Got my medical now in two weeks, smashed the filter interview thanks for the help with that helped a lot!
Ah that's great to hear! And that was all you well done and keep trying before you know it you'll be going to basic training.
Glad it’s sorted for you, had my medical day and need to get a couple bits from the doctors so similar position to you
Yeah well hopefully your doctors don't take the micky like mine did XD but never mind it's done now and waiting for them to confirm it as mine has been posted instead of emailed.
@@JakeGchanneldid capita send it the email straight to your doctors? I assume they do and how long did you give it till you started nagging them?
@@loualdo Yeah they sent it like 6/7 days after the medical check. They send you an email before hand stating what they will be sending to your doctors (well mine did anyway) I waited till Capita emailed me stating they haven't 'heard a response from your doctors' then I basically called them up from that point on and I think that was like two weeks after they send the email I think.
@@JakeGchannel I’ll hang on then. Did go to the doctors but don’t think they really understood, I’ll try talk to my recruiter
@@loualdo Yeah that's odd. What might be best is to get the email which Capita will send to your GP and print it off and taking it in to the surgery.
Hi Jake, hope you are well.
I’ve completed my DAA and passed my interview. I’m waiting for my medical date however I believe I may be deemed TMU due to having tablets last year for a stomach issue. I’m curious as to how long it was from you been made TMU to when you were cleared for the medical to move onto fitness?
Also, would you have any advice to possibly make this quicker for example, contacting my GP to get them to write a note saying it was a 1 off thing or anything like that?
Any info would be great.

It took me a while from September to December/January for everything to go through. I did contact my doctors every so often but whether this helped with speeding it up I cannot say for certain. It’s possible for you to get them to write a letter saying that however, my depression pills I only took two and they still wanted my medical report on it.
Best thing to do is just stand fast, if they do want medical documents then they will come through as some point and the best thing I would say to do is be really nice to the receptionist I basically praised them like crazy (not weird or cringey obviously) and they went above and beyond to try to get my documents over. Hope this helps.
Hi mate I passed my medical yesterday, where are you at now with the enrolment process?
That's great! I am currently waiting for a fitness date to come through, had an injury in December which pushed everything back but just got a letter through today stating it's all green so again just waiting for a fitness date. Have you got one yet?
@@JakeGchannel Nice one, that’s good you got the go ahead mate glad to hear it 👌 na I don’t have a date yet I have abit of swelling on my big toe (right foot) from football so when that’s healed and they’ve seen it I’ll get a date for the fitness bit shitty timing tbh but oh well the actual medical though I completed and passed just that temporary setback till it’s healed
@@epicmafia2046 Yeah same here but that's good hopefully it's healing well and it comes around quick for you. Almost at the last stretch! Then the real hard work begins XD Keep us posted.
@@JakeGchannel yeah it’s not too bad really I got a doctors appointment Monday just to check it over take some antibiotics etc but I’m sure it’ll heal naturally soon just wanna prevent infection cos that’ll be a pain in the arse lol, will do buddy 💪 been on the treadmill and stuff to get used to it as never been on 1 prior to enrolling aha
@@epicmafia2046 Yeah might be worth getting that sorted asap! Don't want it getting any worse. Yeah it's something to get used to just remember if your treadmill is set on Kmph instead of mph then 13.5 speed will get you to 2.4km in around 10 min 40 odd seconds so use that as a baseline whether you want to push further to achieve better or not.

Hi and yes I'm still waiting for my medical response as it's now going through 'phase 2' of checking which is mad but hey ho so should have a response on the 30th but tonight or tomorrow I'll do the vid
@@JakeGchannel thanks so much, I just passed my medical today on my fourth attempt, took me 9 months to get to this stage and my fitness test is in 2 weeks but I’m not sure if I’m ready. Good luck though.
@@DonutTeaBagle Oh really what did you not pass in? Oh that's crazy! I think mine has been 6 months when the careers lady said it'll be 6 weeks from beginning to basic training XD got that one way wrong. Well if you've put the work in then you'll pass I'm sure of it.

i have only failed my medical 3 times. i have yet to do a fitness test but i have it soon. i will have to wait and see. ill watch your new video later. thanks for the response @@JakeGchannel
I passed my selection interview for the RAF and the recruiter was impressed by my high level of answering, now I got medical and fitness tests to do, thank you for helping me pass the interview 🫡
I appreciate the comment but that was all you I just gave you the potential tools to help. Well done you should be proud of yourself :)
