Cool review my friend! I've had my eye on this one myself. I plan to pick it up soon (I might even grab it today - Amazon U.S. actually has it, to my surprise). I love that Arrow appears to be putting out Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy on 4K. I never got the Cauldron Films release of this, so I was stoked to see Arrow giving this one the chunky box treatment. I already have House By the Cemetery in Arrow's chunky box (with comparable art), so I'm hoping after this we also get The Beyond in a chunky box. It would be great to have to whole trilogy in nice sets like these.

Made it more of a priority after your review.😆😉 I can't believe Amazon even had it... usually I have to go through OrbitDVD or Diabolik for UK-only Arrow releases. I'm not even necessarily the biggest Fulci fan (his style does get a little over-the-top for my tastes sometimes -- though I'm still fairly new to his work. I haven't seen that many of his films). But I really liked House by the Cemetery, and I definitely wanted the matching chunky box for City (even though I've never seen City or The Beyond before).

I saw your HT tour vid and what can I say, I'm spellbound, speechless 😮. It's incredibly amazing man!! I felt literally tiny, insignificant and like a novice when I saw your HT setup, much like witnessing mt everest in real. You appear to be so humble and modest that one could hardly guess what you own and the exhalted quality of your refined taste, and amount of experience and knowledge that you have in A/V systems. This is the way how movies should be enjoyed at home. I can now understand your 4k mania, lol 😅. Very well done and tastefully decorated to create the ambience of a real theatre. The attached restroom ( including shower facility) was an example of what craziest level an AV hobbyist's mind can reach. ( kidding, it was a compliment you can tell 😉). I too am into 3D movies; Have fairy good collection ( I'll not dare to boast about anything to you from now on😂). People who haven't experienced it on projector screen with active pair of 3D glasses will never know what it's like to experience real 3D movies ( not the fake 3D ones of course). I've some rare real 3D titles, will share the names with you). Thanks for sharing the vid, Appreciate it, way to go. 👍🏻

It’s truly a passion of mine and I’m glad that came through in the vid. To give me wife credit, she was the one who came up with the decor. The A/V…was all me 😉 I wish 3D got the attention it deserves because when done right, it’s REALLY cool. There was just so many BAD 3D Blu-ray’s when it blew up and every label was trying to do it (and most not well) taking “normal films filmed without 3D in mind” and trying to make them 3D. It ruined the whole experience IMO.
I have this and Cauldron 4K releases. Just had to have them both. Love this Fulci flick.
