@@olee3883 yeah exactly I mean when i was younger I was just obsessed with the pound not and was willing to sacrifice anything for it even my soul so to speak. Then I realised that following your aspirations or something that has far more meaning than just money will ironically end up bringing more money and opportunities than it did before 😄 law of nature I guess 🤷♂️😄

@@epicmafia2046 yeah the 2.4km run wasn’t as bad as I thought it was so don’t worry too much about it should be piss if you are already fit. Yeah it was a very weird experience to be recognised as much as I did, mainly because of the unknowing of how many people watched my videos who went to Halton. It was every intake from old to new it was crazy but the great thing about it was how positive the interactions were and all of them said that the videos helped them in one way or another so it was an incredible feeling that I cannot explain 🙂 but grateful to experience it.

@@JakeGchannel I live about 10/15 minute drive away in a small village (though rapidly growing 😞) not far from the town of Wellington. We usually visit cosford a few times a year when I take my younger kids to have a look around the museums, as it’s a great free day out. We also go for Sunday dinner at the garden centre (next to the base) as they do a great carvery.
If I do happen to see you out and about I may pluck up the courage to say hi 🙈
@@mkjones7603 oh I see and I heard cosford had a museum but I didn’t know it was open to the public like Halton, they have a museum on base but it’s not open to the public. Oh I do love a carvery, I would you assume you would recommend the garden center? Need to know where to get a pick me up when needed 😄 Yeah defo no pressure 😄
@@JakeGchannel yeah it’s a big museum 3/4 hangers and a play park for the kids. Yes we like the garden centre and I think (but not 100% sure) the carvery is on every day? It can be a bit on the pricey side, as with most garden centres but, relatively good. If you need any advice on where is decent to go just ask, but I’m sure you will soon get to know the surrounding area.
@@mkjones7603 Yeah that's true London prices ain't much different to be honest. Will do but I think (like you say) in those 10 months I will find the best stuff locally especially take-aways as they are the bane of my life XD

Woah I’m early, massive well done on hitting 500 subs pal I finally stopped procrastinating and reopened my application lol luckily everything is still in date (Score) I wish I could have said hello but I had vw before your intake arrived but hopefully in service life we cross paths

I’m confident you’ll griz it out and just always remember, whenever you pass the parade square or look at it just think I’ll be there at some point graduating out of here, seems like fairytale when shit gets hard but when you’re on there in your 1’s and your family are looking at you, I can’t express how good the feeling is. Well done and good luck keep us informed with how it goes and I will defo see you at some point in our career 👍

Did you ever feel like because of the videos you've made about your journey you cannot fail training? like any sense of pressure to succeed after your videos?
Im currently waiting for my TMU status to get cleared up, great videos btw and congrats on passing
@@j8j8j8j8j8j8j8j813 A great question and to some extent yes. Although I was majorly oblivious to the extent of how many people was watching them but I knew there were people who are watching them and to some extent maybe look up or gain motivation to continue or fuel their confidence to apply via seeing the success I had. When the times got difficult for me in training and the application process I almost added more pressure telling myself things like ‘if I fail then everyone fails who watch the videos’, ‘my daughter won’t have a home’, ‘she’ll look up to me as a failure’ heavy things like that even though most were probably not true it gave me a strong desire to push my limits possible and gain the best outcome possible.
In a nutshell yes it did and I attribute my success in training and the application process to the people on this channel as well as my family.

yeah me too mate, passed it a couple weeks ago and not sure what’s happening, not heard anything back yet either
@@WOT_FinleyMac I was told about security checks from my recruiter and he said he’d get them done asap and keep me updated but haven’t heard anything. However I did go away for a week and only got back yesterday
@@droxz5182 ohh right yeah, i’m guessing that could take a fair while tbf, i haven’t asked my recruiter yet but im not sure if it’s worth a mention as im not sure how long it’s meant to take
@@droxz5182 yes you have a security check then when that is done its basically a zoom call with the flight staff talking about Halton facilities etc but you need to get your start date I believe. In a nutshell you have passed the application process! Unless it’s changed since I did it but I don’t think so. Give it a week or two (if you have only just passed it) then maybe message your recruiter to have an update. Hope this helps 🙂

How long is there between passing out and starting phase two
@@alexmanning3540 it depends on what trade you’re going in. I had one guy start like 4 days after graduating and one other girl who is going to wait till November before starting. Personally for me its take me like 4 weeks.
When's your phase 2 starting pal?
