Dr. Olivia Namusisi Kasenge, a consultant medical epidemiologist, with over 15 years of experience in applied epidemiology training programs across Africa. As a founding member of the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), established in 2005, she actively contributes to its mission of strengthening public health systems in collaboration with global experts. Driven by her dedication, she specialises in epidemiological research, epidemic response, and community-based interventions. Beyond her professional endeavours, Dr. Olivia is a devoted mother and passionate advocate for children with special needs, particularly from disadvantaged communities. Currently pursuing a PhD in special needs education, she continues to make significant strides in both academia and public health.
