Enjoying watching and being re inspired by your videos . Please could you show the eye modelling and where you add the caulking when mounting . Keep up the good work
HI Gary, sure will... The videos I uplaod are a few months old and that tells you how backed up I am in editing my videos... but for sure Im trying to add more and more to each video as I go forward ... I have a few waterfowl mounts coming up.. Ill make a note to show eye modelling and calking. stay tuned. thanks for watching.
VERY COOL! I find waterfowl very challenging! Especially Degreasing, fleshing, tanning. I tan my birds 🐦 typically. Anything bigger than a pheasant. How do you preserve bird skins??
I see the bird is still somewhat wet from washing when starting to mount. Benefits from doing this semi wet vs drying it fully first? This for sewing purposes?
Most people prefer to fully dry the feathers before starting to mount, that’s how I did it for years before changing to wet method. Wet method keep the moisture in the skin much longer and I see better what I’m doing.

is the green stuff to hold the wings in place for drying a type of tape?
Yes. It’s a tape.
@@ArtofTaxidermy Thank you, starting my first taxidermy of a Green Wing Teal soon, can you PM me what type?
@@Tiggitytye how did your first taxidermy turn out
@@colton6035 Did my kids first shoveler drake she shot. For a first it turned out ok, should of spent more time preening.
