I do believe that marriage is for the sake of family, which by extension means it's for the sake of the woman (the source of new life/family). The man's role is to support her. He was in charge of one of programs that help individuals with depression and day to day anxieties. He lived a good life (my view as a outsider.) had a loving wife and kids. It was shocking to everyone. Makes me think about the amount of pressure men are under on a daily.

The same way he had to unlearn how he treated women, he also needs to unlearn how he is in relationships and marriage. Society tries to make marriage centered on a woman’s happiness but with the right partner it will be an equal playing field. I believe in my husband being just as happy as I am and receiving just as much as I do. That’s how it should be. Plus we understand that our happiness doesn’t necessarily come from one another but starts within ourselves. So he’s not responsible for my happiness nor am I responsible for his. No matter what either of us do, you can never give another person happiness and peace within their own soul. They have to work on that individually.

This podcast made me look at marriage differently, I'm 21 years old right now and after hearing this and other testimonies from other men idk if I ever wanna get married now. There's no real benefit for a man in marriage, men have nothing to gain but everything to lose once he says "I do".

With enough experience I can say that the funny thing about this game is the chill, not clingy type aren't the 'superficially' attractive ones. Maybe because of the way society treats beautiful women from a young age, they don't do as much inner work, are more entitled in a way that they always want more, not just material but more attention, more mental presence to the point that you can't develop yourself as a man anymore, hate when something else gives you happiness instead of them like friends or even passions, hobbies. Now girls that are a little less attractive then them are often more well rounded, I've met beautiful women with their own inner happiness, that really don't need you to do anything for them like that but the love is real, appreciation of each others time, growing together and independently etc.. But as a man and the way society conditioned us, how hard you may try you will feel lust eventually for that 'video model' type, not saying you'll act on it but it's there. A rich high status man like Nick won't want be with anything else than a 10. Ego, the way it looks to the world. But you can't have it all.
Then He should just have a friend with benefits, also I have trouble believing MC was clingy with all the work and traveling she does.

Nick is alone, but he’s not lonely. It’s a good way to live. When he said he doesn’t want to be responsible for anyone’s happiness speaks volumes on the type of relationships he’s been in. People get into relationships and forget that they are their own person and how to maintain their happiness by themselves.
This is NOT about marriage at ALL. This is about POWER and CONTROL. He said, "I don't want to have to answer to anybody." That statement usually means 1 of 3 things or maybe even ALL 3. 1: I am a selfish person who does not desire to SHARE power AND control. 2: I am a person who I was either married or dated to a extraordinarily CONTROLLING and DEMANDING person to the point that I felt ABUSED and or NEGLECTED. If you're still in love with someone else but don't want to really admit it; you should come up will every illogical, contradictory explanation for why you don't want to get married again, but have no qualms with permanently attaching yourself, via children, to women you don't really want to be permanently attached to😉...
