Hee Haw was the best TV program back when i was growing up ! Real country music no freels just good country music and good talented artist ! Didn't need auto tune or fancy pyro techniques or just plain good musicians and artists ! Why can't they do shows like that today ?
One of my closest old fellas that passed away a few years ago used to sing this song and it reminds me of him. We used to ride motorcycles together. I miss that old guy. He just got old and wore out and it was his time. But this song is quite affectionately close to me because of Bob
I went to Nashville Fan Fair in the late 70's at the time we were allowed to watch the live recording of Hee Haw I got to meet Buck, Box Car, Barbara Mandrell and Loretta Lynn it was amazing such real people to speak too
I used to have a pair of Hee Haw bib overalls shorts! I have got to find that picture. I miss Hee Haw. Roy Clark was one of my favorite guitar players! Check out Malaguena.

Great tune, Susan Raye is absolutely gorgeous... heart melting
Pretty songs, great voices, and steel guitars. I miss the the classics.
Suzy steals the show as soon as she does her verse.

We had a 45 with that song on it from 1953 yes that was the year. I was 7 that year too. Loved Buck Owens and Roy Clark too.

Best cover I have heard. and yes I have heard the Browns
Susan was discovered by Buck around 1968. She was terrific. Big hair and short skirts, what a fun time.
Doesn't get any better, as far as I'm concerned.
I do like this version, but prefer the Browns own version.
Just found you brother. With a name like that I have to subscribe!!!
What class to introduce the steel guitar player at the end of the song!!!
