I don't mind the long 808, although I see now how much space it leaves open when you shorten it. Great tutorial as always. Love the content, you're seriously underrated!
A lot of people are saying the first sound better but I believe better or not the second one leave more space for the artist to shine because the drums feel like one element compared to the first where all the sounds sound independent from on another
Thanks for your videos, you've been helping me through my producing journey since I started a couple years ago. Definitely one of the most to the point, coherent channels out there.. your time is appreciated 🫡
So happy to know the videos are helping out. I actually always try to keep the content straight to the point so you saying that means a lot to me. Thank you for the love 🙏
Hmm this works on some samples that are too long but the snare sounds way less interesting when shortened that much. I prefer the first pattern. After listening a few times the second pattern is actually so bad, the character of the samples is gone
This is kind of off topic but I was wondering what are you’re thoughts on Timbaland’s opinion towards Logic Pro? He recently agreed in an interview that it has a ‘commercial’ sound and that its only good for vocals.. Im #teamlogic all day and still got love for Timbo but Im curious on others thoughts about this?
i like this tip but feel as though both could work, juss depends what youre going for. that being said, the hat sounds wayyyyy better for modern day production. i think a simpler way to do it is also to take off the one-shot button in multi-sampler and then adjust the midi length, right?
yes thats right - its basically the same thing depending on how long your sample is. I sometimes do that for the 808 to control the length so it not always the same.
@@imamusicmogul yeah i guess this method has more control over the audio files’ sound so you can have it fade in or out where as using midi length leaves you with the file you start with. deff gonna use both techniques and great video as always bro!🙌

i woulda made the longer 808s as part of section b for variety
It works for some elements, like the 808, but I'm not sure about the others.

Exactly - it's all about leaving space for the main instrument which is usually the vocals!
This JUST CHANGED my sounds. AWESOME AND Recommended VIDEO. Great Bro.
Thanks! You're the goat. Honestly the best beat making/tutorial channel there is on youtube. Cant sing your praises high enough!
Your very welcome! And thank you so much for the support 🙏🙏🙏 I'm always happy to know the videos are helping out!
I would use transient shaper instead cut the body out. The second one sounds weaker on my opinion
2nd one sounds tighter and sounds like the dynamics of all the sounds match each other in a pleasing way
Holy Shot!!!! This makes perfect sense and I've been blind to it for a while. Thanks for the Gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This really help me on fixing some of my drums and making them fit in the song better.
Honestly i like this beat more with both snares being used at different times
to be honest, i like the unprocessed snare, the processed one feels a bit unnatural.
Great tip. It's like you know exactly what we are struggling with 😂
I got you 😉
I like the first pattern
Thanks for this!
The snare sounds way to short
cap
this was solid
Thank you for your time and this!

probly need som parralel drum compression for this.
@@nickvandenberg4244 yeah that would definitely help
Thanks for waking me up 💪🏾💯
The first one sounds better to me...
I agree
my guy, can you make a video on how to make 808's like Connor Price - Violet? They sound like they slow down time and it's nutty.
Put the phat accentuate remix effect bam
Honestly, removing the body of a sound is not it fam.. the first set of drums sound better.. you made these good sounding drums sound like dead
Yes exactly this
Is it the same concept if you put it on “Classic” and shorten the length of the note in the piano roll? That’s how I usually put the drums in
This helped me so much! This is what I was looking for! Thank you!
Sometimes shaping your samples goes a long way
Ouuuu this the video I’ve been looking for . Thanks man this will make my mix sooo hard , what 808’s are those by the way?
This helped alot, much appreciated!
Ohh and (Scorey - 156 Hudson) would be perfect for a remake!! Just thought id suggest it 🙌🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥 good shit brother I appreciate you 🤘
Fantastic!💜
Thanks man! This was so helpful.
Glad it helped!
Where could I find the 808 sample used in this video?
sounds great
💯
Yo bro I have an older version of logic pro x 10.0.5. how can i do this with exs24 ?

Thanks 🙏🏽
You’re welcome 😊
Holy shit I just tried this on my new song and omg this sounds amazing thanks so much is there something like this for vocals
Adaptive limiter and overdrive distortion will take u a long way.. and then distortion on the actual 808 strip.
Can you remake Jupiter’s diary by Rod Wave
&
Letter to my Son by Roddy Ricch???🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
To me both sections can be used in one track. You just gotta clean up the first part.
There’s no space to rap on
first one sound better to me
Only the second snare don't like me
👍🏾
Let me help you get your drums hitting harder than this!!
?
