      This was great and in depth.
      That said, I'm thinking you would save a LOT of time if you used Linda Beren's Interaction Style method. If you master that, you would only need an interview or two to tell someone's type with accuracy (without looking at hours and hours of videos of their behavior). The wording patterns are very consistent with types and are something they can't fake. Much more accurate than behavior (because behavior can be faked, especially for actors). Curious if you've looked into interaction styles.

    As an ENFP I can usually instantly tell when a celeb is also one - I can feel it intuitively just hearing them speak. With Pedro I was so confused because he felt so close to ENFP, but the energy around his emotional expressiveness felt off even though everything else was there. This makes total sense, problem solved 😂

      Yes I am also an ENFP and I initially thought Pedro was one too but I remember when I saw the airport clip before it was used in this video, I began to wonder if he actually was ENFP because there is no way I would have kept that calm and been able to sign autographs for fans after if I was in Pedro's situation.

      like Grimes, right? she's an extreme example, but it's useful to compare Pedro to her to contrast both the ENTP and ENFP types. not to stereotype all ENTP's, but as an ENTP with ADHD, I think both of them kinda give off similar cr4c head energies (lol) but with different vibes... The guy from the Cognitive Personality Theory channel is always describing the difference between Fi/relational empathy and Fe/mirror empathy. To me, it's obvious how Grimes is more sure of her identity and her feelings about stuff in a very conscious way, so she's more Fi, while Pedro is a more outwardly empathetic performer who seeks to take responsibility for other people's feelings, at least cognitively speaking. He's more anxious and insecure of his own emotions. It's like the guy from CPT said (sorry I forgot his name he's a cool guy 😭) though I don't think he has typed Pedro directly, Pedro is that empathetic subtype he described on a video over three years ago, with developed Fe who strays away very strongly from the ENTP soci0p4thic archetype (which, like, 99% of us ENTP's aren't that, it's just that some of us do feel fake from time to time, with a much less developed Fi).

    As an Infj, who grew up around ENTPs and ENFPs, I can confirm that he is an ENTP. There’s no way he’s an ENFP!! He is a trickster and likes to provoke people, does it all the time, in all of his interviews, all interactions, but in a charming way 😊 Also, I don’t know what it is, but ENTP males adore having mustache ( Andrew Shulz) and it does make sense on them 😂

They're often described as being so distinct in energy but I could write a dissertation on why I feel torn in terms of functions. I guess it's hard to see yourself objectively. From an ENFP, I think the biggest outside difference (from observation) between us and ENTPs is my unwillingness to argue. I know this is a cliche about ENTPs, but coming from an ENFP I feel it to be true. If I have a disagreement with a person, I'm not going to argue with them my perspective, at least not for long. I don't care to change people's minds or opinions, I don't care if someone thinks I'm right or wrong. I know internally how I feel, my intentions and what I believe to be true. I do like explorative debates, just ponderings, but it's not on anything I personally believe. If I'm passionate about something and someone is tromping on something so important to me, I would leave. I would not debate my side. I feel like ENTPs are more likely to express their views in a more stubborn prolonged manner. It's not worth my time, because like I said, I don't care what you believe.

      Wow! Aren't you the lucky one! Now, to blow your mind - you should watch him act in either The Last of Us (On HBO) or maybe Narcos (the seasons he's in). I'd recommend The Mandalorian, but he's mainly voice acting there (he's rarely the actual person in the costume) and the costume completely covers the actors' (3 of them) faces. The characters he plays are absolutely nothing like him. Pedro is also very cool in that he is VERY supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and has a sister who is trans.

    • @kp4911

      @@i_love_rescue_animals Pedro is suppotive of LGBTQ because he is a member. As he's gotten so famous, I don't think he can keep it quiet anymore. He's never been in the closet, just private. He had no problem being seen with his boyfriend at a recent Hollywood event, but no photos were released. However, now he's followed by photographers all the time and they will eventually publish a picture. It's just a matter of time.

(I know his good friend Sarah Paulson is gay and they are just close friends - obviously.) Doesn't matter to me (and isn't really any of my business). But saying he's supportive of LGBTQ "because he's a member" makes sense, but isn't really fair to those of us that aren't members, but ARE supportive. I know MANY straight people who are very supportive of the community. 💕 Good for him to keep his private life private.

    • @BernardoPatino
      @BernardoPatino Рік тому +3

      @@i_love_rescue_animals it's very weird when celebrities are queer and people are too nosy. like, culturally we have this dichotomy between LGBT people and allies, but to be one or the other you have to be somewhat open about your private feelings (which is okay but it's not for everybody, at least bit easily, like, where's his Fi lol) or be somewhat politically outspoken (which, again, is good but is something that is not for everybody). He's obviously an ally politically, at least in a more inclusive sense, it's just that people can't see the nuance and want him to pick a side. Either come out or don't be so girlypop. This is like biphobia, gender roles and internalized homophobia (cringe)

    This finally answers my question! I thought all this time he was more of an F than an T, but I'm still quite not sure because I haven't seen him serious, as what that TMZ video shown. I avoid watching that since I don't really watch videos that come from the "paps" because most of the time they invade personal space. I knew for a fact that he was an E because of what he said in that interview where his "friends were the ones who took care of him during the pandemic."
    As an INFP, I like his personality so much and he makes me laugh all the time. But there's just something about him being funny on interviews like I feel like it's a front or just something conceal whatever it is. I wish I have a friend (or someone special lol) like Pedro Pascal. Thank you for this!

  • @SunsetDragon
    @SunsetDragon Рік тому +3

    I've been pretty sure for a few years now that I'm an ENFP, but the things in the video that you said I can really relate to. I've always been deeply emotional, but I've never felt my emotions as something concrete. If someone asks how I'm doing, there's such a broad range of things to say that I never know which it is that I'm feeling. I never know if I'm upset or just confused, happy or just flustered. I'm always thinking about how I feel, but I rarely know for sure.
    But when I see some other person, I instantly adapt to what THEY'RE feeling, because I immediately know. If they're feeling happy, I'll act all bubbly, regardless of how I was feeling prior. And if they're upset, I feel upset, no matter how good the day was before.
    I'm also constantly begging for feedback, in hopes of a compliment or something I can improve on. I want to be myself, but I want myself to be what others want, if that makes sense.
    Does this mean I'm actually an ENTP? Or can other ENFPs here relate to this? I'll have to do some research on this. (In case it helps, I'm a 2w3!)
    Anyways, really cool video!! Pedro is awesome.

      I think I’d need more context and information to say for sure. some things id think about:
      How much do you think about wanting to contribute to or improve how other people are feeling?
      When you say you can become bubbly or adapt, is it because you're trying to make them feel a certain way?
      or is it just feeling needy or wanting to fit in sometimes? (normal for everyone i think)

    • @SunsetDragon
      @SunsetDragon Рік тому

      @@EricWen Yeah, I'm totally an MBTI beginner, so I don't really know the questions to ask myself, haha..
      I think when I adapt to their emotions, it's mainly an empathy thing? Like, being in a room full of happy people makes me happy, being in a room full of angry people makes me irritable, etc. Then again, it's partially to be more likable, more tailored to them so they want to talk to me.
      And when I make someone else's day, that makes my day. If they like talking to me, I feel like I have more value as a human being. I'm constantly trying to figure out what the best thing to say to specific people is, even if I don't always get it right.
      You know, I'm quite good at Enneagram, but MBTI is like a whole new territory. All these things I'm saying make total sense for a 2w3 ("The Host/Hostess," naturally), but I have no clue how it relates to MBTI in any way.

    Hmmm I’m getting confused about myself. I’m an INFP (from as far as I understand cognitive functions), but I assumed the thing about turning “on” people mode was a Fi thing? Usually I’m very distant and may seem cold on the outside, but as soon as I’m around others I have to remind myself to express what I’m feeling or thinking on the inside. Whenever I forget I frequently get comments like “are you okay??” or people thinking I’m sad/mad when that’s just my resting expression and responses. My friends have told me I can give a cold answer like “oh that’s nice” and then switch the next second and light up “Oh no, I genuinely think it’s really nice!!”. This happens frequently, and it’s not because I don’t think the subject is not nice, I just forget to express how I feel on the inside on the outside. It’s a very conscious effort for me. I feel inauthentic by not expressing how I feel on the inside, but at the same time trying to act out my inner feelings also feels inauthentic ?? AAAA IM SO CONFLICTED. Comments please help 😭

      I am very confident about being an Ne & Si, but not sure about the others as much. Extra info: I’m very opinionated and can bring up my opinions to my own detriment even if I know the other person disagrees strongly, altho I may frame my words differently as to not seem like I’m attacking them or their views. I never really spill things by accident, everything is a conscious thing but sometimes I’ll play off like I’ve spilled something by accident. I do sometimes accidentally let my emotions slip through, but it’s on very rare occurrences or if I’m especially drained or not thinking right.

    Hmm I do think that FI also has the capacity for a certain detachment, where you can see them describe what they feel without seeing what they feel, this is not as apparent with the FE users, who seem to express it on their faces also. Not sure, I consistently type as ENFP but I am also quite detached so Idk

    hey
    i just wanted to ask if you would
    consider analysing the
    personality type from kim jisoo
    (member of the girl group
    blackpink)
    she always talks about mbti and
    how her results are ever
    changing (she got
    estp,istp,entj,intp)
    I personally believe she is an into
    but | am not sure
    she is very popular so there are a
    lot of videos/reality shows or
    even a documentary where one
    could analyse her
    I think it would be super
    interesting because her
    character does seem tricky. She
    is sometimes referred to as 4d
    personality, which is korean slang
    and means someone very
    unpredictable and kind of weird/
    eccentric
