Thank you. Brother Urshan. I can't see someone lie about you. You are such a loving pastor with a heart for people. No matter what people do, the Bible is right.
20:30 Never once in my 24 yr. walk with God have I ever seen a friend who left the church and thought, “Wow, their life has only gotten better since leaving the church!” I’ve only seen friends lives fall apart separate from God, but I’ve also seen them restored when they return to God. God is good!
Powerful and powerfully down to earth. When I started down the path of forgiveness, my ignorance was magnified. I repented. I am still learning but Jesus has opened a whole new world to me and relationships have taken a bright turn. God is good when we repent and forgive. Congratulations! It is awesome being a grandparent.
I appreciate this man he is so humble in spirit and truth. He uses fairness and common sense leading with the word of God. God has never failed me. He always uses someone to talk to my family and I. Praised be to God. 😊😢
Thank you Pastor Urshan! My pastor in his series on Joseph talked about this Sunday and how grace can show up in the ugliest of stories. The story of Tamar and Judah was part of the grand story of Joseph reconciling with his brothers since it is Judah who speaks up for Benjamin having learned his lesson with Tamar…then you make a podcast about it…Look at God! Confirmation! Love you Pastor and God bless you, your family and FPC Durham!
Praise the Lord pastor keep up the great work God is doing and has done in your life i thank God for you in your commitment to rightousnes as a Pentecostal pray for me as a Pentecostal also thank you.
Fearfully, wonderfully, and contextually sound! The word of God remains true regardless of our hurts and disappointments! Thank you Pastor Urshan for this powerful and much needed segment! May God continue to bless and bring his people back to the fold before it’s too late!
Thank you SO much Pastor Urshan for this thoughtful, insightful teaching and for sharing some of your experience. This lesson was like a soothing, healing balm and caused me to reflect on several things: the result of allowing a root of bitterness to take hold in the heart due to offense; the mercy and grace God showed as He dealt with imperfect and sinful humanity throughout the Old Testament to bring about our redemption; and (as you mentioned) how the Bible vividly shows real life situations of both the good and bad in people. It's even more stunning that Tamar is one of three women mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1.
Brother i have heard these types on different platforms. I always wonder if they truly recieved gods spirit. I know the Bible talks of those who fall away , but still ... I thank god for his goodness and mercy and the Truth. The truth will prevail over all sin.
Bro Urshan, thank you for being vulnerable and open about pain you've been through in your life. It truly does minister to others. We love and appreciate you and your family so much! And congrats to you on your new grand baby and Benz' engagement! Wish we didn't live so far! ❤
Agreed. Just because offenses take place doesn't mean we abandon God and his doctrine. The problem is usually the leaders who refuse to humble themselves to others and apoligize or whatever needs ro happen. Sonetimes it's the other person or party. If you want proof of where the error is, look for the fruit disappearing and revival doesn't happen though they seek it with prayer & fasting. It's one thing if an unfruitful branch is cut off or a member is cut off. Compared to the whole body being lost or the tree be cut down. That's why the holiness of God and his commandments be established in the Spirit of God instead of leaders and people exerting their will upon others.
Pastor Urshan: The Lord is blessing his people. *joyful anticipation* also Pastor Urshan: That's why we are gonna talk about something really dark, today. *extreme confusion* "Whhhhaaaaaaaaa???"
Joseph WAS blessed. Judah’s darkness is overcome later. I get it. Just because we are blessed doesn’t mean we don’t make it through the darkness. I need to hear it. Too many times it’s left unsaid.
Can you quantify your claim of "getting it right, 98%of the time?" That is an interesting claim for how untestable it is. Many other might have a very different number. I don't point this out, or ask this question to disparage your emphasis on our need for Godly pastors, most certainly we do.
🙂It's not a quantifiable statement. There is most certainly variance in the percentages that are right vs those that are wrong. The point I'm making is that a godly leader will be right if they are following the Word of God and are prayerful. The part they miss will be due to their humanity. Godly leadership isn't about perfection. No biblical leader outside of Christ was perfect. Rather, it is about trusting God and following a leader that follows Christ. God will lead us all through that process. Great leaders will have a track record of staying close to the great shepherd and bishop of our souls.
Just because they look apostolic and holy on the outward doesn't mean it's true on the inward. Secret sin or sin that's not dealt with in the Spirit of God can destroy if not kept in check. Satan and his angels are alway going about and becoming familiar with us, our habits and words. They look and seek ways to influence us and expose hypocrisy and such.
Could I please have the Biblical context regarding not drinking wine, and women not wearing pants? Paul instructs Timothy in 1 Timothy 5 to drink a little wine for his stomach. The verse in Deuteronomy 22 about gender and cloaks/garments comes right before a law condoning the stoning of a sexually immoral woman.
Always enjoy the podcasts. I will say that many do leave because of hurt but there are some that dont leave because of hurt but because of the inconsistent standards that various churches have like some its wrong to have short sleeves, its wrong to wear even a wedding band and others its not a big deal. Causes confusion to many. Now the pants thing, i love my apostolic upbringing but there is a distinction with pants for women and men, just like style of shirts that look both for man and women. High heels was first made for men back in the day but now its feminine. Next part i guess our sisters over in the PAW are wrong, they believe oneness, acts 2:38 and distinction between sexes yet women wear pants that are tailored to them. I mean do we tell men in scotland to stop wearing kilts? Also many cultures in past history women had some form of pants too. Again i love my up bringing but we can be very prideful toward others and think they are less of a holy ghost filled christian because of one piece of clothing.
Sir far from endorsing it. Just making a statement in regards to how certain things in cultures over time change. You would never see me or my sons wearing such items because it is females attire. But look at other cultures and youll see gender distintion with robes, kilts, and yes ancient cultures women wore pants also. If we are going to condmn a soul over one peice of clothing then women shouldnt wear any pant type leggings at home, or under their skirts either. As always its about gender distinction and there is Gender diatinction in pants for men and women. But we tend to snub our noses at other Holy Ghost filled believers because they dont look like us. When true holiness is a heart issue that yes eventually shows on the outward.
Nor will you see me or my sons ever in skinny jeans, or jeans that make us look Feminine. Which i see many men even in our circles wear that too but its not preached about because its a man in pants regardless of how feminine they look in it. Which takes me back to the inconsistent nature of different apostolic church standards, short sleeve, long sleeve skirt length, wedding rings or no wedding rings, ect.
Some things are just common sense like putting two and two together, The Bible says, and I don't remember exactly where it's at as I'm just coming off the cuff here, it might be in Deuteronomy, but if you are interested you can look it up, and I pray most of all, in Jesus name that I'm not stepping on my pastor's toes or taking anything from his amazing anointing or to harm this message, but this scripture just came to me while listening. The priests in that day were commanded to wear britches according to the bible to keep the people below them from seeing up their Garb or robe or whatever the technical term of that day was. Only men could be priests, this is just a simple exercise, that if men were commanded to wear britches under their rob, then that would be a man's appeal and if it's an abomination for a woman to wear that which pertaineth to a man, and only men were commanded to wear them then wouldn't that men pants are a man's appeal, just food for thought, God bless everyone that hears this word in Jesus name, amen
Judah knew what to do but admitted that he was in the wrong and refused to do it. So, Tamar did what she had to do. If she had seduced Judah's son, Shelah instead and became pregnant, then what would have been the outcome? Would she have been burned? Judah knew he was guilty of not securing the promise of the seed through Judah. He was more in the wrong than Tamar. Yes, Judah paid a heavy price in betraying Joseph. Thanks for teaching that. Humble praise. Fortunately, Tamar was wise enough to require Judah's items as a withholding until he paid

I just stumbled across biblos tonight. Great messages love the content.
Amen to all that Brother Urshan spoke out of Godly wisdom.

So good. So true. I’ve seen it happen to so many! Thank you for this Word!
I’ve seen it happen too. It’s tragic when people lose out with God over it.

What an amazing way to discuss this sensitive subject. It's essentially what Paul did when he publicly discussed Peter's actions. Love Biblos.

Beautiful teaching from the Word. Thank you, Bro. Urshan! Please give your parents love from the Cain family. ♥️🙏
Yes! We have to see that Tamar was on the middle of the Joseph story. It was all in how he treated others.
So excellent!
