Fascinating, I use Forscan for my Ford's and the boys mazdas. I had to recently program 2 new keys on his 09 RX8 from Mazda dealer because he lost his and was using his AKE During process it said something about non OEM key problem for each key, but the keys are "working" but the security continues to flash while driving but it starts every time for him. It's his DD for work. He does have some u codes for IC, I think he is having trouble with the immobilizer, because he was caught in a heavy downpour. The day before. I'll dig deeper when I get time. Not asking for help, just sharing a diy guy problem. LOL Keep the vids coming.
Thanks for this video! Quick question, I have a Ford Escape 2010 in the shop right now, new PCM installed that has been programmed to the VIN. They sent the following instructions for parameter reset.. (I have only one key in my posession that is in the memory, have been told this is okay and PR should still get the car started with the key I have?) 1. Use a key to cycle the ignition to RUN. 2. Enter the security access on the PATS control function module. This process takes approximately 10 minutes. Type C - Instrument cluster 3. Select PARAMETER RESET and exit the security access. 4. Select the PCM KEEP ALIVE MEMORY (KAM) reset. 5. Start the vehicle. Technicians have attempted this, and car did not start. These instructions slightly contradict your video which makes me think perhaps trying out your trick may help. So do I tell them after step 4 above, to complete on the screen, exit out of the Parameter reset and do not attempt to start the car but leave the key in the ignition. Wait for a few minutes before turning it off and then attempting to start? Any help would be appreciated, this issue is driving me nuts. Thanks!
Great video First of all, I had the same a problem with a 2008 Ford Explorer. They change the computer and program the two keys and that one step was not done. The Pat's light was off I did the reset and it started.
Hey Brian I’ve ran into a issue with my 2000 F-150 my original cluster shorted out to do a solder shortage on the odometer pins so it’s fried. I recently bought a used cluster obviously from a salvage yard that was in great condition for $50 and then I was told there’s a chance it could be plug and play and there may be a chance not and that’s my case the cluster looked like it was gonna work the gauges moved and everything but then it flashed a 15 anti theft code and that’s the key and the truck not recognizing the cluster so the truck would not fire but it would turn over the PATS system is not allowing fuel to the injectors. I had a lock smith come out and do a parameter reset to clear the code and relearn the key and cluster and that failed he didn’t have a clue what to do and supposedly the parameter reset kept failing and popping up weird codes and I was ask if the PCM was changed and it hasn’t been touched I know this is a lot but I hope you get back with me I would really appreciate because I need my truck.
And just to mention I only have 1 key for the truck never had a spare for it but I’ve been told I don’t need 2 keys to program a new cluster but in your video it seems like I do?
If your keys are stored in the cluster and you swap it out/ parameter reset you will have to program 2 keys. That older truck i think there were 2 styles of Pats for that year, important to get the proper cluster.
@@BrianMann216 it’s a 100mph Tac Cluster I ordered it from a salvage yard and it’s the except same as the original even though the receipt says 2000 Ford Expo for some reason but I don’t think that matters because they’re identical I guess that’s why they sold it to me so I don’t think that matters. So do you think I should have someone else attempt a parameter reset or just tow it to Ford because I don’t have a spare key

sir, I replaced PCM in a 2014 E250 and attempted to use Autel MS908. I went through reset procedure. after the 10 minutes it gave the following message The Hybrid electrical Cluster (HEC) module is not permitting security access. Does this mean I have to have it done using J2435 Programming tool ?
I am not familiar with that special function. Maybe it is the fleet enable function or something like that? There are many small variances in what IDS will allow you to enable disable from model to model and year to year.
Hi, does this program works on 2001 Jaguar? I assume, as Ford owned Jaguar at that time. I have a 2001 Jaguar S Type and suddenly won't start or crank. PAts light flashes rapidly for 1 min, and after that start flashing slow, from what I can tell is code 22, but can't find what that code is. Someone told me that I'm screwed lol that the security system is on and I will have to take the car to a Jaguar dealership to reprogram everything, the sad part is that I live in the Dominican Republic and the only Jag dealership is way far from where I live and a tow truck will charge me a lot. Thanks for Any help on this!!!

For 08 explorer no need to erase and program keys, they are stored in the cluster. Simple parameter reset would take care of it.
Great 👍 info! Thanks
Excellent. Thanks
THANK YOU BRIAN APPRECIATE THE VIDEO , just wondering with the free classes can i watch them more than once ?

How many keys are stored in the pats module? PARAMETER reset may have deleted and you need to program 2

I think so ,using ids should work
Can you go in special function and disable the PATS ON A 2008 f-350
