Love these videos. You do such great work!!!
Thanks Daniel. Glad you like them.
@@ArtofTaxidermy where are you located and do you ship? I have birds mounted every year.
A series like this with a gobbler would be awesome, Nice work!!
Soon
Great work man , just frikin great !
Thank you very much.
Hello congratulations on your fantastic work,
Cheers
Good job that looks good
Thx
Absolutely fantastic work! I noticed in the prior video there was an incision to remove meat from the Ulna/Radius bone area. I am starting my first goose and I’m unable to invert beyond the Humerus bone. Do you have and video segment I could watch about making that initial cut/ cleaning the cavity out? I assume its pretty straight forward but this was a great clean kill bird and want to limit my experimenting. I appreciate your help or recommendations (if I missed it I apologize).
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The incision under the wing is needed if it’s going to be a standing bird. If flying you will be better off inverting it all the way. But in any case the incision is a straight line between the two bones in the middle of the downy skin , I will show that in future videos. I did post some videos of skinning a hawk in membership zone though, it’s a different bird but same technique. Also look under my waterfowl playlist and look for the black duck taxidermy.
@@ArtofTaxidermy Thank you for the reply, I completed my goose and I’m happy to say it looks darn good borderline great! I don’t know how to post or get you a picture or two of it but your videos really helped. Your tutorials are fantastic, thank you again.
@@williambrown-wt7oc Im glad to hear that William.. happy to hear the videos are helpful.. if you can post the photos on your social media, then you send me a link on here.
beautiful work. could you do a video when putting the forum and wiring the wings and legs and neck all in one? keep up the good work
Hi Ragin... thanks for your comment.. Do you mean to have all the 4 parts in one? if thats what you mean, it would be a VERY long video and close to an hour or so.. it would be hard to upload and Im afraid it would be boring to watch.. but you know what.. I can try it once and see how it goes..
Tedious work .. but man you do some nice work ..
Thanks for watching. All the best.
OK... I Have 1 SERIOUS Question for you!!! Was THIS CANADA GOOSE Shot in CANADA?? :D

@@ArtofTaxidermy :P
ok perfect that I will reduce the time in the bathroom, thank you very much for your answer., Greetings ☺️👌👌
You are welcome 😁
hello a question when I put for example a partridge in the tanning in warm water sometimes the skin falls off a little on the outside it is because the water is warm it is better to put it when the water is
Thank you
How long do you soak the skin for ?
Sir, where can I buy artificial eyes, and do you use kaolin clay to install them?
you can google Eyes for Taxidermy online there are different places you can buy eyes from. and you can use oil base clay or water base clay.
What size neck foam for a goose 1”?
I usually get a 2” diameter down and carve/grind it down to match the real neck. I prefer it this way because the goose neck on both ends have different diameter than the middle. So a straight neck let’s say a 1.5” around the middle , won’t be as accurate.
@@ArtofTaxidermy I dig it
Hello, I'll leave it for 4 hours
Some birds have more sensitive skins than others. The outer skin flakes that you are talking about although it doesn’t harm the mount most the time but it’s an indicator of being soaked too much. I have had that happening to me a lot , I’d mark down those skins and either reduce the time of soaking into 3 or 2 hours or don’t soak them and just dry borax afterward.
