What I'M thinking this is a sequel to is this thing from really old race between Mark and Simple (I don't remember which race it was, I MIGHT have been there or it might have been Mario Maker or maybe even Tetris Plus) where Mark said "my pauser timed".

belt - you can customize the amount of give that is on s belt with each hole so it fits perfectly

It's not even true though, is the thing. The "1" was only added to the title in the 1994 cartridge edition (as opposed to the 1986 disk edition, which was the original) - i.e. long after Zelda 2, Link to the Past and Link's Awakening had already released.

Zelda 1 was only called Zelda 1 when it was re-released on the Famicom (in Japan it first came out on the Famicom Disc System) in 1994, when there were already 4 Zelda games (6 if you count the CDI ones). It was not called Zelda 1 when it came out in 1986 there.
