Frank is in my opinion not only one of the finest Jazz/Fusion guitarists of the last 40 years but also one of the few who writes tunes that are really worthwhile remembering and stick in my musical memory-tunes like "Spikes Song" or "Up in Beachwood" or the one here above-I love them and I'll always be a Big Fan!

One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of his work, is that he often plays over an overloud backing, manic drumbeat driven groove which tends to get in his way a bit.

There's just no way for me to say how great this is! As if I were even qualified to judge it.
I always like to hear great playing with a great band instead of what we have here, which is a click track made to sound like a rhythm section.

Years later...pretty obvious he was right.
George once offered to get me one of his guitars...I declined, as I didn't feel worthy...

The Ibanez sounds great and has its own tone. Though I love the Gibson warm tone, too many have used it over the years on records and the more open clearer acoustic tone of Ibanez is really nice. Oh and the quality of the instrument and details are excellent.

Back in 86-88 I was only a year or two into learning guitar taking lessons at the new George's Music in North Wales, PA. They hosted Frank for a seminar which I went to having no idea who he was. I was just trying to absorb anything guitar. Watching him play and teach (all over my head at the time) my jaw was on the floor. But it opened me up to a whole new world of guitar playing and genre of music. Thanks for the inspiration, Frank!
