos, they remember hearing about it from someone else, they used the site, they bought from the site, they are in their brand ambassador program, etc.
We like to think of it as "Dat place where I get demz speakaz."
They're some sexy little woofers bro
My Stoner Mind xDD
Yo what up man love your channel
I love e your channel
My Stoner Mind when will you be doing a free air videi if ur sub
Hey hey hey,Stoney! How's it going? If it goes good please post a video :)
oh wow! the clarity on those full range speakers are pretty impressive! them teamed up with the ribbons and the planars will make a VERY good sounding setup!
Hey Doublsmm neodymium magnets are 4 to 5 times stronger than ferrite if you wanted to know that😀
Love the grouse woofers you bought can't wait till you do the builds it's gonna be awesome. 😀 👌
I can't wait to see the finished product!
Nice can't wait to see the outcome!! 😎👌
#Doublsmn getting the Dayton ND140-4 in a custom ported box @ 1.01cuft that I just build for my soon project of a 2.1 Bluetooth desktop music center with a pair of Dayton Audio PS95-3.5"...can't wait!!
Just order my first pair of dayton audio ds135-8 5" designer series woofer speakers. I can't wait, hopefully arrive tomorrow.
The 4" looks like a neo JL W7
Exactly lol
Just out of curiosity i calculated and built an enclosure for the ND140-4. Nice output in the 35-45Hz region, didnt expected that.
If you want to build this for yourself the inner dimensions have to be 32 x 32 x 31 cm, with a bassreflex port (diameter 6,5cm length 15cm) preferably on the opposite site of the cabinet (speaker front / port rear)
I wonder if it is possible to make a box for the smallest one that goes down to 30hz or so. Would be really cute :D
it would be cute lol but no it wouldn't be possible to do as if you were to hit 30 hertz with that small of a speaker you would lose all of your bass from id say 50-120 hertz and the bass down at 30 would be very quiet due to the fact the speaker is just to small to push the air needed to hit the frequency. for a speaker like this you would like to tune it somewhere around 80 hertz so that it will have alot of the high-Lows and still you will maintain down to around 50 hertz usable then a sub woofer can take over from there :)
sorry i wrote way to much there lol
Hey #penttipena321...It's possible, but you will have to sacrifice overall output... those little guys can only move so much air... a lot of air for a 3-1/2", but it is just a 3-1/2". Here a link to a little Bluetooth speaker I built (for watching movies on a tablet) that uses two of the ND91's as subwoofers in a MUCH smaller than optimum enclosure (136 cubic inches, or 2.22 L) tuned to 40 Hz:
techtalk.parts-express.com/forum/speaker-project-gallery/65452-tablet-cinema-v2-a-big-sounding-small-speaker
This setup has useful output down to 35 Hz, but only near-field (which is what it is designed for). The way this enclosure is tuned I've pretty much knocked the overall efficiency down by about 6 dB on the ND91's which is a pretty big sacrifice to extend the useful response down that low. Now in a larger, more correct enclosure you could definitely get the ND91's down to 30 Hz. You could even drive them to reasonable levels with the help of some DSP, just don't expect them to rattle your walls (maybe a little, but not much :) ).
Fuskers with passive radiators maybe
The nd 140-4 works really well in a 31Liter bassreflex box, around 90dB at 40Hz
You probably would have to be very good at designing and making things precisely. if you could use two 4's then you could probably do 35Hz F3's
I didnt expect the song invincible lmao. Cool video 🖒
Mate where do i find your center channel build.also surround speakers build as im lookinto building speakers using the pc83 and what where the dayton crossover s.thanks
Did you put 40w through the nd91s
You have them hooked up as fullrange?
Which one has the best excursion the 4 inch or the 5 inch
Hi what driver would you choose to make a hi-fi speaker? Dayton rs125 or Nd140?
can you help me with box size for 2 way with the 3.5 inch version
Have you got a new fan for your cerwin vega amp?
Where do you get the speakers from plz as I'm built a 2.1 soundbar and need to know
Those are real nice. Take your time when you put them together though. Do it right.
Ever think about trying a DSP? With room correction? And active speakers. Each driver gets their own channel. Or open baffle speakers?
All stuff I'm doing as soon as time/funds allow. I also want to set up a car stereo in my house. Deck, amps, maybe even DSP off a battery, and power supply. Maybe toss the drivers in an old speaker box, or an open baffle. All just for fun. They say open baffles are amazing. And that you can get imaging, and dynamics like really expensive speakers, but not spend much at all. Interesting ideas indeed. There's so much cheap gear available nowadays. Why not play around with some of it? Could make for some great videos.
Good luck on your builds.
Can you make a ported enclosure Bluetooth speaker from 2 nd105s like the diamond boxx
what kind of camera is this?
Wow cool video Bro! And nice!
That pun rear- lay coming on had me in stitches
2:18
I can't wait for those videos I'm so excited yay thank you for being my friend man maybe one day we could meet each other that be nice bated for Life bro
I just order the 5.25 to replace a paper one of the same wattage, I'm hoping to get cleaner bass and less distortion. It's on an Aba Plus soundbar and woofer kit I bought on Amazon.
Good work by the way
i want really really want those woofers, they are sooo nice!,,
Dayton Looks like have the same cuteness if the Canton.
I'm pretty sure they're the same series drivers that the DiamondBoxx boombox uses
what was the song
You could put al small speakers in an big casing or box and make like a big wall off small speakers
Looks like the DN105 has the most excursion for its size (middle one)
Y u no revealed recordings?
what is the song
What is the first sub that he was talking bout
Notification squad bro awesome vid jack 🤙🏼
When will we be seeing you back on the channel. Hope everything is ok. We need more of your content and what you up to bud
i know right we need him back
Yeeeeee
Give it give it up bro I can't wait for the next videos basis for Life bro I want to get ahold of Centos I want to get a whole set of those that mean ice
Will a pair of these work good for subwoofers? Wanting to build a hidden box under my drivers seat and have a limited amount of space, so I wanted to get a pair of the ND140-8 (wire them down to 4 ohms) in a, possibly, small ported box. Dimensions of the box is (LxWxH) 9 x 18 x 5 inches MAX.
Yes they will be fine
i really like dayton audio products
Doublsmm, Try to get the sundown audio z15
you should play the black and white on that lil but powerfull subs
You should do headphones or earbuds excursion.
I have the 3.5" klippel optimized and it still bumps on 15w
They are like mini sundown audio subs
You couldn't help it, could you? I know the feeling.
I want to put a pair of ND 105 in a jbl boombox and use low frequency mode all the time
can i use it as a subwoofer? please reply.
You can
And cool bass
If anyone replies to this I would be very grateful. I heard something pop from my pa amplifier. There was a tiny spark and smoke came out but the music was still playing and everything seemed normal. On my Samsung galaxy s6 there's a mixing device where you could add more bass and treble and I turned the bass all the way up on my phone and played it for a while; the gain was turned to 9 o'clock which isnt much. Do you think that was the cause?
That might be a blown capacitor, If your amp is a sony amp, then you can look for the specific part blown in the service manual and get the right info to buy a new cap, If not, well then check inside and try assembling the broken capacitor pieces until you can figure out what capacitor to replace it with. I would not recommend using the amp any longer now at the moment, and if your amp is a Dayton Audio plate amp, then disassembly might be needed just to find the blown part. You can help clarify this by linking a pic the amp's insides here.
I will need a better screw driver I'll have a picture by tomorrow thank u for ur fast reply though!
I was going to ask why there were washing machines there, until I realized
😂😂
Hey dude, im very new to making speakers and I'm looking to start building a Bluetooth boombox-ish speaker with maybe some 5 inch subs and I dont know if I should use these or if Ill look for some other speakers, any recommendations are much appreciated. And awesome vid man can't wait to see these as a whole system👍
Nacoda Ives these are very nice to use, only thing is that they only reach 83 desibels, wich is enough for a room, but outside, it will probably be a little too dim. Also, if you really are new, it would be just perfect to use a pair of coaxial car speakers, where you don't need to care about crossovers. Basically plug and play. Also, remember that everything has to be air tight to get the best sound possible. Happy building
Thr daytons would be a good driver tk use the DB that person quoted is the sensitivity .
Nacoda Ives you can definitely use these speakers, he actually has a video on building a Bluetooth speaker, but I don't think it's with these specific drivers, but you can use these and you would still hook it up the exact same way
Nacoda Ives < this is perfect for boombox project.
thats a neodynium (i dont know how to spell it) magnet??
Yes
Could you replace the drivers of the JBL Xtreme or Charge 3 for one of those drivers?
Atharva Bhambure no
@@jamalhalili2173 depends how much room there is and if the cutouts fit
@@enbee_ash6740 there’s rlly no point anyway. these drivers are a fair bit bigger, you’d likely loose the seal on your speaker if you did manage to get it in and it wouldn’t be tuned properly anymore :(
I want you to build a wall of 100 emac speakers and do a bass test
can I have the 3inch woofer?
RiskFX no
just baught 2 of the nd91s
Awesome....Please make them quickly.....i'm more eager then you are....
Why did they scratch a bit like the first driver was fine but the otherz were scratching did you overpower them bit or what also i watched on my laptop and phone cuz i was like dafuQ phones probably breaking but no?
Listening with some 192khz 24bit 7.1 headphones with custom EQ settings on my 192khz 7.1 mixer and I hear no scratching.
no look the scratching just sounds like he was giving the woofers a little too much power it couldve been the bass remember these smaller drivers aren't really made for 50-20hz im gonna rewatch and listen now on my two PA 15's if i still hear it then idk but i feel its just the drivers taking alot of bass nothing really wrong with the driver
RECREANT the microphone isn't designed to hear bass. The first one was fine because it wasn't deep enough
ahh no i was like idk why but its scratchy and even on my two 15's and a different amp it still sounds that way but meh we will hear them when the projects done in anyway
The scratchy sound is called intermodulation distortion and is caused by the speakers having to play bass and higher frequencies at the same time. Because these speakers play really clean it's very appearant. And because the bigger ones play bass better and aren't used for highs it's much more noticeable.
Thought that was a washer/dryer pair
What was the song that was used?
Nixon Plays DEAF KEV - Invicible
Thanks!
np
Omg them NEODYMIUM DRIVERS GOT ME DROOLIN
Not neodymium, neodidlyium
Fuckus you faaackk
I think it's time that we blow some more speakers and release some more shmoo. :'D
EU Groupbuy, thoes woofers chooches quite well
these little fuckers are skookum!!!
Its fricken neodymium
bro, i got a sick deal on some woofers in my country, i got 2x 12'' inch subs, 1x car amp and 3x subwoofer boxes for only 10 dollars!!!
What brand(s)?
a really heavy element from kenwood 12 inch and a little bit older 12 inch element i don't know the name of. really powerful amp, and one of the boxed weighed in about 30kg, quality!
Enjoy until you can bro. :D
The only problemis the neuidimium magnets lose they magnetic property around 80 degrees.
So if you pushing hard, it will die pretty fast.
But you know
Snoopy GaminG does it still have magnetic properties when it cools down
@@jamalhalili2173 Nope. Once neo speakers get warm. They dont play anymore. Dead magnets. That's why they mine for neodymium, because the stuff on the ground gets overheated from the sun & is useless
TheeJoeyLee interesting
Neodymium magnet speakers are about efficiency
These look the same that built in the diamond boxes
name 2 they kind of do
These are actually the same
2:57 little speaker
3:28 medium speaker
4:10 big speaker
I was the 2nd one video
Wah.. you have a lot of speakers, send to me some please.
Dayton vs Canton Video.
BollardSpeaker 26 yesssss pleaseeee
BollardSpeaker 26 I think they r the same in performance
PRESS 4 5 6 to hear the comparison between these drivers.. enjoy
, try using a plastic cup, or even a small cardboard box
Hello...
hmmm
???
I have noticed, the bigger the woofer the more scratchy...
Same motor, more moving mass and area of radiation. There's probably some break up in the larger ones. The 3 inch can be run full range if needed
Which is better for making a book shelf speakers pls answer the question
The scratchy sound is called intermodulation distortion and is caused by the speakers having to play bass and higher frequencies at the same time. Because these speakers play really clean it's very appearant. And because the bigger ones play bass better and aren't used for highs it's much more noticeable.
Doublsmm check out Kevin McCloud for some killer copyright free music with subwoofer worthy bass!
