Dont get me wrong i respect our boys overseas. If i ever see one in uniform i always thank them for their service and shake their hand. Especially if the served in Vietnam because we had no business being there. Its even been proven the Gulf of Tolkien incident was just a fake incident so we had an excuse to be involved. We are not the worlds police force. Id also like to point out many of these boys, yes i say boys because they havent even lived yet, were drafted and were told either you serve military or you serve jail time. Your choice. Dont get me wrong i love the United States. I wouldnt wanna wake up anywhere else in the world. But we need to start admitting when we have fucked up.

What he seen and still remembers still haunts him to this day. No only is he not able to forget the events if that day but he was welcomed home with hatred and persecution along with every soldier who came back. If you see a Vietnam veteran walk right up to them with your hand out and say welcome home. They were never welcomed home even after all these years.

If I can encourage anything........"Do WHATEVER you can to get your hands on the book "We Were Soldiers...Once And Young". The movie does not, nor could it, ever do it justice. These valiant men fought, bled and died for EACH OTHER. What they did is TRUE heroism and they did it for one another and to stay alive. That same spirit existed in the Revolutionary War and it still exists today. Skin color and politics aside, our men and women in uniform are truly brothers and sisters in arms when the SHTF. When a police officer is in trouble, they don't care what color, nationality or political persuasion the officer arriving on scene is. When a firefighter issues a "Mayday" because they are trapped, they don't care who is coming to their aid. Too many Americans have lost sight of the fact that we NEED EACH OTHER and when we are in distress, we will welcome any help. That's part of what I don't get about the Anti-Police movement. If you don't like law enforcement officers and you are about to get car jacked, mugged, raped or murdered, or your your child is about to be victimized or kidnapped, what are you going to do? Do you hate LE so much that you are willing to sacrifice your child or your own life just to make a statement? I don't get it.

I look at this movie AS GREAT. At least the story was told unlike all the FAKE NEWS. These US Soldiers are HEROES to me, what they did and the HONOR. BTW, this is factual. All the GRAY PLANES ARE NAVY and GREEN ARE USAF. Figure it out real quick. THE NAVY was doing all the low level, making sure we DIDN'T DROP ON FRIENDLY. I knew 5 men in Vietnam, and everyone of them said. USAF dropped on Friendly ALL THE TIME.

A true soldier hates war it is the last option because Soldiers know the true cost of it. In lives lost wounds and both physical and phycology that never heal. Old men start wars young men fight them. And the worse of the bunch are those who profit off the carnage. War is a Necessary to be so Prepared and to make it so horrifying that know one would start one. Just because they know the destruction that would occur on both sides

I saw a B1 practice a bombing run on a mock convoy. It dropped these bombs on parachutes that explode mid air, looks like a mushroom when it goes of, the explosion is directed towards the ground with the Shockwave pulverizing everything below it. It dropped these bombs the length of the convoy. It was so fast, it looked like an alien weapon blitzing past. Scared the hell out of me. Modern air power is absolutely insane.

I served as a marine 14 years mainly in Afghanistan, other places to, but when we abandoned Bagram for Kabul Airport 4 days before 13 of my fellow marines were killed I said in a chat broken arrow. I wish I was wrong. But I knew I wasn't. What commander allows his men to be surrounded by the enemy? And takes Joe's word for it that no they'll be fine. Joe has never had a shot fired at him by the enemy. He does not understand their nature among many other things. I would have never put my boys in that position, ever.
