Just a little heads up on some possible good news; when I was there a number of the professors at NYU posted previous EXAMS at the library under their name. Exams given after this often have a good number of the same questions. It may pay to check this out.
I got in ED and NYU just released the option for freshman to request/pick a roommate. I found someone I want to room with and we are both going to NYU Steinhardt. What dorm do you think is the best option if we want space, but also a lot of options?
I think Founders may have the best view, but it honestly depends on which floor you get. If you are not on a top floor in any of the buildings your view will mostly be the same. They don't all have dining halls, but I think Lipton has the best one. UHall is also right next to palladium dining hall. They are all convenient to go sightseeing. They are all located within the same area so its not a big factor difference.
Hi Sabrina! Thank you for this helpful video! I was wondering you still had the sheet where you ranked all of the dorms your first year, and if you could share that with us?
Alexander Estrella I’ve heard mixed opinions! Most people say though that it is the most social and they have found some of their best friends from living there. It is also very central
I just got into NYU like 2 weeks ago! I want to apply for a low cost housing plan in Rubin hall. I was told that because of this plan there's a good chance I would get a triple but I'm not sure If I want that. Do you know how spacious triple rooms are?
I know it’s like not the end of the world if you don’t get the dorm you want but if there is an actual problem with the roommate or if you get a dorm like Weinstein which has the blocks and is kinda not the best environment compared to other dorms do you know how the switching process is? Do you have to switch once you get to the school and see the dorm or can you switch earlier? Also after applying when do you find out which dorm building you got? Sorry for all the questions I’m just curious how that process works.
I think you can switch earlier, but I am not 100% positive. The process would be through bed-for-bed which you will see on your housing portal once you get assigned your dorm. It allows for you to connect with other students who want to switch and if you both agree, you fill out a form and begin the process. If the problem arises with your roommate when you are there, you can always talk to your RA and they are more than willing to help you navigate the process to switch rooms without going through bed-for-bed. I don't remember exactly when I found out I got my dorm freshman year, but I want to say maybe around July. Hope this helps :)
So I was looking at the NYU dorm costs chart, and I was wondering what does double in unit/ single in unit mean?! This might be such a dumb question, but I'm so confused.... double means two bedrooms in one whole room... so that might include 2 people or 4 people?
Double in unit would mean that you have a double room within your suite and a single in unit would mean you have a single in your suite. So for example, alumni would have a single in unit where you get your own room but have suitemates. They recently changed the listings I think because of COVID so I am not exactly sure on how they are coordinating all the suites now. I would also double check with NYU housing :)
BRO UHALL IS GAS, IM A FRESHMAN WITH A KITCHEN?!?!??!?! As somebody who saw the meal plan as a scam, im going to malewife for my whole ass suite... HOLD ON DADE!??!?!? BRO WHATS UP we need to work on spondeluxe
Another great video! Is Ruben the only freshman dorm without a/c? Do you know if Brittany, Founders or UHall have any singles even within a suite? Thanks!
Yes, Rubin is the only one without a/c. I believe they changed some things with rooms because of COVID but I believe UHall is the only one with a few singles out of those 3.
Yes! They are great, large, and it even has a gym in the building. The only drawback is that it is pretty far from campus. However, it is not for freshman.
Cool video 😍😍😍 You deserve way more subs. As a new UA-cam it's hard growing your channel you should check out a helpful video by GRIT&INTEGRITY called HOW TO GROW ON UA-cam (THE TRUTH). he really speaks from our perspective. Hope it helps and keep up the great work.

Does the price of the dorm varies depending on the location ?
Yes! NYU has low cost rooms as well. They have a list of all prices on the NYU site :)
Which NYU dorm have the most beautiful view ? Which have the best dining hall ? Which is more convenient for hang out or go sightseeing in

Hi! I am so glad it was helpful. Unfortunately, I don't have my original sheet anymore :(
What do you think about Rubin hall? Like what have you heard about the community if anything?
Alexander Estrella I’ve heard mixed opinions! Most people say though that it is the most social and they have found some of their best friends from living there. It is also very central

Yes! They are great, large, and it even has a gym in the building. The only drawback is that it is pretty far from campus. However, it is not for freshman.
