Yes, becuase Winnie made some very racist comments to the Crenshaw students for being black and Hispanic! By calling them "ghetto" and what not.

not me replying a decade later but as they said their steps were hella repetitive each time within every competition, it got to where it was so easy to pinpoint each move that they could copy it then their next dance im guessing was something from them that they had already or used inspo from the pacific cheerleaders

As I was watching this I was thinking about Riverdale. If anyone who has seen Riverdale you'll know what I'm talking about. It's like this, in one of the Riverdale episodes the Serpents from the South Side have to transfer over to Riverdale High and well if you'd seen that episode you'll know what I'm going to say next. It's like The Crenshaw Heights Warriors are the Serpents and Pacific Vista are the Bulldogs. Cheryl would be a Pacific Vista and Jughead and the Serpents would be the Crenshaw Heights Warriors, Cheryl judged the Serpents based on where they come from just like Winnie did with Crenshaw Heights, she was being a real jerk I think. The Serpents come from the South Side, their not rich or have a good school to go to, you could say they come from the streets but they're not a bad crew like what people think they are, same with the Crenshaw Heights they may come from the other side but they're not ghetto by any means, they're talented and Pacific Vista didn't give them much credit on what they can do, they deserved to win because they knew how to bring it on!
In my opinion, this movie was much more enjoyable, although very cringey and cheesy as well
