I actually thought Auguste Rodin would be out of the first three. His performance here was a big improvement from his previous outing. White Birch will be a serious player in Group 1 races over 10 &12 furlongs this season.
Aidan O'Brien horses are usually quite poor on seasonal debut and Auguste Rodin especially so, therefore you can chalk 2 of his 4 losses to that. He ran no race in the King George VI but got beaten fair and square here, but was always likely to be top 2 at least
@@robertdelacy3434 Oisin Murphy with his substance abuse don't think so. Dylan probably one day but if the job became available next season doubt they would go with him over Keane. Rossa Ryan has just the one group 1 win so far in his career so I'd love to know why you think he would get the job over Keane.
I had high hopes for White Birch last year but he wasn't quite up to it. NOW he is a big boy and looked every inch the Superstar here. Bring on the King George !!
I backed him in two Derbies last year and didn't think he would win a group two afterwards, even when he won his last race which was a group two, I thought he had fluked it, there's certainly no fluke about this win, he looks very good.
First two are very good horses, no doubt. White Birch's best trip may well be the 10 furlongs, and for Auguste Rodin a mile and a half may now be needed. I don't buy the excuse he needs good ground, his 2YO G1 win in the Vertem Futurity was achieved in bottomless ground. I think the best horse over this distance won the race.
I couldn’t write off Auguste Rodin. Done it before and needs more races to judge him this season. Can’t write him off. That said, great to see a much improved 4yo
Clueless saved me. As soon as I saw he was supporting City of Troy and then Auguste Rodin I knew new to avoid at all costs. He could stop a train with his tips.

Definitely showed last year he had the ability to be a good horse, was too far back in the derby and was hampered in the Irish. Looked to have improved massively this year aswell in his first couple of races.
White birch looks the finished article now . Will be a tough horse to beat in middle distance races this season . Second ran well but not in winners class .

Congratulations owners, trainers, jockey and horse. Great win. Best of luck in future whatever you all decide to do.
No excuses for Auguste Rodin. He was beaten, fair and square. Could see White Birch running a big race in the King George
