Today, I am making a hearty and flavourful dish that is sure to warm you up during the cold winter weather. This dish is Salty Chicken Braised Eddoes, and combines the flavour packed Chinese cured chicken with soft and scrumptious eddoes. Since you likely can't just buy this cured chicken at the supermarket, I will also show you how how it is made. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Here are the ingredients for making this dish:
Cured chicken:
- 1kg whole chicken
- 50g salt
- 15g white sugar
- 10g Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 star anise
Salty Chicken Braised Eddoes:
- 1 cured chicken
- 8 eddoes
- 7 slices of ginger
- 7 cloves of garlic
- diced green onion
