      I have a question about the front foot cover drive. Do you watch the ball after you have hit it cos my hands are usually right where my eyes are especially if I’m holding the shot for a few seconds. Also I’m having trouble keeping my back leg in a straight line when the ball is just back from a half volley, does this matter? Cheers

      *I end up with my bat horizontal above my eyes so I can see but when I watch you guys that’s not what you do so I feel it’s putting something out

      We watch the ball the entire time, from delivery, to contact, to it piercing the gap💪🏻 if your hands are blocking your eyes you are probably pulling your arms into yourself after contact, so look to extend it a bit more

      In terms of your back leg, it doesn't matter that much as long as you have your weight forward through the ball and you are making contact nice and late under your eyes💪🏻👌🏻

    Another fantastic video. This stuff is gold dust lads. Realistically, most players don't get dedicated batting coaching very much at all and it used to take years and years to accumulate all the points that are covered on your channel. There's a lot of videos on UA-cam (and God I wish UA-cam had been around when I was a teenager) but I daresay yours is the best!

    I just came back from a net session and searched for your video about backfoot punch. Since few days, I am getting very thin edges while trying to play backfoot punch. What could be wrong according to your experience?

      you could be opening up your hips through the shot, this pulls the bat across the line of the ball causing slices or thin outside edges. Other possibility is that you aren't keeping your shape through the shot and pulling your front elbow across the ball.

      Yo buddy, focus on your shoulder dip and shoulder rotation through the shot. It should help you stay side on for longer

      Start with basics, underarms, dropdowns. Advance to slow over-arms. After that go into full speed over-arms. From this point on, start working on match specifics, like strike rotation, starting your innings etc. 💪
