We always carry 2 one gallon jugs to fill from campground spigot. We use ones that held Arizona Tea drink because they have a large mouths and nice handles. We use these for drinking water and dish washing.
2 is a good idea! We finally bought a big container this year to make it easier to fill from spigots as well and wish we had bought one sooner to have just incase. Nice to just fill it and have it around for drinking water even without having to run inside and use the water pump and make noise for Chloe sometimes even. Every year we learn a little more and start adding a few new things a helpful tricks/items it seems haha. Hope next year's season can be as big and fun as this one 🍁
Your videos are always fun to watch and follow! On the batteries, something to think about we have a new 2022 Jayco (purchased in 2021) and they didn't come with power centers that will fully charge lithium batteries. They only started to ship trailers with the compatible ones sometime this year. This might be why you cannot get them back up to 100% while using the generator. If you have any solar that will help or top them off. The only other way to fully charge is to swap out the converter or buy a separate lithium compatible charger.
We love your videos and follow you every week. For your drinking water fill you could use a water meter sold on amazon so you would know how much water is going in your tank. A question, what is the brand and type of tires on your trailer?
It's a nice one hey Lori! Having some technical difficulties but still trying to get today's video out later than never at least! Big hike rematch and Chloe officially walking to share 😀🍁
As far as the truck charging the trailer batteries. Our new truck had too small of gauge wire going to trailer plug. Husband replace and our batteries charge now. We’d have someone check your water tank or get advice from a forum because draining of the tank isn’t normal. By the way we sure enjoy your videos.
Thanks guys! Changing wires sound interesting, that sure would be helpful. We really loved that about our motorhome always showing up to our next location topped off rather than taking depleted batteries from one location to the next. Wouldn't be as much of an issue if we were just a weekend family but for long trips it does make a difference! Cheers guys and new video incoming soon today! 🍁
Our 5th wheel had the same overflow "siphoning" problem, we would get to our campsite and there would be a fraction of the water left. We put a water gauge on our hose so when filling we know exactly how many gallons of water we put into the tank ( we travel with 20 gallons) then top up before we get to the campground if boondocking. Also people have put a SharkBite stop valve on the end of the overflow hose but must remember to open it again before using your water.
We originally wanted to do the sharkbite option, but then had heard it might void warranties so never bothered. Our water system is gravity fed with air vents on the top as well compared to some closed in fifth wheel style ones so imagine it wouldn't be an issue, but have checked further yet. So far we havent ran out yet at least haha. Thanks guys! 🍁
Hi Luke and Alysha, just discovered your UA-cam channel and really enjoying all your videos! Curious…. Where did you get the plumbing piece with shut off that you’ve added to your white fresh water hose? Did you buy it at an RV supply store, plumbing outlet or did you put it together yourselves? I’ve never seen one like that before. Thx, 😊
Great video! I look forward to your videos each week .
Thanks Gary! New one incoming soon just a few technical difficulites at the moment haha 🍁

Hey there! We swapped out the converter yup. Thanks for watchin'! 🍁
Absolutely beautiful area, they say if you sit real still on a warm day, you might catch the wood nymphs and the fairy king, hunting for mushrooms!
Chloe is so cute!

Thanks for watching guys! The tires are a Wrangler AT! 🍁
