Pink Floyd - Live in Gelsenkirchen 1994 (Restored Video Hi8, Highest Quality Recording )

This is the ultimate audience recording that I came across from the Division Bell tour. I am not a hardcore PF fan, but of all the audience videos I've seen, none came close to this one. There are several reasons for that. First of all, the camera was using Video Hi8 format, which rivaled the cheaper VHS-C standard at the time. Secondly, it's a transfer from the actual master tape and not a copy of a copy. Third, the audio on this recording captured the live sound exceptionally well. Unlike the official recordings, you can actually feel the ambience/outdoor vibe here. And finally, the location of the taper allowed him to perfectly capture the stage. All in all, I simply couldn't pass the opportunity to rework it to HD using AI algorithms and a lot of manual fine-tuning. I managed to reduce the noise and upscale it without distorting the original. I believe this is as good as it can get. If you have other recordings like this, I'd be happy to take a look and see what can be done.

I've been to both The Delicate Sound of Thunder and Pulse concerts. And the intro ambience that blared throughout the entire sound system was as memorable as the shows themselves. If anything, it set the stage (no pun intended) for the auditory splendor to follow, pumped you up. So atmospheric.

Unbelievable crispy for an analog consumer recording ! Yeah, this could be the best audience video footage of the DB tour outhere. Emotionally is miles better than PULSE official video. Thanks a lot.

Давно уже не мальчик. Слушал в конце 70х многие группы на "Романтике" в дровенике. Папа был в партии, дома не разрешали. Писали у Валерки (ночами)дома с винила по четыре мага одновременно. И вот на дворе 2022 год, а эта музыка рвёт душу. И не только эта. Наши рокеры тоже давали жару и дают. Но то, что Гилмор творит не поддаётся словам. Продолжив идею Сида и Уотерса творил мега музыку. Смотрел и слушал Пульс на подаренном диске. Класс. Но живой концерт это просто чудо.

Wow the closing chord / note for "Run Like Hell" lasted for a COMPLETE minute from 2:49:05 which is amazing and appears record-breaking!
Absolutely enjoyed the show and the only gripes I had was the fact he didn't show anything during the intro effects (felt he had to hide the camera obviously) and I would have preferred no zooming in at all!

@@dennisneo1608 from what Ive read there were plans for Australia and Japan but DG was too tired to tour more. Europe and US were usually their standard touring destinations.
