Yeah, fixed an older 20" Poulan reed valve for a neighbor. Like Homelite back in the day, Poulan made powerful, high quality saws. Now, sadly, both are big box, entry level brands.
That sounds really good for a fifty year old saw, in fact it sounds better than some modern saws. I can see you loading Frank up with the chainsaw and axe and heading to the woods for a days cutting ! Great job Bruce
I sure did. Olivia Newton Pender has appeared many times on this channel. As well as Elvis Aaron Pender and his hit “Return to Pender” and even occasional appearances of Johnny Pender-Cash.
Love the before shot. That saw has come a long way and now sounds like new. We have to give er a test on a log next. Definitely have to grit your teeth to pull that cord and best to be a lefty. Thanks Bruce. Stevo
The red ECHO engine oil is a new discovery to me. Chicanic highly recommended it. After a days using the 45cc old metal body , the thing went from two pull start to a one pull start.
There are pieces of an XL in this one. Here is an early video of the project. Have you subbed? I just need 7 more to get to 45,000 ua-cam.com/video/3G1t-DIVJDc/v-deo.html
How's she goin'? Old saws never ran well. You have this old bird running pretty decent. I like the shape of the bar on this saw. Looks beefy ad ready to cut down a tree!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Awesome video thank you for the video I had a question Mr Craftsman since you know a lot about Craftsman products I have a GT 6000 manual garden tractor I was wondering if you knew anything about what oil would go in the rear end what Spark plugs it would take and if you didn't know that's no problem thank you anyways
First sign of a heart attack in men is a sore left arm so i am thinking you may get confused when you wake up tomorrow eh? Good think you are a lefty, nice to see this old machine up and running Bruce.
Hey Bruce, Chris here nice to have met up with you in Bucerias a few days ago. I’m not sure how to private message you, unless you have instagram or other social media platforms.
Love the old Homeys! I have (4) right now. All from the original owners, all run. Nothing like the sound of a reed-valved Homey!
Couldn't agree more!
