potassium nitrate is the active ingredient in stump remover you can get it walmart just look at the ingredients to get the correct one
Can u do a video showing us you cleaning the pot after you melted the crayons?
You’re supposed to add the powder to the melted crayon. If you do it right there should be little to no crayon residue stuck tot he lot anymore.
Don't reuse it. Non stick pans are bad enough with out traces of potassium nitrate.

You can crush some match heads and add that to the top of the container if you don't got a fuse
this video is going to get someone seriously burned. first off if you have no idea what potasium nitrate is like most the people commenting its not something you just want to cook without knowing what your doing. second that crayon aint going to male the color change to be as vibrant as shown. and finaly the empty paper roll? lol your asking for burns and a giant flaming torch.

this video is fake. potassium nitrate burns at high temperatures and eliminates color, and crayons when they burn do not make color. for a white smoke bomb you can use kno3 and sugar. to make a colored one you will need different ingredients, such as lactose. go to youtube and search tkor (the king of random) colored smoke bombs.

how long are u supposed to mix the powder mixture with the crayons after the crayons have melted?
Until the color is well mixed in and the mixture is uniform, you don’t want the other chemicals, which are white, to be left showing. So whatever color the crayon is - is what color the entire mixture should be. The better it is mixed, the better it will burn and the better smoke color will look.
You can mix it as much or as little as you want. This video is fake. You can't get colored smoke with this mixture. It burns too hot and destroys the dye in the crayons.

Do you have to use crayons? or can you use food dye or any other dye?
no can be organic dye or oil based pigment
Food dye burns off has to be solvent dye in order to produce smoke

It can but less smoke
Use wax candles and it will produce good dense white smoke. Regular crayons dont make colored smoke. Its actually a chemical process that produces the colored smoke.

Oil pastels will work from the dollar store. Make sure their oil and use 1 table spoon of baking soda to cool your burn. They work just fine

@@revis77 it dissent matter how deep you put the fuse in. Don't expect colored smoke though. This mixture will not produce colored smoke.

Cannon fuse can be found on Amazon. Potassium nitrate is a common stump remover you can buy at home depot. You can make a smoke bomb using these ingredients but you won't get colored smoke. This video is fake. The mixture burns too hot and destroys the dye

It won't work this video is fake. Potassium nitrate burns to hot for colored smoke. You need Potassium chlorate and solvent dye. Solvent dye can be expensive and hard to find.

I tried this several months back and only used 1 crayon with no luck what so ever, just plain white smoke. Just tried it again...this time I used 3 crayons...same results! What can I do differently to make my smoke the color of crayons I use?
Nothing will work. Kno3 and sugar burns too hot. The dye in the crayons will vaporize. This video is fake

Buy visco fuse on ebay or amazon cheap. Or u can make ur own using yarn. Mix 60% kno3 and 40% sugar, then boil a very small amount avout 1/4-1/3 cup water, mix in the kno3/sugar until disolved, remove from heat, put yarn in the mix and heep stirring til its absorbed by ur yarn. Remove from pan and dry in oven on old cookie sheet or foil for half hour on 300°. Cut to length. And u got a nice fuse.

From the video, smoke bombs look harmless but the El Dorado fire 🔥 was apparently caused by smoke bombs.
Like anything having to do with fire, precautions should be made and common sense used. I'm sure the (dumb) couple decided to light smoke bombs, celebrate...then walk (or ran) away.

Yes. Kno3 is the oxidizer sugar is the fuel. This will make smoke but not colored smoke. Video is fake
you can do with Magnesium & sugar instead, just that you have to cook it, + add food coloring, then it ain't dangerous to inhale, keep in mind that Potassium N & Crayons can both trigger Asthma, Magnesium is a very thick & short lasting smoke that won't affect your breathing that much.
The Sad thing about Sugar & Magnesium is that you can basically add whatever you want to the sugar mix, witch makes it not legal, so don't add anything except food coloring to your mix.
