Best video I’ve seen by far out of all the hundreds I’ve watched 😂. Thank you for all of this. I’m getting mine in hopefully the next 4 weeks, and you’ve taught me how to do extra things that other videos didn’t show. Great work.
I've watched a lot of videos and this is by far the best most detailed one, great job. saving this video too, its down to this car and the sportage hybrid, wasn't interested in this till the new interior came out, I was in Canada for a while and saw the car, didn't get a chance to test drive, thought I'll do that when I get back to the US..... This is a benchmark video for how to teach new owners all the functions of the car. Absolutely superb. Clearly explained, well articulated, got to the point - everything you could want. I hope you sell lots of these as payback for the effort you've clearly put it to making the video. I'm in the UK - I ordered one the other day, but if I was local to you - you would have had my business!
Well explained and very informative video… We have an Ultimate arriving at the end of this month! Can’t wait to try all these functions out! Will make operating the car easier after watching this! Great job ! 😊
Greetings from the UK. An outstanding video and definitely the best user guide currently on UA-cam relating to the new Tucson, and I've watched most of them😂. Great job👍
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this crossover here especially when the interior has been updated mainly the infotainment system and changing automatic gears on the steering column
My car delivered to my home Saturday, and I am feeling a little overwhelmed with all the settings. This video will be a big help, along with the ones that Hyundai has.
Great video! I ordered a Tucson Limited down here in the US lower-48 and will hopefully pick it up tomorrow. There is one thing you said that sounded great, but I think was mis-worded. At about 18:05 you start talking about the Head-Up Display (HUD) on the windshield, which is truthfully the only real HUD, since the other displays require the driver to look down into the car, and then at about 18:25 you say, "it'll also show you your cruise control information there, turn-by- turn directions, if you're navigating, on either the built-in system or now the Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, so it will show everything in that Head-Up Display." I have looked through the manuals (since I don't have my car yet), and I can't find anything about showing the Apple Carplay/Android Auto navigation (e.g., Apple Maps/Google Maps/Waze) on the HUD. It is true that it will display on the Infotainment screen, but does it really also display on the HUD? That would be awesome! Thanks again for the detailed review!
I picked up my car Monday and today noticed that Apple Maps does indeed show navigation on the instrument cluster and head up display. Waze and Google Maps don’t appear to work, but having Apple Maps on the HUD is great!!
As a 2022 Tucson Hybrid SEL owner, im surprised they moved the steering wheel controls to opposite sides?! Im right handed, so the adaptive cruise, lane keep and speed set is on the right side and is, by far, the most used. Now its been moved to the left. I rarely use the audio and call functions anyway. That's what android auto and Apple Carplay is for! The electronic box you were talking about under the rear cargo floor cover is the bass amp. There is another point to add to your future videos concerning the Tucson and the lack of a spare. Hyundai made the spare tire area capable of "adding a spare" for 2025 should you want one. The 2022-24 has bolts coming up from the floor that would hit a spare if you wanted to use one. Love the new dashboard layout. Still wish Hyundai would quiet down the GDI noise a bit and move to multiport to help keep the valves clean. The Tucson is fun to drive (especially the hybrid) and a "goldilocks" type of vehicle offering good value and performance. Thanks for the video!
This video should be called the "Ultimate" guide for the Hyundai Tucson Ultimate edition. Great detailed video. This compact SUV is a super high tech mini computer. Clearly Hyundai decided to blow Toyota RAV 4, Honda, Mazda hybrids out of the water with its 2025 edition. Those cars do not come even close with the technology this vehicle has.
Very informative! You definitely know your stuff. I'm really interested in getting this vehicle, but am a bit worried about how low those rear turn signal lights are.
They're low so that if you're stopped on the highway with your flashers on, and it's a bit foggy, you'll still be seen from a distance. I hear this concern often, but I've talked to truckers, and they all say it's fine and they can easily see the lights. They're no lower than a typical sedan.
I went two three dealerships and the Orange County Auto Show and none of the Hyundai people heard of "baby mode". Thanks for showing me how to find it.
@@edsgarage001 One thing for sure is that a serious salesperson will need to invest a lot of time to learn the features of an entire product line. Someday I see A.I. having a "demo mode" that replaces the ride-along salesperson. But then, that is where a relationship begins, so many not.
Very informative video… I’m looking at a Tucson hybrid N line should I wait for the 2025? And what’s the price difference between the N line and ultimate line?
The 2025 is definitely the nicer unit... However it is quite a bit more expensive. Depending on your market, it could be upward of $3000 more. As for the ultimate over the N-line, again depending on the market you're in, expect a 3000 to 5000 difference in price.

Does the 2025 beep when placed in reverse or has it been replaced with the "spaceship" sound that I heard when you pressed the button to show auto park, etc?
It looks pretty good. The vents are very similar to the ones on the Nissan Ariya and the screen looks like a Kia screen. The shelf in the dash is a nice addition. How much will this trim cost - $40K+? I still prefer the interior of the Kia Sportage. The competition is good for consumers.
Yes, but last generation screens in the Kia were also the same as the previous generation Hyundai Tucson . They share software and a lot of components.
I'm in Canada, we don't have the limited here. This is probably very similar to the limited trim though. Generally Hyundai separates their trim level prices by about $2000-$3000
Its the best of best video i have ever seen and i mean it. You explained so nicely of each and everything so detailed that it will for sure help me to setup my 2025 Tucsan hybrid ultimate. Thank you so much. I really really appreciate it. Thank you once again Hope to hear from u soon
Thank you for the comment! First answer... Natively you cannot play videos on the screen, however there's a cool product that I review on the following video that will allow you to do just that: ua-cam.com/video/TOvGpsYZP8g/v-deo.htmlsi=kfz55hjVuqPfqpOG
Second answer, Under settings, vehicle settings, driver assistance, parking safety. You can disable the sensors there... I just can't recall if that is permanent, or if it turns itself back on after you cycle the car off and on.
I checked out your above link regarding playing video with that device so can I use this device on 2025 Tucsan which has wireless anroid and which slot i will be putting the cable of that device as it has only C usb? Thank you again
You can plug it into the left USB C port... The one that can switch between charge only or screen connection. If the android box doesn't already come with it, you'll need USB C to USB C cable
I really want to buy this car😭 But I got a question: Since there are versions Limited, Vision and Ultimate, Ultimate basically means that you also have features from Limited and Vision but with Ultimate there are even more features? And also is there a camera while turning right and left? And also are there LED lights and what kind of lights are there? And also if I want to get features with Vision and Limited and even more I should buy Ultimate?
I'm not sure what market you're in, however ultimate is the top trim in Canada with every single feature available on these vehicles. Generally, yes every subsequent trim level includes everything from the previous trim level. Usually*
@@stevenbyers8747 did you order a hybrid ? what country are you in ? I'm wondering what the actual wait time is for an order. want to test drive one before and soonest one I've heard is mid oct.
@@8bellamia Yes. I bought the Tucson Hybrid Limited. I reserved it at the end of August, and it was originally supposed to arrive at the dealer on the 26th of September, but it arrived early on September 11. I live in America. It is a great vehicle!
Absolutely, there's a positive post in the fuse box. And then the negative you'de just clip onto one of the strut bolts. You could also potentially jump start directly to the 12 volt battery of course.
Hi Ed - No, I mean can I jump start my PHEV without having an External jump start booster ? Like jump starting from car itself like the Hybrid does to itself?
Are you aware of how bad the rear auto brake feature in the Tucson limited performed in IIHS testing? It's basically not even functional. I was startled when I watched their testing video and read the article. I believe they tested the 2024 Tucson and I'm hoping they have improved it for the 2025 model since their TV commercials is literally all about highlighting that feature. Do you think that's something that they could address with an over the air update?
Yeah, there's some room for improvement there. But that can and likely will be improved via software updates in the future. The required hardware is there already. Consider for the moment, that this Tucson has smart park (something the competition doesn't) and it most definitely brakes for anything that's possibly going to be in its way. So the capability is definitely there, it just needs a bit of refinement. In any event, a small niggle in an otherwise spectacular package.
Neither. it's a good ol-fashion bullet proof 6 speed auto. No point in having a CVT or DCT in a hybrid, as the hybrid motor can fill in the shift gaps and keep the efficiency up. I think I might have mentioned that in the video too actually 🙂 Having said that... The current dct's have been ok, not spectacular... But they're ok. The older Tucson from 2016 to 2018 had terrible DCT transmissions.
This is actually a Tucson Ultimate. I'm in Canada, we don't have the limited.. although, this is very similar to the limited trim. Some have navigation, because they cost more.
Which is easier to learn, how to play chess or learning all the tech on this screen?! It must have taken you quite a while to master. Tell the truth! I started to get a headache. TMI.
Thanks for the great vid. We had a sidewall road debris flat, not fixable with a kit and no cell service, spare tire absolutley saved the day. Very glad to know one can be added.
Jesus Christ, you need to be a MIT graduate to operate this thing. Very overwhelming but also very impressive providing systems don’t go down. For us non techies it might take years to use and remember all the bells and whistles. I don’t think I would be a big fan of that electronic shifter. I like floor ones.
Honestly, compared to other brands, they're actually pretty easy to use. I always tell my clients simply learn how to use the things you want to use and ignore the rest. When it comes to the shifter, trust me on this, once you're used to it everything else sucks. A floor shifter can be left in drive inadvertently, this can't. The vehicle will automatically put itself into park if you shut it off in drive, or take your seat belt off and open the door while it's running and in drive. Plus this frees up a whole bunch of centers console space
@@edsgarage001 I get the space saving argument, I just prefer the look and feel of a floor shifter. Im sure I could get used to it, just stating an opinion there.I own a 2017 Santa Fe Sport and if I get into the market for a new car then I would for sure consider this.
Depends on location. Hyundai partners with mnsoft, here maps, Google and tomtom. Global search in the infotainment system is just built in functionality.
The entire dashboard layout is different. Including new larger screens with new software. Plus this one has wireless Android auto and carplay... Exterior wise, this one has different wheels. It also has slightly different front end and tail end. This one has smart park, a new keyfob and new safety tech
Why Why is there no way to turn off the “consider taking a break “ Notification? I have a 2025 Tucson and I’m considering returning it for a car that doesn’t beep at me because it’s windy or there’s too much construction with uneven lanes. Do not buy Hyundai until they allow you to turn off all these nagging and distracting erroneous notifications. Thank you, Hyundai for ruining my new car experience.
Go to minute 46 in the video, turn off forward attention alert system. Also, if you drive the vehicle, and don't rely so much on lane keep assistance then you won't get the messages nearly as much. Or simply turn off lane keep assist and lane centering. And keep in mind, other car companies are doing the same sorts of things in their vehicles. Hyundai actually gives you more options to enable and disable these things than many other companies.
@@edsgarage001 everything is turned off, including the sound and it still flashes with sound “consider taking a break “. I turned everything off because I almost got into an accident because I didn’t pay attention to the noise and it was a different system trying to warn me. I would happily trade this nagging car back for my previous car that had over 100,000 miles on it. Because at least I could turn all of the noise and distraction off.
When I first got my vehicle... The "consider taking a break" message came up A LOT... But now I barely ever see it... Maybe once a month. You get used to it, and you'll start to learn what causes it. Trust me. These cars are phenomenal, and every other manufacturer has similar safety tech anyway, so you won't really get away from it in a different vehicle unless it's older. In the future, updates may also change how the system works, so that you see less false positives.
Why not?? It's got 228 horsepower, about 200lb ft torque. Does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds. Doesn't require premium fuel. Has been very very reliable The turbo is run at low pressure, so it'll last nice and long. All this and it gets 38 miles per gallon. There's basically no downside here 🤷
@@edsgarage001 most turbo’s run very hot, and have a lifespan of 30 to 70 thousand miles before burning up. The real kicker is the cost to replace them. Per hour cost is very high since they are usually jam packed between the firewall and the back of the block. Don’t get me wrong its a great little powerhouse addition. But new 2024/25 Toyota Tacoma’s are sitting on the lots cause they put 4cyl turbo engines in them and people want the six cyl simple block engines back. Just my opinion and i do respect yours also. I do love the hybrid aspect of it… and i do love the vehicle.. just not for me.. and many other people. Take care.
This new design in comparison to the 2022/23 model is so Disappointing!! What swayed me between Kia and all otger cars in that category was the unique dash/screen integration, the best I’ve seen in a modern car to date making it stand out from its competitors who have a clumsy screen awkwardly stuck on top of dash, which is also distracting! From a top class dash/screen integration to extremely basic… I’d hoped at the very least Hyundai would keep that unique style, and perhaps change the outer body, huge mistake as all its competitors are now in line with the same interior dash, actually I’ll go a step further, the new Tucson dash is a tray to store junk! It’s awful and for that reason I’m out! I’ll not be trading in my 2023 model for this new look next year!
@ I accept there are those who won’t take notice of this and purchase, but I also know people who are dissapointed in this new look… Yes hopefully they bring back the integration in the future as it was unique to this particular car which Tucson was leading in price, style and drive… I was looking forward to trading in this coming June, But when I seen this new interior??? It’s awful… not only have they changed from a beautiful sleek integrated style, but they’ve totally revamped the entire dashboard to tacky and awkward, just like all other cars on the market, whereas before it stood out… You can’t disagree how all other cars have that same screen stool on top of dash?? I’d imagine trying to clean round the screen, and the small box like trays, in a few days would be cluttered!! It was totally ahead of its competitors, now it’s on a par. Certainly below on interior … One thing I’d like to bring attention on is the side windows not clearing rain and dirt when lowered… Must be a defect as I’ve heard many complain bout the rubber seal not in contact with screen! Do you have that experience ?
I just got the 25 Tucson Limited and this video was very helpful to discover and learn about all the amazing features and hidden tips for the car. 🚗

ua-cam.com/video/TOvGpsYZP8g/v-deo.htmlsi=kfz55hjVuqPfqpOG
Second answer,
Under settings, vehicle settings, driver assistance, parking safety. You can disable the sensors there... I just can't recall if that is permanent, or if it turns itself back on after you cycle the car off and on.
Thank you so much for so quick response.
I will definitely change that setting.
I really want to buy this car😭
But I got a question:
Since there are versions Limited, Vision and Ultimate, Ultimate basically means that you also have features from Limited and Vision but with Ultimate there are even more features?
And also is there a camera while turning right and left?
And also are there LED lights and what kind of lights are there?
And also if I want to get features with Vision and Limited and even more I should buy Ultimate?
I'm not sure what market you're in, however ultimate is the top trim in Canada with every single feature available on these vehicles.
Generally, yes every subsequent trim level includes everything from the previous trim level. Usually*
What color is the car you are reviewing? Also, what are the other available colors?
This one was Titan grey.
Other colors (in Canada) are Amazon grey, Ash black, Crystal White, deep sea blue, cashmere bronze, and shimmering silver.
@@edsgarage001 Thanks for that info. I have a Titan Grey reserved which will come near the end of the month. Looking forward to getting it.
Hi Ed - I have a 2023 PHEV Ultimate... any idea if the PHEV can be jump started ?? I had a dead battery and couldnt jump it.
Unfortunately no... That's only possible in the hybrid, due to its battery layout and voltage
I still don't see the 2025 hybrid on their website just the gas model😥
On the Canadian website the Tucson hybrid is listed as a completely separate model.
Filter out by electrified vehicles first....
What color paint was this vehicle?
Titan grey.
Thx for the comment!
is the transmission DCT or CVT? I've read online that Hyundai has reliability issues with their DCTs.
Neither.
it's a good ol-fashion bullet proof 6 speed auto.
No point in having a CVT or DCT in a hybrid, as the hybrid motor can fill in the shift gaps and keep the efficiency up.
I think I might have mentioned that in the video too actually 🙂
Having said that...
The current dct's have been ok, not spectacular... But they're ok.
The older Tucson from 2016 to 2018 had terrible DCT transmissions.
@@edsgarage001 Thanks again for your response. Definitely shows how much I don't know about this stuff. I'm looking forward to your next video.
And thank you for the comments!
This is a Tucson Limitied why only certain ones have navigation?
This is actually a Tucson Ultimate. I'm in Canada, we don't have the limited.. although, this is very similar to the limited trim.
Some have navigation, because they cost more.
Which is easier to learn, how to play chess or learning all the tech on this screen?! It must have taken you quite a while to master. Tell the truth! I started to get a headache. TMI.
😂
I've been selling hyundais for 9 years
what is the price of this car?
It depends on the market that you're in. In Canada they are about $49,000 Canadian
Thanks a lot! You rock!
Thx!
Overall beautiful vehicle. However, disappointed no spare tire. I wish this wasn’t a trend.
Added easily enough.. but honestly, I'd much rather plug in a pump then change a tire
Thanks for the great vid. We had a sidewall road debris flat, not fixable with a kit and no cell service, spare tire absolutley saved the day. Very glad to know one can be added.
What is the exact exterior color and interior seat color of your test car??
Titan grey exterior.
Light grey interior.
@@edsgarage001 THANKS !!
You have to be in your 90s to say this car is hard to use lol. MIT graduate lmaoo
@ it was a damn joke. Just pointing out it has a lot of tech.
maps and search powered by google?
Depends on location. Hyundai partners with mnsoft, here maps, Google and tomtom.
Global search in the infotainment system is just built in functionality.
It seems the wife vetoed the new beard.
Lol... Naaa, it was starting to bug me. Couldn't seem to keep it hydrated despite using oils and whatnot.
I just got the 2024 model. I dont see the significant difference.
The entire dashboard layout is different. Including new larger screens with new software. Plus this one has wireless Android auto and carplay... Exterior wise, this one has different wheels. It also has slightly different front end and tail end.
This one has smart park, a new keyfob and new safety tech
That key fob is so ugly…thats my only complaint.
Yep... Lol..
Thankfully there's nice tpe covers available. I bought one got my cars keyfob and it's a huge improvement
Yeah but it saves on so much room. I bet other vehicles will move this this style. All the hybrids are.
Rear turn signal being so low is not that great for other users. Also, using a regular bulb just feel a downgrade.
The turn signal lights are in a weird place.
4cyl turbo, even with the hybrid. No thanks
Why not?? It's got 228 horsepower, about 200lb ft torque. Does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds. Doesn't require premium fuel.
Has been very very reliable
The turbo is run at low pressure, so it'll last nice and long.
You're in the minority... Everyone I know who's seen it in person thinks it's better.
Have you actually gone to see it in person yet?
@ I accept there are those who won’t take notice of this and purchase, but I also know people who are dissapointed in this new look…
Yes hopefully they bring back the integration in the future as it was unique to this particular car which Tucson was leading in price, style and drive… I was looking forward to trading in this coming June, But when I seen this new interior???
