I miss when you would do a Ringer watch party and react live. It was my favorite way to watch the draft
Yup, that Luka draft with the rest of the crew is fucking GOATED.
100% Luka draft was like a real ringer party for the fans
They're mostly still doing remote work rn. Obviously they could've reconveyed but most of the O.G. Ringer staffers already left.
🤜🏽🤛🏽💯🫡
@@jakecarnell93it was great viewing. Maybe not enough hysteria around this draft although it is still interesting
Gronk with blown out MCL or ACL going an extra 10 yards is a crazy comparison to an NBA lottery pick(19:25) 😅😅😅😅 Fucking love these two and their chemistry!
Bill saying he is 'hesitant' to call dudes busts or stars is LAUGHABLE.
Why? This is weak draft and its hard to guage anyones potential
He means in the context of the draft not being as high quad usual.
Rusillo at 1:01:00 showing his emotional growth - regailing us of him and the dudes late night shirt-cocking in his crazy collection of obscure jerseys. He's come a long way
The Blazers had a great night
Can’t remember the last time as a blazers fan I had a great night 😅😂
@@joshuacampbell6212 you mean you didn’t enjoy watching Justin minaya last season? 😂 I’m so excited to watch scoot and clingan bring us out the darkness
@@wdaniel891Deni has a ton of upside too. Never thought I’d say that two years ago. Semi breakout last year
@@therealmvp1024 right that was such a good pick up, I couldn’t believe his contract too. I think he fits in great with the young core.
They did not trade worthless Deandre Ayton so it was not a good night. But since he is worthless we are stuck with him forever.
Minnesota prioritized scoring and both have the athleticism to at least become solid defenders. Rob’s athleticism is underrated, he is 6’1 doing eastbays off one leg
37 minutes and still haven’t mentioned knect to LA this is insane
They from Boston! They don’t like when the Lakers do good
Best duo in bball
Reaves/Knecht?
Giddey/Benny?
Simmons/Russillo 💯
Bronny / LeBron?
28:40 I had Edey at #9 for +1600 on Draftkings for this exact reason😂 i can’t believe it actually worked
Baylor Scheierman rocks
Knecht better 💛💜💛💜
Go Wolves🎉
Post ups are like body blows... They take effect at the end of games when people are off the floor due to foul trouble. I would have loved for the Lakers to get the kid from Purdue
Stoked on the night the Jazz had. Never seen the fan base agree on this much.
Serbian Nikola Topic to OKC the top play maker in this draft. OKC stacked.
He tore his ACL. Out for a year
Harrison Ingram is still a huge sleeper
So odd. Basically, France, U Conn and Kentucky was the top of the draft.
How long did the dropped live video feed (soon after it started) last?
Seeing Bill get excited over a creighton guy made my night..
What if shaedon sharpe takes a huge step like ant and pg did this year and we get Deni in the playoffs!
Lfg timberwolves
NGL I want to see what these three wizards picks can do next year. And I'm not intrigued by Coulibaly hes just not very good and was a bad pick as far as Im concerned
Washington catching strays
as a wizards fan its pretty tough when Bills ALWAYS finding a way to throw a wizards jab in🤦🏽♂️😂
44:23 If Knecht doesn't choose #4, I'll be extremely disappointed. If Byron Scott retired #4, ignore this
So many possibilities with the play-by-play calls.
@@jdankerdake yes! I hadn't even thought it through that far. Good observation 👍
literally watched this for the portland content that was sped up through thanks.....
I'm so annoyed Pameco Dattier went to the knicks I wanted him on the warriors so bad smh I did not think he'd have gone first round
LAKERS got the steal of the draft! Dalton Knecht 💛💜💛💜
Thank you for nice McCain pick. His tik tok real got me iffy
Simmons is getting old and washed.
Conspiracy Bill would have said that Adam Silver has dirt on all the owners / GMs. And, they are negotiating a French TV NBA deal. Forced a few owners to pick the French guys high up on the draft..
Naz Reid
Presti W
2016 retro looking Final Four Houston stitched sweater never getting it back girl lives 72 miles away….
San Antonio won the draft. Trading the eighth pick to get two swings in the first round of probably better future drafts.
It's one pick. The other is a protected swap
@@joh09503 Yes. It's essentially two swings.
@@KK-pm7ud wolves will have prime ant. It's one swing and MAYBE moving up from 28 to 25 in the 2030 draft
@@joh09503 One of the picks will be in the top 10 probably. And if so, that's higher value to the Spurs because it'll be in a way better draft and when Wembenyama is in his prime.
@@KK-pm7ud in what world is a 30 year old Ant Edwards team ending with a top 10 pick? Your spurs got fleeced. Stop coping
So pissed about the Kings. Taking another 6’2 guard is just insane to me.
How does he help Fox and Domas? They need wings and rim protection. They need defence
The Kings got the best defender in the Draft, a great rebounder & considered the highest character, hardest worker out there.
@@kevinscott9242 he’s 6’2, played for a mediocre school and got the ball a lot.
He’s not an elite scorer and this is one of the worst drafts in NBA history.
We did not need a small guard when we’re trying to win. We need long athletic wings that can defend and we need rim protection.
Fox, Monk, Huerter, Ellis, Davion, Jones. We got guards
@@BWalker9313you know you can acquire players through trades?
@@kb5509 so what’s the point of drafting this kid if we could just trade the pick for guys that can win now?
We don’t have a ton of salary for FA signings, and who really wants Barnes and Huerter? Nobody.
They took on ball defence.
Richashe is Darko Milichich 2.0
Imo the Lakers got great value w/ DK @#17 - Austin Reaves @ worst , klay Thompson @ if reaches his potential & Luka if he maxes out & goes above & beyond - sec was a tough defensive conference & he shredded everyone , my hope would be for him to go HAM & lakers could get a kings ransom trading AR B4 trade deadline - imo ar & DK on floor would be too much a defensive liability - I guess I'm in the minority I think gm RP is a good GM & last season when healthy on paper Lakers had a top 5 roster 1-10 , DK is older & can play immediately & can def strike the 3 & imo coach JJ can run plays for him like what were run for him , ray Allen & klay/Steph - he also has an above avg mid range game, alot of critics on Lakers chat that say he needs to play better D , better hops & stronger muscular physique, BUT if he had all those things he would be a top five if number one pick so lakers wouldn't have had the opportunity to draft him at #17
The heat won the draft
58:23 is Celtics pick
Where is the Lakers pick?
I totally agree on the “W” as wing thing. Bill’s been an analyst for decades and it’s even confusing for him.
NBA is so tough since only 8-9 guys really matter. In order from memory:
Tatum (Brown), Jokic, Steph, Giannis, Lebron, Kawhi, Steph / KD, Lebron, Steph, Duncan, Lebron and Co, Dirk, Kobe, Duncan, Pierce / Garnett, Duncan, Wade / Shaq, Duncan, "Pistons"...
Really need at least 1 superstar and generally 2. All these role player type guys are nice, but none of them are going to lead a team to a title.
Few years from now Clingan at 7 is gonna be looked back at as the best pick
You guys are clueless on the trades. No one could help u figure it out?
"I'm holding out hope for Ivey." = Tell me you don't watch Detroit without telling me you don't watch Detroit.
Monty is the scapegoat on his development though...that being said, I don't know who will be blamed when it's January and he's rocking the 43/31/75% shooting splits. 😉
Who would willingly watch Detroit this season just past, besides Detroit fans?
No one watches Detroit.
It's interesting to observe the stupidity of the responses to this post.
bill its the nba everyone has irrational confidence or else they wouldn't have made it to the league
Lol thats not how it works. Im not sure you even understand what irrational means
nobody cares abt the draft
False real hoop fans do
@@danedavenport5722 not sure about that. But its fun to speculate.
I thought TyTy Washington was gonna be the sleeper pick a couple years ago. He has been MIA in the NBA since.

The chemistry you two have talking about anything is so enjoyable. Always my favorite episodes
Like Dillingham with Ant too .. same swag
The wolves robbed the spurs. A swap in 2030 and a pick in 2031. Didn't even give up the 27 pick.
@@Dr.Megladon I'm bummed Dillingham won't be a Spur, but no one will care if the Spurs flip those firsts for an impact player and/or leave space for a big FA to pair with Wemby.
I have this on max volume on a speaker and still can barely hear rusillos mumbles
Funny to think about last jerseys and being old lolol. Me? Dwade Marquette, Kobe Lakers into his tenure, JKidd Mavs from rookie year. Not counting throwbacks of course.
Of all the jokes we make about Bills drafts I don’t think anybody loves them more than Ryen.
Funny as hell episode
Good stream
In fairness to Risacher being "not a great athlete, but athletic", " not really a creator", and not an incredible defensive player ...
All of that describes Jayson Tatum as a prospect.
Tatum's selling point was basically isolation scoring and now he's primarily a straight line drive and step back guy.
Tatum is really the blueprint for both Risacher and Salaun that if you have a big wing who can shoot, you can build out the rest of his game because that combination of size, fluid athleticism and touch is really easy to build around
But every guy in the top 13 is kind of boom or bust except Clingan
Shout out Chris Herron
Jazz won the draft
6:45 Anthony Edwards could leave Minnesota. Even if he does stay. Perhaps Minnesota continues their tradition of screwing up good situations. Where maybe this lose in a 2030 play in & have to swap the 15th pick for Spurs 30th?
Late Night Bill is too groggy to understand the basic concept of swap rights… the better you expect your team to be, the more valuable they are, which is the opposite of what he implied lol
Or Wemby's 7' 4" legs could snap in two. Or Pop runs Wemby out of town, like he did Kawhi.
Wouldn't be surprised if Presti is going the route of a MLB system with a new CBA. Draft for upside & give a few years to develop and reach their potential, hopefully.
Would makes sense given how stingy he seems to be when giving up picks & the small market they are in.
Considering he wanted a future backup PG - or perhaps a different starting option next to Shai - I like the choices, even if they don't pan out.
Detroit tried to move back but didn’t get anything interesting, is what Trajan said during the presser. The calls dried up before the pick was on Detroit.
Trajan also had to go off what the previous regime had ranked players in the draft. Next years draft is what I’m more interested in.
I’m sorry but calling Topic someone that OKC can stick in the corner & hit some 3’s is ridiculous.
Bill really doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about sometimes.
Someone help me out. The Spurs, who sucked last year, gave away the number 8 pick for a draft pick and a swap 7 years from now. They could not find anyone at 8 who could help the team in the next couple of years? It is like they did not want anyone in the draft.
Well to their credit this is one of the weaker drafts in recent memory, so I guess there is a chance they didn't want anyone from this draft (aside from Sarr , I think they would've liked to have him). 🤷
Maintaining assets throughout Wembys career will be how they win multiple titles. They either trade the picks or have high picks in Wembys prime
I think they were hoping for Salaun to be there at 8 and if not, move out as we saw. They already have a roster full of young guys and I imagine they'll use those far away picks to build around Wemby.
I still do not get it. Minnesota is probably going to be good team for a while provided Edwards stays there. It is probably a crappy pick seven years from now. The dude is like 11 years old now. Why not roll the dice on someone? Buzelis? Knecht? Work a trade to help the team this year? Improving the team each year is impo
rtant. Not sure I have even seen this draft strategy before.
Spurs must really hate this draft is all I can say.
I LITERALLY SAID KENT BENSON BEFORE THEM LETS GOOO
doug collins goat white #1 pick
Simmons has an over active mind.
Rockets got in a jam with poor shooting

Used to love Bill Simmons but his unnecessary hate for the Suns is so annoying.
He loves Dunn on the Nuggets but says “that’s too bad” when he goes to the Suns? 🤡🤡🤡🤡
He mad because the owner tricking into believing he was going to hire some guy named Young as head coach and Bill was so confident about it, and he looked like a clown when they hired Vogel 😂😂😂

18:40 Charlotte needs a guy who really wants to win. Hopefully Tidjane Salaun can be this guy.
Portland won the draft .
Really!!?
I think it is quite pathetic how Bill keeps talking about how bad all of these guys are, even more so the French guys, while I have the impression he actually hardly knows anything about them. Looking forward to some of them prove him wrong.I think last years nr 6 or 7 pick was Anthony Black, I am pretty sure some of the guys in the top 3 are better than him.
He’s friends with guys in league office who he trusts. He’s saying what they’re telling him and there’s nothing wrong with that
@@VRKyurem It is not his overall assessment, it is the derogatory way in which he talks about them. And he is talking about examples that he has seen in the couples of tapes that he has watched all the time, so he then you cannot hide behind this being other people’s opinions.
It can be healthy to temper expectations for everyone being drafted. Only one or two players will hit the ground running and even they may not turn out!
@@tsetter7693 Tempering expectations is not the same as talking jokingly all the time about guys as if the are complete losers.
@@rulifaller8474 so you’d rather him just say “I think this guy is a loser” instead of trying to be light about it and leave room for improvement?
Zach Edey's about to be a nightmare. Y'all seriously underrate his agility, check his combine drills. Memphis was the last place I wanted to see him...
it's insane memphis drafted him just to fucking set screens for morant. idiotic organization.
@@breakfastmachine That's not what's about to happen at all lol
OKC should have been the last place you would want to see Edey.
He's an unskilled 7'5 center who can't play defense
He's a really good screener. I don't think it's insane. It will help free up Ja and Bane
This was never a bad draft… it’s just that today’s NBA guys don’t watch college basketball. And the top of the draft was bad because they picked poor European players. The top pick looks like a young Nick Batum. Their talking about his elite athleticism and all of his highlights are underneath the rim… lol The players from 20 to the end of the 1st round were better than the lottery picks.
This is a terrible draft. Even the college guys aren't great. Clingan should have been the first pick. He's an elite rim protector and that skill is better than anybody else's skill in this draft. Even the foreign guys don't have a lot of upside and were weak in their Euro leagues
