She's so ridiculously understated..... simply fabulous
I love her! So great to see her still successful!
Great stuff Courtney B. You are so kind. Nice to have you in this world.
She’s kind because, if something were to happen, she wouldn’t want the last words you hear to be unkind.
@@albertcamus7807 I really appreciate that,
Love this - especially at about 2:20 when she makes a mistake and smiles it off - it's awesome
She's so lovely
One of the cool things is that she is not over polished or a virtuoso...just real...
Courtney is the living proof that guitar-driven music is still going strong.
Do yourself a favor and listen to her song Avant Gardner. It's the perfect mix of anxiety and acceptance, wrapped in a nice asthmatic lyrical package.
I agree, but the words to this are pure love and poetry - my fave!
She's on my spotify playlists since last year.
love that song
I thinks she’s clever cause she stops people dying
Been loving it for a while. Sad that I had to discover her sometime ago via a great Italian show called Musical Box (Rai Radio 2), rather than normal radio.
I'm so excited to see her on tour next week!!
I just left her show at mission ballroom in Denver. She's a true artist for sure!
Love her!
Great performance. I ❤CB!
I love her, and have since I first saw her on Tiny Desk.
Got tickets for her Norfolk show in September. So excited to see her live!
This has an early 80’s indie feel. Killer throwback sound.
This song never fails to give me chills ❤️
Couldn't love this more
love love love courtney
I dig this. I’m bobbin my head.
Love that our Courtney is on Colbert. She's a gem.
beautiful slow burn 😍
So sweet
I love her so much
🤩❤️
The "funny how things change" part remind me so much of 80s indy band Timbuk 3 and some of the vocal stylings they did. Timbuk 3 greatest secret from the 80s.
This version is so much more affecting than the album for me. It's a beautiful resonance
So Melbourne!
This is a wonderful song from a great Aussie songstress ….lady grab the alt torch and run it forward.. you’re musics gold
Love you all.
She's a song writin' machine.
Very Wilco love it
Jeff Tweedy and his son Spencer star in her music video for elevator operator :)
Onya Noice 1
Been keeping a sneaky eye on CB for a while great Aussie Talent
Angrst with a groove.
Класс!
Круто!
Courtney's too good for this show
I wish the vocals were a tad louder. But I guess she approved the mix before it went to UA-cam.
I seriously doubt if she cares about the level of her vocals.
@@erichart2093 Hmmm. . . What makes you say that?
Oddly hypnotic.
She looks like she was just playing on Woodstock
Who's Courtney Garnet?
Barnett. Look up her first album. Some great tracks, including Anonymous Club. She’s a clever lyricist.
She's the Australian Liz Phair.
Yessss! As an Aussie/Liz Phair fan I approve this message. I always thought she sounds a lot like Sheryl Crow :)
Prefer her to both Liz and Sheryl. She's great, and neither of them quite work for me.
I feel like Jon Batiste must be the one picking all the acts that come on the show, or at least 98% of them. He's always, ALWAYS playing music I've listened to growing up at totally different parts of my life, and he always picks bands I've heard of. He's like the compendium of the most underrated (unless you know) musicians of all time. When he comes back I think it'd be really cool if he got to do little sessions with other musicians or bands.
⚡🥗😇⚡
anybody know the name of this TYPE of guitar she's playing?
like....i know its not a les paul or a stratocaster....
i'd appreciate it....
cheers°!
Fender Cobain Jaguar.

🫶🏼 🎶 🥂
WTF Courtney? You can do Colbert but abandon commitments to your audience in Burlington, Vt??
Please
You can say my home town is half-way between Toronto and Buffalo. The Association,
a band from the States playing Southern Ontario, suddenly had a hit single, "Cherish", and cancelled,
staying in America. Guess who just finished playing Toronto and was was heading back to Buffalo,
before he and his band were asked to fill in? The Wicked Wilson Pickett. What an incredible show.
🙌⛩️🕉️☯️⚛️⛩️🙌.
Such a fucking ear worm
....too bad she can't sing....
*Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today💱*
I feel like this band is just rehearsing with a stand in singer. Such a boring voice, sounds like a monotone just reading lines.
That’s there style
It must be nice being a wannabe band in L.A. when being a garage band is a late night talk show gig.

@@manillascissor Someone has to try and balance the improper comments and the insanity. And it's okay, I type fast. I had my hot little fingers on an online keyboard in 1979. Yeah... ask about that.
It's amazing because it's her but if a guy played that song they would tell him to get out and take his garbage music with him.
If I saw Kurt Cobaine and Nirvana I'd tell them to get out and take their garbage drug music with them.
