Christophe Rousset) would teach at l'Accademia Musicale Chigiana --- most of my friends and neighbors, inside and outside university, new "La Verrett" without prompting...but, always surprisingly to me, with more than just a little pride. Even some of the younger folks, who didn't know Verrett's (or any other's) name outright, still knew of THE "Lady" (Macbetto).
Thats what ppl usually says about her. So it must be true. You were lucky. ❤ She does seem not only simpatico but humorous and intelligent. And artistic. She expresses herself so clearly.
What a class act Ms Verrett was. Her voice was so exquisite and powerful she had no problem dominating this orchestra...To think she was almost lost, to Real Estate deals !!

Verrett was great as usual but we can also see what a verteran interviewer we have here. If you didn't know you would be surprised that this man was equally at home on topics of finance, business etc.

She was and is a stunner. I was privileged to sing with her numerous times as a child. She is class, grace, and excellence personified.
